Enjoy the Little Things!

Ooh, and who doesn't love flowers?  Today's card for The Rubber Cafe uses the cameo stamp from this month's Good Times To Follow Creative Cafe Kit in yet another alternative way!  This time I used it to frame my beautiful rose!   The rose is colored with Copic Markers and is popped up on foam tape.

I scattered punched circles and enamel dots around on this card for a bit of fun!

A Vintage Hello

I have a fun vintage card for you today for The Rubber Cafe, featuring this month's Good Times To Follow Creative Cafe Kit.

I used the Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug to create the stitching detailing on the main panel of the card and then used a white gel pen to sew my card together.    I stamped the dress form image onto the designer paper with Onyx Black Versafine Ink.  I stamped the form portion again onto some of the designer paper and then popped it up on foam tape and added some of the enamel dots from the kit to the center.

The scalloped detailing down the edge is a bit of the pink scalloped paper that I cut out and then flipped over to the reverse side.  I punched little circles from the coordinating papers and tucked them in for an additional faux scalloped detail.

Lovely Wedding Cards

I have been working on some wedding cards as wedding season is coming right up!  This one uses a Magenta stamp along with the Baby Wipe Technique.  The punch is from Martha Stewart, a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a scrap of lace finishes off this card.
In a more rustic style, this card features DCWV Printed Cardboard along with a bit of DCWV Printed Burlap.  The hearts are cut from some designer paper.  A bit of May Arts twine and lace and some Chips Candi Dots finish off this card.

For Baby!

I always seem to run low in the baby card category....so it was time to make a few.  This adorable dress is a fun one to color.  I did it up in blues this time and then found a little scrap in my bin that went nicely!

This is an old SU! image, I believe...colored it up and found another pretty scrap to make a simple baby card.  Both can per personalized or have a sentiment added as the need arises.

Happy Friday!

Leavin' A Bit More Sparkle...

....mmmm, yeah.  I saw this month's stamp set with the Good Times to Follow Kit and instantly saw a shaker window with the cameo stamp included in the Vintage Findings set!  There was no glitter or acetate in this month's kit, but I know a good place to get you some!!

I stamped the cameo on the Sugar Wafer cardstock and the cut out the center of the image leaving a narrow black border around the edge.  I then attached a scrap of acetate to the back of the frame with Scor-Tape.  Next I stamped the chandelier on the light pink cardstock oval that I had trimmed down to size.  Next I framed the back of the window with foam tape and added a little bit of Diamond Clear Cool Highlight You're So Fine Glitter.  I could have added a little less, but glitter is good, right?

I hand stitched the border of my designer paper before layering it on a coordinating piece of designer paper.  A pretty bow on the card and then attached my shaker box with Scor-tape as well.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card as shown.  I love the enamel dots for a few pops of fun.

Just One More...

...color scheme to play with.  I am off on a new project, but I thought I would share these as it is always intriguing to me how changing a few colors change the whole feel of the card.
This is the same Fred, She Said butterfly (Flutterbys for your Flowers) doodled in two different ways and colored similarily.
Happy Wednesday!

Once I Get Started....

...it's so hard to stop!!!  I was working on the Doodle Stamps and then I saw this digital image from Fred She Said Digital Designs, and thought, why not?  The style of image is similar, so I doodled it up too!!

Image is colored with 3 values of color with Copic markers.  The sentiment is an oldie but goodie from Stampendous,  I doodled a bit around the blue panel to coordinate with my image.

The sequins?  My daughter pulled off of some skirt or other....I find them laying around the house and what to do but save them for a card! ....yep, I'm *that* stamper!!    Have a happy week!!

Doodle Stamps!

Today I am sharing some cards I made with some new Doodle Stamps by Leane Creatief BV that I picked up recently at The Stamp Shoppe.  I was there to teach a Zentangle-inspired workshop, and just had to give these new doodle stamps a go.  You can, of course, just stamp and color the images as usual, but I decided to give them a go with the doodling and color!  I used three tonal values of each color for a great pop of color.
Oh, and I had to do the butterfly twice just because it was so stinkin' fun!
There are several designs of these stamps in the shop, but I chose this simple thanks for my second image.  I kept the colors similar, but just love how these turned out!

What do you think?  Have you seen these before?

Graphic Flower Three Ways

You may have see my GG0209 Graphic Flower card a few weeks ago.  This image is so fun to play with.  I was stamping with Heidi the other day and she colored her flower in this style with Copic markers, so I decided it was CASE-worthy!

You saw this card the other day...but I improved on it a bit by glittering the hearts and tangling on the ladybug from the D011 Dragonfly die.  How stinking cute did that turn out?!

This card uses Heidi's color combination.  My challenge to you....sit down and take one stamp and create 3 or more cards that look totally different!  So fun!

Out of The Box Creations

I have a few cards to share with you today from the latest Prickley Pear release.  This card features HH0175 Pond of Ducklings and CLR033C Flourished Oval Sentiments set.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then used the Out Of The Box Technique to cut away much of the white space around the image so more of the embossed background could show.

I used basically the same layout and technique on this card, but changing the image and the papers up gives it a totally different feel.  This card features the HH0176 Singing Bluebirds and DD0226 A Little Bird Stacked image.

Hope you had a great week!

Terrifically Turquoise Card Duo!

I have been on a fussy cutting spree lately...and what was closest at hand was my Fred She Said bin with lots of bits and bobs from prior projects.  A whole sheet of these fabulous dragonflies from the
Dragonfly Flower Doodledallion set to color up and cut out!  The paper is also a digital from the Blue Blossoms kit.   I used paper embroidery to add some interest.  The pup is from the Rosey with a Flower colored set.
This card uses another dragonfly along with a rose from the Diamond Rose set.

I hope you had a happy week and have a great weekend!

Leave a Little Sparkle!

Oooh!  Have you not just LOVED all of the fun cards coming out of this month's Good Times To Follow Kit?!

I used a bit of hand stitching to add a little more themed detailing to my card.  I cut out elements from the paper pad to layer across the bottom before sewing them down with contrasting thread.

I colored the banner with Copic markers before fussy cutting it.  I wrapped the tails around to the back of the card.

I stamped the image on acetate and originally glittered the back with the Gold and Silver Medal You're So Fine Glitters, Scrap Happy Glue and Detailer Kit.  I must have had a bit of a heavy hand with the glue because I could see it when I was finished.  True to my don't toss anything style, I added a touch of glitter to the top of the acetate to create a fun dimensional and glittery dress form which I then popped up on foam tape.

I created a frame for my sentiment with Scor-Tape and glitter.

Thank You Very, Very Much!

Oh, my...not sure how it happens sometimes, but there was a bit of an unplanned blog break there for a bit!  Sometimes life has a way of piling up and then I have to play catch-up for a bit!!

Today's card is a clean and simple one using some fun Fred, She Said Digital Images.  The daisies are pre-colored versions from her Cardinal and Daisies set.  The dragonfly is one from the Dragonfly Flower Doodledallion set that I colored with Copic Markers.  I enjoy cutting, so I had myself a little fussy-cutting fest with these images!  I used a pre-cut frame from The Paper Cut and did a bit of penwork with a Signo white gel pen.
