This folder is called Ooh La La. For this one I used Cotton Candy and Grape Gelatos on the debossed side of the embossing folder. Then I spritzed it with water and ran the white cardstock through the machine. The white embossing pops the detail of the image.
For this layout I used the very fun and masculine Uber embossing folder. To achieve this effect I applied various Distress Inks to white cardstock and then embossed. As a finishing touch I hit the high spots *direct to paper* to emphasize the embossing a bit more. Very fun as each one turns out so very different!
This embossing folder is called Turkish Delight and though not holiday in theme, it went that direction with this one. I embossed some designer paper and then sanded for this effect.
And here is one more card featuring the Exotic embossing folder. I believe on this one I ran some white cardstock through my Xyron sticker machine and then embossed it before covering it with some copper glitter.
I have a pile more of projects using these fun embossing folders coming soon!
It's my day to post other than stamping for MarkerPop....but since I basically only share my stamping life on my blog...you will get a cute little tooth fairy tin to look at! My daughter is at the stage of losing her teeth!
This is an altoid sized tin which I left silver. I embellished the tin with a bit of ribbon and gems. The papers are from a Basic Grey pad and the image is an older Bella which I colored with Copic markers. There are some darling Mo Manning images in the store that would work in her place. I added some glitter for a fun fairy dust touch.
This tin could be a tooth fairy tin....or just a little trinket tin for a little girl. There is also a loop at the top, so it could be hung. Thanks for stopping by!!

I used the Art Anthology gel paint with my finger and I rubbed it over my birthday banner. I found that it allowed me to sculpt waves into my banner and it dried nice and firm. The ribbon is sandwiched between my designer paper and the mat base. A bit of faux stitching and distressing makes it look right at home!
I added some Washi Tape *candles* and added a few enamel dots for a whimiscal *flame!*
Hope this sweet little project put a touch of Spring in your day! Do you gussy up your gifts?! The little touches are such fun!
Never in a bazillion years would I have guessed that he'd let me share his doodles with the stamping world...but he did and I'm so happy...they are adorable and soooo much fun to color! You can find his images under Draw Me A Daydream AND....he has a BLOG! I will be posting over there each release all of the samples that the design team makes....so if you like a set, keep checking back as I will be making one post per set and will keep updating them!
This week we are releasing three sets. The first one is Pa's Paper and here are 3 cards using the set:
Each set will come with one image that is pre-colored by ME! I have colored each image with Copic Markers to give you a bit of inspiration...or a quick image to grab if you need a card in a hurry!
This one is actually made from the original sketch...but it still is sweet and can be easily made with the set.
Papers are from Simple Stories' Documented collection.
This final card for Pa's Papers uses the black and white image which I colored with Copic markers as well.
Papers are from my scrap bin...and perfect since there is text on the circles!
The next set is called Lil Monster and I have three samples for that set as well:
This image is the pre-colored image offered in the set.
This image I did up with a different color scheme for my son's birthday.
And the final card for this set I paired up with some tags from a DCWV collection I had in my stash.
Happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing some cards using images from From The Heart Stamps (formerly Designed2Delight). I spent some time on a recent vacation coloring images....and now the cards are quick and easy to pop together!
This is another card using the Cupcake Lineup image set. It has been colored with Copic Markers. Ribbon is from May Arts I think and the sequins were in my stash...I'll be using more of those now that I remembered I had them! Paper is from my scrap bin. I'm not sure the set of the sentiment, but it also from From The Hearts Stamps.
The second card uses the Fresh Cut image colored with Copic Markers and accented with Spica Glitter Pens.
Designer paper is from a JoAnn's pad, and the embosses strip is double embosses with Cuttlebug embossing folders. It is a great subtle detail!
My final card is a birthday card featuring the Cupcake Lineup image. A touch of faux stitching, distressing and foam tape make the image pop on this fun birthday embossing folder!
For this first card I inked up a piece of glossy cardstock with alcohol ink and then embossed it. I hit the embossed areas with a sanding block to highlight the image. The flowers/leaves and roses are from Prima, the rose button in the center was from my stash.
The card below was done in a similar fashion. I embossed a piece of coated cardstock and then sanded the embossing. Embellishments on this card include Candi Dot Embellishments and a mishmash of flowers.
If you haven't taken a peek yet...you should...these embossing folders are great! I'll be sharing more samples in the days to come!
I made a collage style card for my first card. The punch is from Martha Stewart. The top shaped layers are traced from some Making Memories packaging and distressed. The designer paper is from Heidi Grace.
I colored the image with Copic Markers and then cut it out leaving a small white border. I popped the image up on foam tape for added dimension.
This card features the same image. I used Candi Dot Embellishments on the card along with an embossed Cuttlebug circle and papers from a JoAnn package I think. Distressing and foam tape finish my Clean And Simple baby card!
It's always amazing to me what a change of designer papers and colors does for an image!
For my second card I used My Mind's Eye's Sweetest Thing's Lavender Collection. I dressed her up with Copic Markers once again: B97, B95, B93, E43, E42, YG17, YG03, E49, E47, R37, RV14, RV13, YR24, Y32, E35. I finished the card up with a touch of faux stitching and seam binding.
Which Whimsy stamp is your favorite?! I'll be honest....I have a hard time deciding...they are soooooo stinkin' cute!!
I haven't mentioned it here yet...but if you like sketch challenges...there is one hosted on the Delightful Inspiration blog. EVERYONE who enters will receive $1 to FromTheHeartStamps.com. Use it as a discount, or save them up to earn a free stamp! Faith will have a new sketch for you next week. Linky will close on Sunday at 10PM EST. Join us on Facebook and “Like” our page to see sneak peeks of the next sketch.
I colored the image with Copic Markers: 110, W7, W5, W3, G24, G21, E00, E02, BG49, BG45, T4, T2, BG75, BG72, R37, R35, R32.
I embellished the card with paper embroidery, a piece of vintage lace and some metallic nailheads. My Mind's Eye's Unforgettable collection.
I paired the images with some WeRMemoryKeepers papers from the Sunsplashed collection. I colored the images with Copic Markers: E55, E37, YR68, YR04, Y38, YG25, YG17, R39, R37, R35, BG10. A few sparkly stickers are the only embellishment other than some faux stitching and distressing.
I stamped the image and then frame it with a Spellbinders Labels 2 Die. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.
Image is colored with Copic Markers: E44, E43, E42, YR26, Y38, R56, R59, YG93. I used papers from Simple Stories' Documented Collection, a bit of Linen Thread and some birch bark rolls my kids picked up in our yard.
