A Pile of McMahon Five Designs Cards!

It's been a while since I shared the McMahon Five Designs cards that I've been making!  This first one is a bit late for the holiday....but the frame is such that I think you could use it for any season!  I printed the image and colored it with subtle shades of Copic Markers. R02, E41, E43, YG93, YG95, YG91.
Image: Christmas Ivy Frame
Also used to embellish my card was a wood element: Real Wood Paper.

I have three fun cards made using the Snowflake Sensation.  I printed my images off on Ink Jet Transparency and then glittered them with You're So Fine Glitters.  Check out the link to see a fabulous creation done up with the wood!  Amazing!!

Finally, I have a card featuring this months Free BCA image.
I colored this image with simple dots of color for a different look.  I was inspired by some Zig Dotta-Riffic pens I saw in my stash.

I'm also entering these cards in the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week!

Prickley Pear Card Duo!

I have some springy-themed cards for you today featuring Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!

My first card is a collage-style card featuring the Birdcage Clearly Beautiful Stamp Set and Birdcage Die.  I die cut the cage with gold metallic cardstock.  I layered the birdcage die over the Scalloped Oval Die and popped a few birds on there with foam tape.  The Clock with Wings image is stamped on designer paper and then popped up with foam tape with a brad in the center of the clock hands.
My second card features the new Spring Crosses CLR032 Clearly Beautiful Stamp Set and Cross Die.  I popped the cross up on foam tape over a window die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The background in the window is some Prima Marketing packaging!  How could I throw that away?! *wink!*  With Sympathy is available in red rubber.

The Prickley Pear store is experiencing a glitch...so if any of these images strike your fancy and you wish to order, please contact Nicole or Mary at prickleypearstamps@gmail.com.  Thanks!

Goodbye ~ From The Heart

Michelle here with my last Glue-ista post for The Rubber Cafe.   I'm focusing one more time on stamping with glue and have two cards for you...and a valentine as well.

You may remember these photos from an earlier post...here were the main players:

Had a brain fade when I did this tonight...and I forgot to use my handy dandy Lil' Inkerz Sponge, but this just shows you that it can be done without in a pinch!  This way is a tad bit more messy, but it cleans up!

I stamped my images on some coordinating designer papers and set them aside to dry.

After they dried a bit, I covered them with the glitters.
Next I fussy cut all of my elements...I usually make more than I need...I use up the glue and I have spares for another project.

Today I have two new cards that I had in my stash from this glue stamping session!  I layered my flowers on some beautiful coated and textured cardstock, which just happens to be hard to photograph!

And I couldn't resist a valentine using the Ornamental Holiday Set as well as the From The Heart sentiment to create a vintage valentine!
I tucked some vintage sheet music fragments into the pocket I created and added a flurry of flowers and Candi from the Hardware set for my flower centers.  The hearts are stamped with Stazon ink onto cream coated papers and then glittered with Patriot Red You're So Fine Glitter/Scrap Happy Glue!

Supplies:
I have enjoyed every moment working for Melissa and The Rubber Cafe.  I've posted 176 posts over the years on my blog featuring these gorgeous images.  The addition of Scrap Happy Glue and You're So Fine Glitter was a fun one....I'm in love...and ALL of my dust bunnies have glitter in them!

Inky Antics CHA Release: Kitchen Comforts!

Here is another batch of Inky Antics CHA stuff I've been sitting on! Thanks again to Jackie and the Inky Antics Blog for showcasing them so beautifully!

>>After months of behind-the-scenes preparations, I'm so excited to show you the previews of our Spring '13 release this week. I hope you've enjoyed seeing them as much as I've enjoyed bringing them to you!

Last but definitely not least is our new Kitchen Comforts collection, drawn by artist Nancy Baier of Shady Tree Studio.  If you're a foodie-type person, you'll find all kinds of tasty tidbits in this series.

Speaking of Kitchen Comforts, what could be more comforting than a nice, hot cup of tea? This card is a lovely invitation to have a dear friend join you for "a cuppa," so you can catch up with each other:

It was created with 11147MC Tea Time Elements Clear Set, which features a variety of tea-related images and three coordinating sayings.

If you're more of a coffee-type person, we've also got you covered! The images in 11145MC Coffee Time Clear Set have a delightful vintage appeal:

But beverages are not the only items on the menu. This veggie scene in 11146MC Soup Time Clear Set will be a flavorful addition to your stash:

Thanks to Michelle Pearson for her deliciously wonderful cards.

There are also two more sets in the Kitchen Comforts collection, including a very "sweet" group of stamps for those who like to bake...or eat baked goods, like me. ;-)

Only two more days until these stamps will be posted on the main Inky website, along with all the others you've seen in the sneak peeks this week! Which ones are on your must-have list so far?<<

MarkerPOP Pretty In Pink Challenge!

