Butterfly Love!

Today I'm blogging for The Rubber Cafe. I was in the mood for blue today....and decided to go with a love theme anyway! This card would be perfect for the mom's, sisters or friends in your life when you want to send them a little hug in an envelope!

I used the Large Highwing Butterfly, stamped in black and then colored with Copic Markers. I popped up the wings with foam tape for a touch of dimension. The loopy L in I Love You just seemed to fit my butterfly theme.

Other items used on this card:
~black spica glitter pens
~Sizzix die cut
~Martha Stewart border punch
~Signo White Gel Pen
~Distressing Tool

Featuring Fred, She Said!

Good Morning!! It's been a few days between posts here...but I've been playing right along!!
Yesterday Tracey-Lynn from Fred, She Said Digital Designs challenged us to use ribbon in some way.

I'm using really tiny ribbon here.....old embroidery floss!! It is some off brand that never made it in my DMC floss boxes....and now it's been put to use on my card! I'm not sure of the company who makes the heart stamp, I believe they are out of business...but I found this image in my stash and felt like playing with it! I also used real hand stitching on the top and bottom of the it! Happy Valentine's Day is from The Rubber Cafe, I love the font! The reason I used the heart image on the front of the card is because it resembles a box of fancy chocolates!!

...and these are some of the new pre-colored digital images from Fred, She Said Designs called Better Than Chocolate! This one just makes me laugh! The card looks so sweet...and then you open it up and it's really a bit sassy!

This card is so pretty...I used another of the recently released Fred, She Said Digital images called Daisies With Bracket Borders. I printed the image on some designer paper and added a few highlights with a blue Copic Marker. The addition of a few heart stickers from Stampendous and adhesive pearls really dresses it up. The flower is by Prima, the brad buddy by Paper Wishes. Thinking of you is by Wordsworth.

And this is a card that will finish up the set I posted the other day featuring Daisies With Bracket Borders. I decided to use up some of my larger flowers and cut them apart to create a flower resembling a tulip! I like the way it mimics Tracey's medallion design. Ribbon by May Arts! Fabric flower by Imaginisce.
Thanks so much for stopping by....I'd love to hear what you think about these cards!

Sorry Dude!

Hi, and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge! This week's challenge is to make a masucline humorous card.

This week's sponsor is Dustin Pike, and he has lots of funny, masculine images.
Dustin is giving away three digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner. To play along with our challenge, simply leave a direct link to your card via Mr. Linky, or if you don't have a blog, you can upload your entry to an on-line gallery using keyword DTC43.

I used images from Fred, She Said Digital Designs. The Empty Pockets Shrugger set is so cute and it comes with several funny sentiments. This one made me grin!
I colored my image with Copic Markers, so simple! A quick pairing with some masculine designer paper and you've got a fun card for a fella!

Finally, the details on my card! I used one of Tracey-Lynn's gorgeous Faux Foldy Flowers V1 sets, found me some designer paper in my stash that was like her blog background and I was off! I love the Shapeabilities Fleur De Lis lacey when done up in white! The verse is from Hero Arts and was perfect for this card! A Martha Stewart butterfly punch and some bling finished off my card

Just My Type 2

Well...I had to make one more card with Just My Type from The Rubber Cafe....I *love* this stamp set! This time I colored the image with Copic Markers....I *love* them too!! I cut out the image since I also *love* to cut and wanted to showcase the colored image without the white background I stamped it on. I had just enough of this fun ribbon in my stash and the heart pin is the perfect embellishment.

I'd *love* to have you comment on this post and tell me which of the newly released stamps is the one YOU *love!* Better a link to a card you made with it!! I would *love* to come and check it out and leave you some *love!*

Here is the shipping deal at The Rubber Cafe right now....copied straight off the blog: We now offer $0.99 Shipping in the US &
Canada plus CDN$ at PAR ....who doesn't love a deal?! Be sure to check it out!!

Letterbox Cards and the EIO Design Team!

Thanks for taking time to stop by today to see what I've been up to! I've got on my mind today and would like to announce the 2010 Design Team!

1. Michelle Pearson - DT Coordinator

2. Julie Okada

3. Danni Reid

4. Kim Gruetzmacher

5. Trudy Sjolander

6. Julie Glasgow

Looking forward to a great term and working with Barb and these talented ladies!!

I recently posted a set of cards that I made using American Craft's Letterbox Collection. That set has been sold and I've been asked to add to here are the three cards that I made to complete the set!

This first card uses some of the label shapes off of the Sincerely sheet. The minute I saw the blue tag, I thought of a cloud...and how perfect that the provided me with a round green tag for my *tree!* I hand cut the tree trunk and then needed some birds for my tree. The are cut out from the See You sheet and are already glittered! Relax is a Flair Adhesive Badge which adds a fun punch to the card.
Get well soon features a pink label that I cut out of the Sincerely sheet. I cut the blue flower out of the Faithfully sheet. Background paper is Greetings. Feel Better Soon is from Note Flair. This collection is so fun to mix and match and the scale of the designs make it perfect for cardmaking!!
Miss you features a journaling sticker from American Crafts that I re-purposed for a design element. Again I used a label cut from the Sincerely sheet and a Flair Adhesive Badge. Background paper is Respectfully.

Ellie meets Sketch and Stash!

