Draw Me A Daydream Flashback Friday!

Happy Friday!  It's Flashback Friday for McMahon Five Designs and I have two cards for you featuring images from the Draw Me A Daydream line's Glad Grad set.

For ease of use, I used the pre-colored image since I really like the black gown.  For the background I used red cardstock and then stamped a Stampers Anonymous image that talks about Dream, Discover and Destiny around for a random patterned paper effect.

I fussy cut the image and then *stood* it on the sentiment that I matted in black.

For my second card I used the same image and sentiment.  I popped this one over a Cheery Lyn Designs die and then added a border to top and bottom of the card with Stampers Anonymous' J4-1539.  I love hand stitching, but the zigzag detailing of this image is perfect!

I placed some washi tape on white cardstock and then cut it to create the banners which I stapled to the card.

Be sure you pop by the McMahon Five Designs blog today to see all of the other inspiration.

Penny is popped up on foam tape...and there are bits of some Cheery Lynn dies to complete my card.

Today I'm sharing our adorable new baby stamps!  GG0185 Sleepy Time Baby is colored with Copic Markers and then is masked, cut *outside of the box* and then distressed with Distress Ink.   I stamped the DD0202 Congratulations 2 stamp with Stazon ink on washi tape and tied it onto the card with seam binding.

Hint:  I layered the washi tape on white cardstock so my sentiment would *pop*.  The same washi tape borders the top and bottom of my card on the pink cardstock.  Designer papers are from My Mind's Eye's Collectable Memorable collection.

Thank you for hopping with Prickley Pear Rubber stamps today!  Come back for two more days of fun and chances to win some of the new collection!

Inky Antics HoneyPOP Release!

It was my day on the Inky Antics blog yesterday...here is the post in Jackie's words:

If you've been a fan of stamps from Inky artist Tammy DeYoung, you'll love the new HoneyPOP sets she created for this release! You may already have noticed the sweet lovebirds card on our main Inky website, which was made using the aptly-named 11219LC Lovebirds HoneyPOP Clear Set:

I'm not sure which I like better, the outside or this great inside with the pop-out honeycomb heart:
One thing I can tell you is this latest HoneyPOP collection ranks as one of my all-time favorites. I just melted when I saw this meow-valous card made with 11215MC Fishing Tiger HoneyPOP Clear Set:
I think the inside is absolutely fin-tastic:
Okay, I'll stop with the puns for now. ;-) Instead, let's concentrate on the good stuff...like this charming card created using 11216MC Kite Buddies HoneyPOP Clear Set:
 Check out the cheery inside:
Of course, as you know, you're not required to use honeycomb paper on the inside (although it sure is fun!). All of these stamp sets work perfectly for standard cards, too. Just make the card fronts, and you're done.
Want even more inspiration for these sets? Michelle Pearson, who designed all of the wonderful cards shown above, also made a second version of each in standard card style:
Totally adorable, don't you think? There are three additional new sets, which are just as cute as these. You can find them all by visiting the What's New page on our main site and either downloading a PDF file of the catalog or clicking the "Go" tab to browse all the Spring '14 stamps.
Which ones will YOU be adding to your shopping list, Inky friends?

Prickley Pear Inspiration ~ Four Cards!

The weekend is almost here and we can't wait!  We'll be hopping for Prickley Pear and sharing a ton of new images for our Spring CHA release!

I will share a few bits of eye candy for you today to tide you over....enjoy!

My first card is a valentine GG0081 Flourished Dancers, GG0127 Ruffle Heart  I die cut some hearts and then outlined them with a white gel pen.  Fussy cut around a few fun valentine images and then stamped my sentiment on a piece of acetate with Stazon ink...the acetate is attached to a glittery gold panel.

This is another fun winter card using GG0179 Jingle BellsGG0184 Snowman With Lantern, D038 Snowflake Pendant die.  Papers are from Authentique's Journey Bundle.  I added some washi tape and candi dots and created a fun pocket by slicing along the embossed imprint with an craft knife.  The embossing folder is from Crafts Too.

