Toot Toot and Prickley Pear Monday!

Happy Monday!  I had a fun surprise yesterday....to find that I am the Featured Stamper for this week's Splitcoast Stampers' Featured Stamper Challenge!   It has been fun to see how others have been inspired by my SCS Gallery!  I'd love to see how you've been inspired too!

Today's card is for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and features the Winter Birds image which I colored with Copic Markers: W7, W5, W3, W1, E35.  I framed it with Spellbinders' Label Twenty die.  I added some Art Institute Pearl glitter for my snow.

Designer papers are from Prima's Madeline collection.  The sentiment is from the Birdcage Winter set.

I glittered my lace for a frosty feel!  Be sure you check out the Prickley Pear Blog today to see what the Design Team has been up to!

Leaf Swirls Home Decor

This week's challenge at The Rubber Cafe is to make a home decor item...and I was inspired by the Leaf Swirls image and Tesa's challenge card this week.

I found this kraft box that has been in my stash for a bit. I did some black embossing on kraft cardstock and then fussy cut the leaves and glued them to some black glossy linen cardstock.

I wrapped some coordinating ribbon around the box, as well as some twine which I threaded through a vintage button.  I finished the top of my box off with some Prima flowers and a brown Candi center.

We hope you can join in the challenge....Melissa always gives a nice prize for a random participant!
Maybe this is your week to win!

I love this new set called Lovely Day from Faith at Designed2Delight!  I colored the image with the Copic Markers shown below:

Next, I fussy cut the tree and owl images.  Papers are from BasicGrey's Oxford Collection.  The grass is popped up on foam tape for added dimension and is tied with twine for a touch of fun!

Faith has been busy..so be sure to pop by the store and check out all of the new stuff!

Hope!

This is one of THREE posts today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!

This image is the FREE Breast Cancer Awareness image from McMahon Five Designs this month.
You can see all of the Breast Cancer Awareness images in the store.

I colored my bird with Copics: R89, R85, R83, R81.  Next I cut out the image and followed the SCS Sketch Challenge 355.

Sending MORE Sunshine!

Today I'm sharing another pink-touched card in honor of Our Craft Lounge's Breast Cancer Awareness Week.

For my card I used images from the Sunshine Cheer set.  I stamped them on Xpress-It cardstock and colored the images with the Copic markers shown below.
Lots of fussy cutting on this card...but I find it relaxing. I'll be back tomorrow with one more Our Craft Lounge card...I'm enjoying my stint as Guest Designer and am looking forward to sticking around for November as well!

Meadow's Sunset ~ McMahon Five Designs

This is one of THREE posts today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
This card features a digital image from McMahon Five Designs called Meadows Sunset.  I colored the image lightly with prismacolor pencils.

I followed the SCS Color Inspiration Challenge today which was to use Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze and Island Indigo.  I didn't have Island Indigo, so I substituted Not Quite Navy in it's place.

I made a window card using Paper Cut's window card and frame as a template.  I embossed the frame with a Sizzix embossing folder.  The vintage seam binding is a dead ringer for SU!'s Rich Razzleberry.

Inky Antics Blog Hop!

This is one of three posts today....so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
Welcome to the Inky Antics Autumn Critters Blog Hop!

The blog hop starts today and ends on Sunday, October 30th at midnight Central time.

You may have come from Crystal's blog, but if not, you will want to start on the Inky Antics blog and visit all of the desigers! One person’s name will be drawn at random to receive both of the clear sets used in this hop.

Visit each DT members’ blog to view their projects and leave a comment for each designer. The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please).  The winner’s name will be announced on the Inky Antics blog next Monday, so remember to stop back and see if you’ve won!

I used the Autumn Dogs Clear Set - 11064MC for my project, along with the Gift Bag Template - X1-0020.  I stamped the template on the back of some fun texutred cardstock twice and assembled my bag.  I usually tie my bag shut with a flap...but this time I taped  the front flap down inside my bah and then just tucked the back one in to close my bag.  Easy peasy!

I used a large netted ribbon for a fun rustic finishing touch.

The next stop on your hop is Trudy's blog!  Happy Fall Y'all!

SIX Cards with Gorjuss Girl Die Cut Decoupage Kit

This is one of THREE posts today....so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!

This post is for iCopic and I decided to play with the Gorjuss Girl Die Cut Decoupage Kit pieces that Ashley sent my way.

The quick overview on the site says the die cuts are produced on light card/heavyweight paper, with a splash of glitter. Decoupage sizes are suitable for creations on A5 / 5x7" cards and smaller for some toppers.

I made SIX A2 cards with the pieces I was sent.  This is a great way to make a set of cards for a gift, or a quick card for any reason.  I had fun playing with papers from my scrap drawers to make this set of cards.

