CropStop Meets Becky Fleck!

I flipped the sketch on it's side and used some beautiful My Mind's Eye Lost And Found Glitter Accented papers for my card elements.

The stamped image is Prickely Pear Rubber Stamp's Birthday Vertical stamp...just love the font!

CropStop products I used on my card include Candi and Candi Fix, Scotch ATG which is a favorite adhesive of mine and Memento Ink.

Milton With Daisy!

Today's project for iCopic is a sweet little project featuring Wild Rose Studio's Milton With Daisy image.

I colored my image with the following Copic markers: E59, E57, E55, E53, E51, Y38, T35, Y32, YG17, YG03, R85, R83, R81. To add texture to Milton I used the Colorless Blender solution and a piece of terry cloth.

For my little box, I used one sheet of Chocolate Truffle cardstock. I added black lines and measurements to each photo to guide you along. This is based on Beate's One Sheet Box Tutorial on SCS.

Finally I topped my bag with a bunch of sweet girly goodness. I started with a 4.5 inch circle, folded in half and faux stitched with a white signo gel pen. I added some glittered punched pieces, and layered various dies and gems.

Milton is fussy cut and is layered on some designer paper from the store...by Fizzy Moon.
A finishing touch is a snippet of Cotton Candy Divine Twine tied in a bow!

Love Is In The Air - One Crazy Stamper February Challenge

This month the challenge at One Crazy Stamper is Love Is In The Air! I chose to go a little less lovey-dovey with my card and made a cute card that you could give to a little valentine in your life!

This image is called Jane Skating and is by Tina Wenke/Stampavie. I colored her with Copic Markers: E59, E57, E55, B23, B21, BG000, W5, W3, E21, E02, E00, R85, R83, R81.

I matched it up with Prima's Jack and Jill Collection and a Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch.

Clearly Beautiful ~ You Make Me Smile!

This card for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps features the Clearly Beautiful Butterflies set and coordinating Butterfly Die. Another fun thing to note is that there is another stamp set that coordinates with the die....Clearly Beautiful Butterflies 2! I don't know about you...but I like to have lots of options and this is a fabulous butterfly collection! You will have every season and and a variety of sentiments at your disposal!

I used one of the coordinating images to stamp my background panel tone on tone. I stamped the sentiment from one of the sets onto a Prickley Pear Collage ATC Transparency with Stazon ink.
The ATC Transparencies come 8 to a sheet. Check out the wide variety available in the store!

I die cut a piece of glossy cardstock that I had done the Polished Stone Technique on. Because the stamps are clear, it is easy to stamp your image, this makes for a quick and easy card!

I embellished my card with some washi tape, pearls and flowers!

It's Digital Tuesday and the challenge this week is a color challenge: Black, Red and White!

I went with a beautiful red rose from Fred, She Said Digital Designs. I fussy cut the pre-colored Corner Rose image and placed it on a punched panel. This beauty comes pre-colored in SEVEN colors...it's a very versatile set!

The punch is a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set, embellished with a spellbinders die cut from the Twisted Metal set. The pearls are from Prima as is the black lace.

Love is an unknown unmounted stamp and the metal embossed strip may be by Magenta.

I have some more Whimsy for you today for One Crazy Stamper. I got all excited the other night and made this card before I realized that we had a sketch for our Crazy Whimsical Blog Hop! No matter...I will share my first creation today!
I used May Arts ribbon, a touch of piercing and some Candi to embellish my card.
I colored the Spring Zebra image with the following Copic Markers: W7, W5, W3, E44, E43, E41, YG17, YG03, B45, B41, Y38, R85, R83, R81.

I just love this Just My Type set from The Rubber Cafe. I decided to go with a blue typewriter this time...and love this color combo!

This set comes with a variety of sentiments...so you can customize your message to your recipient!

I added a wintery touch to the heart by adding a snowflake and embellishing it with some Candi!

I raided my scrap drawer to find coordinating papers for this sketch. there are Pearlized Textured and Glittered Cardstocks as well as some various Designer Papers on this project.