One more sketch card and that's it for today!! I played the Sketch and Stash Challenge for the first time this week! I LOVED this with a paper collection. I don't normally design with purple...but I really like how this turned out!

I used Ellie the Elephant from Stamp Shoppe Creations, and the *leaves* for my flowers are actually the tree fronds from Martin Monkey. I colored the image with Copic Markers.

The designer paper is by Fiskars and the images are new to me, both from The Stamp Shoppe!

Hippity Hoppity!

I'm back again....have been busy on the sketches this week! I played Stampin For The Weekend's Sketch Challenge this week. I used images from Stamp Shoppe Creations' January 2010 release for this card! Just love that bunny....I wanna nibble his ear!! These images will be up on the site soon for purchase....until then, contact Heidi through email if you'd like to add them to your collection!

Flowers: Imaginice
Embossing Folder: Sizzix
Cardstock: SU!
Designer Paper: unknown

I'd Be Dragon Without You!

This was my first go at the Sketch Saturday Challenge! Fun sketch I thought! I used Smokey and I'd Be Dragon Without You from Stamp Shoppe Creations for my creation! I have thought since I first saw him that he needed to be pink and brown!! I colored him with Copic Markers. The designer paper is from SU! and has been distressed with brown ink.

A fun thing I did on the Cuttlebugged background was to sand it, so it was white, and then I ran a brown ink pad over the sanded areas...this give it a slightly fuzzy corduroy look!

LOVE - Digital Tuesday Challenge 43!

It's Tuesday again, and time for another challenge at Digital Tuesday! Suzie is hosting the challenge this week.

She presented us with this sketch. You can combine your challenges but it must be a new card/project and there must be a digital image on your creation.

Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe and they kindly gave us all some images to have a play with as you can see and they are offering our winner 3 of their fantastic sets.

For this card I changed the layers around...I needed the long rectangle to be on top since I wanted to play with this fun flower image!! I colored the image with Copic markers and Spica glitter pens. Love the EK Success border punch, it's so lacey and fun!

Designer paper is from BoBunny.

Mojo Monday 122 - You're Purr-fect!

It's been a while since I've been able to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.
This was a fun sketch that worked perfectly with the new images from Stamp Shoppe Creations.
Sylvester is hanging out so adorably on the branch letting you know You're Purr-fect!

Other items on this card are by Cuttlebug, Prima, Copic and Sizzix! I hope he made you smile!

Just My Type

Oooh, I just love the Just My Type set from The Rubber Cafe! I was blog hopping yesterday and came across a pink cool would that be?! I think I'd just have to have it for decoration!!! There was a pink sewing machine too!

I colored my typewriter with copic markers, spica glitter pens and Deco Pink and White Prismacolor Pencils. I used all of the type-written sentiments in the set as a background cool is that?!

This is definately a new favorite stamp set....perfect for any occasion. I can see it as a masculine birthday card too....when I'm not in a pink mood!!

If you are here for the Fred She Said Blog Hop....hop THIS WAY!

Digital Tuesday Challenge 41 -

It's Tuesday and time to share the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog's 41st challenge! Shelly is our hostess this week, and our challenge was a nice and simple create a project using embossing.
So grab those embossing folders, templates or powders. Remember to use a digital image somewhere on your card and don't forget to add your link to Mr. Linky on the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog!

Our sponsor this week is: Digital Stamp Oasis, who is offering the winner 3 digital stamps from their store. Head on over to Digital Stamp Oasis to see all the cute images that are available!

My card uses leaves from Fred, She Said's Fred's Flowers v6 Daisies set that I printed on pink designer paper. I cut six of them out and reassembled them as a flower base for my snowflake *blossom!* I folded each leaf down the center to give the flower some dimension and then attached some layered Nestablilites Snowflake dies that I cut from some shimmery white cardstock. The swirlys under the blossom are cut from Sizzix's Flower & Vines #2 die.

The glittery heart border is called Heart Attack and is by WeR Memory Keepers. I layered that over a panel that I embossed with a new to me Sizzix embossing folder that I picked up this summer. A Making Memories decorative brad finishes off my frosty blossom!

Thanks for stopping by!

This post is featuring, and since I wasn't online last Saturday, I'm posting four cards that I created with the American Crafts Letterbox Collection! This collection is perfect for cardmakers since the prints are scaled down perfectly! I love the range of colors and decided to make a card set.

The first card features Letterbox's Adieu designer paper. I paired all of these papers with a dark truffle brown cardstock. The flower element is cut from Letterbox's Faithfully designer paper. The flower center is a American Crafts Note Flair adhesive badge. The sentiment is a SU! rubon that I added to an American Crafts Cardstock sticker.

Other items on this card include:

~SU! Photo Corner Punch
~Making Memories Edge Distressor
~Sizzix - Flower & Vines #2

My second card features American Craft Letterbox's Respectfully designer paper. Happiness Always is by SU! and is stamped on an American Craft's carstock sticker. I added some May Arts 1-inch Satin Ribbon and Blue Skies Relax Flair.
Other items on this card include:
~Cuttlebug's Textile Embossing Folder

~SU! Photo Corner Punch
For my final card today I used Letterbox's Sir designer paper. I paired it with another flower that I cut out from Letterbox's Faithfully designer paper. I topped the flower off with a Letterbox Note Flair adhesive badge.