The faux *button* on this one is actually punched from the packaging...yep...I'm nifty that way!

There are many beautiful Gorjuss stamps in the store as well as these kits....so be sure to check them all out for some hours of creative fun!

Happy Bird-Day ~ Our Craft Lounge

This is one of three posts today, so scroll for more inspiration!  Enjoy!
This card is for Our Craft Lounge featuring the Swingin' By set.  I followed the SCS Technique Lovers Challenge for the week where the challenge was to stamp a border for your card.

I stamped my image on white, added some Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass for my sky and colored my grass with a variety of green Copic markers.  For my tree, I oclored and fussy cut it twice, once coloring the trunk and then again with the leaves which I colored with green and covered with Appletini Sparkly Fluff! I popped my leaves up with foam tape for some dimension.  The birdhouse is also popped up on foam.

I stamped the tiny birds around my card for a border.  Fun challenge and fun set!

I'm posting for Our Craft Lounge every day this week with a touch of pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness.  Hope to see you again tomorrow!

Bloomin' Fabulous - Our Craft Lounge

This is one of two posts today...so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
This card is for Our Craft Lounge...another card with a touch of pink in honor of breast cancer awareness week.

For this card I followed the SCS Saturday Inspiration Challenge which was to use a photo on the Liberty site as our inspiration.  Here is the photo that inspired me.

I stamped images from the Pretty Petals set on some Bazzil cardstock with SU! Brocade Blue Ink.  Then I colored the images in with white colored pencil and then erased them for this soft and muted look.

I colored one flower with Copic Markers: R89, R85, R83, R81, YG97, YG95, YG93 and then fussy cut it and mounted it on foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Say It With Flowers set.

I will be sharing a card for Our Craft Lounge each day this week....so be sure to stop back and be inspired!

Simple Sunflower

This is one of two posts today...so scroll for more inspiration!
Today's challenge is for the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog where our challenge this week is to use buttons and/or twine.

I colored the image with the following Copic Markers:  E49, E47, E44, E42, E41, YG97, YG95, YG93, YG91, YR14, YR24.

I used a window card and panel from The Paper Cut and then fussy cut and mounted my image on foam tape for some pop!

Sweet Blossom ~ One Crazy Stamper

This is one of three posts today....so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
This card is for One Crazy Stamper and uses the adorable Sweet Blossom image!  This card is not in season...but I was inspired to use some scraps of wrapping paper from my daughter's birthday...which happened to be pretty tulips!  I decided to make a spring card even though fall is in full swing and winter will be here before long.  You never know when you might need a perky spring card to cheer up someone's winter blues!

I used the paper in inchie form (slightly smaller, actually, so they would fit on the card!)

I colored the image with Copic Markers: E49, E47, E44, E00, E02, YG17, Y11, Y21, Y35, E43, BG10, R22, R21, RV55, RV63.

I stamped my flowers and leaves on designer papers from BasicGrey's Out Of Print collection and accented the flowers with white color pencil and Art Institute's Pearl Glitter.  I used Spellbinders Labels Four and Grand Labels Four for my card.  The card is actually the largest die you see...I mounted my shaped card on an embossed panel.  The embossing folder is one from Sizzix.

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be posting a new Our Craft Lounge card each day this week...so c'mon back for more inspiration!

Ellie The Gift Card Holder

This is one of three posts today...so be sure to scroll to be inspired!  Enjoy!

I'm sharing a fun project I made featuring Prickley Pear's new Ellie stamp which I colored with the following Copics:  R59, R29, B97, B95, B93, BG0000.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape.

This is a fun card I did for the the SCS Free For All Challenge 87, I followed the SCS Tutorial for the  Slit Latch Gift Card Holder.  Quick, easy and fun!

Below is the inside of the giftcard holder:
I embossed the Crumb Cake panel with Sizzix's Swirls, Ribbons and Snowflakes Embossing Folder.  I used SU!'s Slit Punch to make an area for my gift card.  The Chocolate Truffle layer has been embossed with Cuttlebug's Snowflake Embossing Folder.

Other items used on this card are Sizzix/SU! Snowflake die and seam binding.

Elegant Fall with The Rubber Cafe

I'm loving this week's Rubber Cafe challenge...and went with a more natural elegance for my fall card.  No bling, just some gorgeous designer papers to set off one of my favorite Rubber Cafe images...the Yellow Foxtail.

I used two sets of Nestibilities Labels Four Dies; the Small as well as the smallest of the Grand Labels Four set.  These are a dream to run through the Spellbinders Grand Calibur, you can do several dies with one pass!

Papers are Prima's Madeline collection.  I distressed the script paper with Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and the Lil Inkerz.