JJ0068 Vintage Angel - Here is a hint for you if you are not in to angels.  Don't ink up her wings or cut them off as I did here and you will have an image you can use for spring or any time!

And finally, here is one last glitter card featuring the Poinsettia stamp set and die: CLR031A Poinsettia 2 Holiday Clear Set, D031 Poinsettia Die

Look forward to seeing you soon as we showcase the NEW SPRING IMAGES!

Prickley Pear Winter Card Trio!

Today I have three more winter creations for Prickley Pear!

I stamped DD0041 Winter's Butterfly with Stazon ink on some swirly pearlized coated cardstock and then cut it out with the D033 Flourished Oval Die.  I traced the edge of my die with Glossy Accents and then covered the glue with Diamond Dust.

I framed my sentiment panel with flowers from CLR031A Poinsettia 2 Holiday Clear Set and D031 Poinsettia Leaf Die.

The leaf dies are from Cheery Lynn and the snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches.  The embossing folder is a new favorite Crafts Too Snowflake Banner.

Check out this adorable card! DD0185 Top Hat and Bird is colored with Copic markers:  B41, B45, RV29, RV23, 110, W7, W5.  I fussy cut the image and popped it up on foam over the new D038 Snowflake Pendant Die.

I layered the snowflake over the GG0180 Frosty The Snowman image.

Other dies are from Cheery Lynn.  Other embellishments include Washi Tape and Candi Dots!
Love the vintage feel of this card! I stamped GG0179 Jingle Bells and then distressed the cardstock with Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.   I stamped HH0147 Mistletoe and then colored it with Copic Markers, fussy cut it and then mounted it with foam tape.

I added Viva D├ęcor Pearl Paint dots to my mistletoe berries and a few pieces of Candi Dots for my embellishment.

The sentiment is called FF0087 Peaceful Season.

I colored the image with Copic Markers:  E47, E43, E42, BG10, YG17, YR16, R29.

Papers are from Authentique's Glistening collection.  Seam binding is my only embellishment other than the white flocking on the white portions of the snowman's hat.

Lovely As A Rose...

I have been busy the last few months working on CHA samples and catalog samples for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and Inky Antics.  Today I will share a peek of some of the Inky Antics cards that have crossed my desk and then the country!

This first card combines images from the 11108MC Rose HoneyPOP set and a sentiment from Stampers Anonymous G3-1051 Once Upon A Time.  In Inky Antics' tradition, these cards are colored with Prismacolor pencils and are blended with Gamsol.  I used the Couture Creations' Exotic embossing folder .

Here is a second take adding the rose bud from the set and a twine bow.
And here is the inside of the card featuring the HoneyPOP element.

And finally, here is a pile of Inky Antics goodness before it headed off to stock the booth!

My Deerest Deer Valentine

It's flashback day on the McMahon Five Designs blog today, so be sure to stop over and see all of the fabulous sets being featured!  Today I'm revisiting this adorable set from Studio 313 called My Deerest Deer.

I used paper piecing to color part of my image.  I accented the rest of the image with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter pens.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye's Lost and Found Union Square collection.

Snow Day!

Well...we are on *snow day* #4 of 2014 already!  There are 6 - 10 inches of the fluffy stuff falling today...so what better to do then make snow cards?!  I'm thinking oatmeal cookies might be in the schedule for later...just sayin!

These images are all from Fred She Said Digital Designs.  The snowflakes are from the Snowflake Medallion set which is a FREEBIE! and the frame is from the Spring Flowers and Paper Pricking Frame set.  I did not prick, I simply accented all of my images with Copic BG11.

My only embellishment on this card is some hand embroidery with 2 strands of white and on strand of pearlescent effects floss for some sparkle!

And here is another take adding a piece of metallic corrugated cardboard and some Candi Dots!