It's time for a new challenge on MarkerPop and this week's challenge was mine to pick....so we're going with Pretty In Pink!!

I went with the Summer Cake image from Magnolia...that cake is just adorable!   I colored it with Copic Markers:  R35, R32, RV42, R21, E49, E47, YG63, YG61, YR68, YR07, Y38.  I covered the frosting and candle flames with some You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight Glitter.  I fussy cut the cake and popped it up on foam tape.

Papers and brads are from My Mind's Eye's Sweetest Thing's Lavender and Tangerine's collections.  I punched some vintage sheet music for a bit of a fun birthday theme touch!

Inky Antics Flower Chick Spring Cards!

Here is another post full of new Inky Antics' Inspiration!  This time I added in a few images from my Inky Antics' sets for a different twist!  Thanks Jackie for another beautiful post; as seen on Inky Antics' blog!

>>Now that the Spring '13 release is available on the main Inky website, you've been able to see all of our newest HoneyPOP items!

One of them is a "tweet" little chickie, which is the main character in 11151MC Flower Chick HoneyPOP Clear Set (drawn by artist Tammy DeYoung):

Inky designer Michelle Pearson created different projects using this same set. Here's the featured card for it:

Scroll upward just a tad from this spot, and you'll find it...along with the pop-out honeycomb "surprise" inside:

Did you notice that vibrant blue vase? It's made from our brand new Blue Raspberry Honeycomb Pad!

For a different look on the card front, you might want to try this layout instead:

What happens if you pull out your 11102SC Fabulous Flower Clear Set (created by Michelle Pearson):

Along with 11104MC Simple Sentiments Clear Set (also created by Michelle):

That's right, you get a charming card like this:

It's an example of a "regular," non-honeycomb card using a HoneyPOP set...although personally I think it's anything but regular.

The HoneyPOP flowers are like a burst of spring (in the middle of winter), and the foam tape placed behind the chick and vase images adds dimension.

Have YOU made a honeycomb card, as well as a non-honeycomb version, using the same HoneyPOP clear stamp set (i.e., any set from our entire HoneyPOP collection)? If so, I'd love to see your work. Please email JPG files to me at inkyantics@aol.com.

For projects that are posted on this blog (Inky Antics' Blog), you'll get lots of accolades and pick up a few adoring fans, to boot. Plus we'll send you a nifty thank-you goodie! What could be better?<<

Prickley Pear Clearly Beautiful CHA Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Prickley Pear Clearly Beautiful CHA Release Blog Hop!    If you've arrived from Lucy Chesna's blog, you're right on track, if not, please start on the Prickley Pear Blog and follow the hop through.  Leave a comment on each blog along the way for your chance to win the fabulous prize below!  We will select a winner on January 26th and post it on the Prickley Pear Blog!

I used the new CLR015A Blobby Flowers 2 Clearly Beautiful Stamp Set and the Blobby Flower Die.  I stamped the flowers on papers from My Mind's Eye's The Sweetest Thing - Lavender Collection and then highlighted them with coordinating Copic Markers:  B000, B00, R83, Y21.

I used the Scalloped Oval Die as a base for the Butterfly image/Butterfly Die.

This card is a fun shape...it is a vertical A2 card on which I layered a 5 inch scalloped circle which will fit into a square envelope.

Your next stop on the hop is Steph Ackerman's blog.  Enjoy!

Crystal Snowflake!

Today I have a card using the Crystal Snowflake image from Fred, She Said Digital Designs!

The coloring on this is a bit wonky....as the snowflake is gold glitter, I will give you another view below:

I printed the image on a sheet of ink jet transparency film and then glittered the opposite side with Gold Medal You're So Fine Glitter and then fussy cut the image.  I also used some Scor-tape to add some glittery borders on my card.

I used My Mind's Eye's paper, Candi Dot embellishments, Washi tape banners and a Stampin' Up! sentiment to finish my card.

MarkerPOP Thursday!

mp 1.16.13.1
Happy Thursday! I must say...I am ready to leave this week behind!! My daughter caught up stomach bug on top of the cold she still hasn't completely shaken. Let's just say that Mom hasn't been feeling too creative this week!

Hopefully you'll forgive me for no 3D project today...I needed to ease back into stamping with a card...my first love!

I went with some fun products: La-La Land Crafts Marci With Cat, Authentique's Lively Collection (don't you just love these papers?!) and Copic Markers. I used the following Copic Markers: RV55, RV52, R02, E00, E02, E35, YR24, YR23, Y21, E57, E57.

My little tip of the day....don't forget to use paper piecing as a fun way to add a touch of interest to your little people's clothes! I chose more muted pattern for her dress and then shaded it with copic markers like I would have, had I just colored it on the white cardstock.

Here's to the weekend!!