I used twine and a touch of sanding and faux stitching to embellish my card.

Be sure to pop by The Rubber Cafe Blog this week to see the design team's elegant fall projects and check out the challenge details and prizes...you won't want to miss it!

Inspired Floral for McMahon Five Designs

Today I'm sharing a card for McMahon Five Designs featuring the Stained Glass image.  I used SCS's Inspiration Challenge today...we were to be inspired by a photo from the Liberty site.  Here is a link to the photo I used for my card...I was inspired by the print, the colors and the stitching.

The card uses Chocolate Truffle cardstock and seam binding for contrast and I used the Copic Markers below:

iCopic ~ Sew Lovely!

Today I'm sharing a card done for iCopic using Lawn Fawn's set called Sew Lovely.  I paired it up with Authentique's Blissful Collection.

I paper pieced the dress and used YR24 to add some shading detail to the image.  I stamped the sewing machine directly on the designer paper and used W5 and W3 to add some shading detail.

Other card details include faux stitching, wide ricrac, a vintage button and some blanket binding that I shaped into a rosette.

iCopic has a wide variety of designer paper pads that you will want to collect!  Also, if you are a Copic Marker buff...the new Copic carrier is soooooo cool!  Check it out!

Inky Antics Fun Projects!

This is my second post today, so scroll down for more inspiration!
This fun card features Inky Antics' Delightful Dogs #1 Clear Set.  I stamped the bone repeatedly on the background, ran it through my Xyron sticker machine and then coverd with Art Institute's Juicy Fruit Ultrafine Transparent Glitter.

I colored my image with Gamsol and Prismacolor Pencils.  The frosting and birthday greeting are accented with a coordinating Sakura Souffle' pen.

I have been using up my HoneyPop scraps...stretch them out and make all sorts of fun borders.  I sewed this one on and then tied some bakers twine from Pink Paislee's Soiree collection over the top.

My next project features the same stamp set, used in a different way.  I colored my dog pink so it would contrast with my brown box.

This fun box template is a great way to give a little gift with your card!  Use it for candy...or tuck in some cash or gift cards...it is the perfect size!
Finally, my last card is a Clean And Simple fall card. I used the Bountiful Basket image and paired it with Happy Fall. See the details on the Inky Antics Project Page.

I have had fun using up Honey Pop scraps...just stretch them out and you will find all sorts of fun designs. This one is particularly lacey!
I hope you found some inspiration here today!  Happy Tuesday!

Falloween!

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge...and this week we were to make a Halloween Card.

I chose to go with the Falloween Cat image from Designed2Delight.  I went with a more *fallish* theme for my card.  I added some doodled frames and colored my image with Copic Markers.

My embellishments are some epoxy buttons that have been around here a while.  I selected the fallish-colored ones and threaded them on some narrow black ribbon for a fun fall border.

Be sure you check out the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog to see all of the other Halloween inspiration and to see what you could win for joining in the challenge!

My last two cards feature some fun images again, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and popped up on foam tape.  My ghost is shaded with a hint of BV000, though it doesn't show up in the photo.

iCopic Challenge ~ Baby Cards!

This is one of two posts today....so be sure to check out the other post for more inspiration!

The challenge at iCopic this week is a baby themed project or to color in only pink or blue.
I decided to give that concept a spin...and did the same card once in pink and once in blue!
Be sure you check out all of the details to our challenge on the blog!!

I colored each Stampavie image with the five copic shades of each color family.  Give this idea a shot...it's fun!

The designer papers come from a 6x6 pad...check out this polka dot pad in the store!

Also in the store available for pre-order and shipping this week is the new COPIC Carrying Case that holds up to 380 copic markers!  Check it out!!

Spooky!

This week's challenge is a Halloween Layout...and I'm sharing a layout I made of a project my 2nd grade son did for school. We don't celebrate Halloween, so I don't have any Halloween photos to scrap, so I'm sharing a layout I did for my son's school album that uses lots of Halloween images available in the store!  He had a ball making this project!
He had to create a scene for a spooky story. He had fun creating a scene with the images from The Rubber Cafe. He did the stamping, colored all of the images and directed the scene. He added a path to the house with landscaping rocks and cut apart some silk flowers I had around for leaves. I helped with cutting the images and dad sprayed the shoebox black and hung the bats and ghost.
We used lots of images from The Rubber Cafe for this project and layout!
DS colored his images with color pencil. I colored mine with Copics and the bat motel I did with the glitter and acetate technique to coordinate with his color scheme. The bats in the shadowbox were stamped on acetate with stazon, punched out and then attached with a glue dot to some glitter paper scraps. We hung the images with fishing line on a bead so we could turn them as needed.

I paired my image with Making Memories designer paper and the following copic markers.