Our Craft Lounge - Heart Felt Challenge

This week's Our Craft Lounge Challenge is a Heart Felt one! Check out the details on the OCL blog!

For my fabric, I upcycled! That's just so much more fun to say than recycled! The heart is the silky fabric lining of a man's tie! We bought a gaudy orange tie at Good Will to cut up and shred for a pirate's belt for a school project. The lining was this fabby fabric, and I loved the color scheme, so though my hubby rolled his eyes at me, I tossed it on my stamping desk...not knowing what I would do with it....but it was just pretty!

I used a heart punch in the center of a Spellbinders' Fleur De Lis Square Die. I used the heart to frame my tiny fabric scrap! Found some perfectly matchy-matchy papers in my scrap drawer...and some more perfectly fun ribbons in my ribbon scraps.

I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Say It With Flowers set. I love the font of this set!

I knew I had the perfect piece of designer paper in my stash....I simply added a bit of color to m'lady with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Boys, Birthdays and Baseball!

Howdy! I have a simple birthday card for iCopic for a little baseball buff! I went with a sweet LaLa Land image called Baseball Luca. If you are a LaLa Land buff...there are 70 images available in the store and this one is ON SALE!!

I colored my little man with the following Copic Markers: E44, E43, E42, E59, E57, E55, E37, E35, E21, E02, E00, B99, B97, B95, R89, R59, R29, 0 Colorless Blender. For his hat I was going for a sueded cotton like some of the nicer hats are...so after shading I stippled it with my colorless blender to add the suede texture.

Just a simple card to wish a little boy a happy birthday!

A New Beginning!

It's Digital Tuesday...and this week our challenge is New Beginnings! My mind turned to spring...my favorite season of the year. I love seeing all of the new life springing forth from what appears to be barron and dead.

This image is an older PSX image that is colored with colored pencils. I framed my image *outside the box* and cut around parts of the image so that it would fit on my punched panel. The punched panel is a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set which I embellished with some yellow gems.

The sentiment is a digital sentiment from Designed2Delight's Beautiful Life set.

Chillin' With My Friends ~ Shaker Card Tutorial

Today I'm sharing a tutorial on Shaker Cards for One Crazy Stamper.

For my card I used Chillin' With My Friends stamp set from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

Scor-Tape, Copic Markers, Glitter.

My tip: Recycle acetate from your packaging for your windows!

Tip #2: Angling the tape in the corners helps reduce the amount of glitter used and helps seal your seams so you don't sprinkle glitter when you shake your card!

I attach my taped layer over my image panel/glitter on a craft mat to avoid things sticking where they should not stick!

Then simply finish your card as you wish! I embellished my card with a Martha Stewart Icelandic Snowflake Punch.

With Special Thoughts of You~

I have a clean and simple card for The Rubber Cafe today, perfect for letting someone know that you care.

I used the Large Poinsettia in a different way....I colored it purple and to me it's a Clematis for this card! I stamped it with tone-on-tone ink for my background paper and then accented my blower petals with Copic Marker BV000. It fades away to almost nothing...but I like the subtle shaded look.

Next I used One and Only Tape in two ways on this card....first to tape down my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis border and next to add a touch of You're So Fine Glitter in Purple Rocks along the top of my card. I added some Candi from the Lavender and Lace collection to my die cut with Candi Fix.

I added a touch of glitter to the Special Thoughts Outline stamp with a lavender copic spica glitter pen. I stamped the Small Poinsettia and colored it with the following Copic Markers: BV04, BV02, YG95, YG93, Y38, Y35. I fussy cut my image and used the One and Only Tape to adhere it to my card.
My final embellishment is a Martha Stewart butterfly punch embellished with some gems.

Prickley Pear Valentine Release!

Today I'm sharing some of the new Valentine Release cards. We have had some family responsibilities these days....so I did not make the blog hop with these....but stamping is my therapy and I had fun working with these images this week!

My first card features the Steampunk Drifter image. I colored the image with the following Copic markers: W7, W5, W3, W1, E49, E47, E44, R85, R83, R81, RV93.