Inky Antics CHA Release: Worldly Women

I have a lot more CHA samples to share...and here is another post I'm borrowing from Jackie on the Inky Antics Blog!

>>We're replacing our usual Friday Funnies post with a CHA preview that is a very fitting substitute. It's darn near impossible to look at our Worldly Women collection and not crack a smile!

Nancye Williams has a knack for drawing funny ladies that will make you chuckle, and the coordinating sayings are downright hilarious.

Take a gander at our friend Faye, for instance, who is included in 11139MC Fashionable Worldly Women Clear Set:

Wow, she's sure wearing a lot of bling...but with good reason. Everyone knows how distracting all those baubles are!

Getting older is part of life, and sometimes we just have to poke fun at ourselves. This card, which was made with 11142MC Gambling Worldly Women Clear Set, is a hoot:

There's all kinds of tongue-in-cheek humor in this collection. If you know someone who can take a bit of kidding around and enjoys being on the golf course, she is sure to love this blithe birthday greeting:

It was created using 11167MC Sporty Worldly Women Clear Set, which also contains an amusing tennis player and related sayings.

Today's final card shows a classic Inky favorite stamp, 0884K Hitting The Town, which was previously only avaiable in the wood mounted version:

Now you'll be able to get it in 11138SC Girlfriends Worldly Women Clear Set, which also includes this silly saying:

Thanks to Inky designer Michelle Pearson for providing these delightful cards...and to YOU, for visiting with us today!

Watch for these stamps (in both clear sets and individual wood mounted) plus many more appearing on the Inky website next Monday, January 14th.<<

CHA Sneak Peek #3: HoneyPOP

That worked so well yesterday, here is another day of CHA previews as shared on the Inky Antics Blog:

>>Welcome to our third day of CHA previews, Inky friends. I'll bet you already knew we wouldn't forget to offer new products in the HoneyPOP collection for our Spring '13 release, right? Of course not!

Tammy DeYoung has drawn five charming stamp sets, and we're taking a peek at three of them today. Let's start with 11150MC Ducky's Egg HoneyPOP Clear Set:

How cute is that little duckling, huh? And when you open the card, check out what's inside:

Yep, it's a three-dimensional Easter egg...made with our new Sherbet Honeycomb Pad! Like our super popular Rainbow Honeycomb Pad, it's got those cool multi-colored stripes. But this pad is full of pastel goodness for a lighter look.

The next set features a sweet little girl holding her basket:

She's from 11152MC Perfect Pear HoneyPOP Clear Set...which means, you guessed it, there's a giant 3-D version of the fruit inside:

Did you spot the new Lime Green Honeycomb Pad? It's such a fresh color for spring, and it's pear-fect for this card!

Remember our 11089MC Teacup Mouse HoneyPOP  Clear Set? Well, little Miss Mousie is busy with her sewing this time:

It "seams" like she has her hands full with this giant honeycomb pincushion:

These images and sayings are from 11153MC Sewing Mouse HoneyPOP Clear Set, and they are "sew" much fun!

Once our Spring '13 products are posted on the main Inky website next Monday, January 14th, you'll be able to see the other two new HoneyPOP Clear Sets, along with an additional new Honeycomb Pad color.

Special thanks to Michelle Pearson for creating these adorable cards. Please check back tomorrow for another sneak peek, one that we hope will make you laugh! <<

Inky Antics CHA SPRING RELEASE!

Today I have some beautiful new images from Inky Antics' CHA release to share with you...as shared on the Inky Antics Blog!

>>Speaking of "great details," I'm delighted to show you these wonderful cards by Michelle Pearson! She made them using some of the stamps from our new Springtime Nature's Moments collection from artist Nancy Baier of Shady Tree Studio.

If you're a long-time fan of Shady Tree Studio, you may recognize this beautiful birdhouse:

Nancy has graciously allowed us to re-release it as part of the Inky line. I've loved this image since I first spotted it on her blog, where she re-drew it onto an art panel. Now I'm thrilled that it's included in 11162MC Birdhouse & Bluebird Clear Set.

You may recall our first releases in the Nature's Moments collection last July. Nancy has also drawn many new designs for this springtime update, including a little bird perched on a birdbath in 11161MC Birdbath & Feeder Clear Set:

One of my favorite aspects of Nancy's illustrations is how relaxed and serene they make me feel. For instance, this vignette from 11160MC Adirondack & Flowers Clear Set reflects the perfect quiet moment:

Can you just imagine sitting on that chair, enjoying a peaceful and sunny afternoon?

The same stamp set also contains this pretty watering can bouquet and coordinating saying:

Not every stamp in this collection is about being calm and tranquil, however. There are three additional clear sets, including some fun, lively designs for Easter and spring.

They'll be available for ordering on the main Inky website starting next Monday, January 14th. I'm excited to hear how you like them all!<<