I framed my image with a simple pierced border. The designer paper is from BoBunny's Enchanted Collection. I colored some of the flourishes with Copics to coordinate with my image.

My second card features the adorable Duck in Tub image.

I colored the image with the following Copic Markers: W7, W5, W3, E49, E47, E44, YG67, YG17, B00, YR16, Y38, Y35, Y32.

I decided to go with the Cracked Glass Technique on this image for a more vintage feel.
I colored my image, then covered the image with Versamark ink and some Ultrathick Embossing Enamel and heated the image. I repeated this process 5-6 times and then placed my image in the freezer between two bags of tomatoes. This keeps the image from curling up too much when it freezes. After about five minutes I took the image out and carefully cracked it for the cracked glass effect. I did not add additional ink to my cracks...I didn't want too much of a grunge feel since I was making this into a baby card.

The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of The Party Collection. The letters are American Crafts stickers that I colored with my Copics and embellished with coordinating gems.

Vintage/Shabby Chic CropStop Challenge

Time for a new CropStop Challenge! This week's challenge is Vintage/Shabby Chic. I decided to make a spring wedding card!

I used some coated ivory papers which shows the beautiful detail of the Spellbinder/Heartfelt Creations Decorative Lace Border Die. I embellished my die with Candi.

The iris is from Heartfelt Creations Dutch Iris Medley Set and is colored with Copic Markers.
I fussy cut the image and attached it with glue dots.

Congratulations is by Stampendous and is stamped in Stazon ink and is embellished with Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterfly Punch.

Peony Love!

Last Tuesday's Digital Tuesday Challenge was to Punch It! I was all on the ball and combined my card with SCS's Clean And Simple Challenge, which is to use Die Cuts. Well...excepting I made my card with a McMahon Five Designs image that wasn't going to be released until this week! Epic Fail!

I used the gorgeous digital image from McMahon Five Designs called Peony Love. I colored my image with five Copic Markers: E42, YG93, BG0000, R21, R20. I fussy cut the image and added some Art Institute Glitter 162. Juicy Fruit to the heart.

My background embossing is a SU! Sizzix die. The punch is a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set. The butterfly punches are also a Martha Stewart 3 in 1 butterfly punch.

I still love my card...is that peony gorgeous or what?!

Spring Fever!

Valentine Fireworks!

I'm sharing a fun little card for iCopic today. I colored up Blush Bonnie from The Greeting Farm.
Since the area of her clothing is so small...I used the 0 Colorless Blender to add a fabric-like texture. Her dress and socks are all one color... RV17.
I stamped my sentiment from SP&Co's Candy Hearts set and then ran my card through the Xyron machine and covered the front of it with some You're So Fine glitter.

The Spellbinders die has been sprayed liberally with Fireworks in Lilac Posies for some added glimmer.

I embellished my Candi embellishments and her hairpiece with some tiny Stampendous heart stickers.

Bonnie herself is fussy cut and popped up on foam tape for added dimension.

Designed2Delight Card Duo for Him and Her!

I have two cards for you today featuring images from Designed2Delight. The first is using the image Catch of the Day. I colored my image with Copic Markers. For my background I used up some paper scraps from BasicGrey's Archaic collection. I don't throw my scraps away...and it always tickles me when I can make a fun card using bits and pieces! You could easily make a whole set of these, and each would be original depending on the scraps and your mosaic layout!

Birthday sentiment is by A Muse.

My second card is for a *her*....I used Ladybug Balancing Act image which I colored with Copic markers. I paired it up with My Mind's Eye's Lime Twist collection and an A Muse birthday sentiment.

I used Candi to embellish both of my cards. It's a good thing Candi is calorie-free....as it sure seems to make it onto a LOT of my cards lately!

Nerd At Heart!

Time for a new challenge on the Our Craft Lounge blog...and this week our challenge was to use NUMBERS on our cards! I went with Our Craft Lounge set Love Potion...and Love Potion #9!

I colored my image to match some designer paper scraps I had handy...I wanted a different twist from the usual red and pink, so I went with pink and orange! Copics: YR09, YR04, BG10, RV69, RV66, RV63.

That Nerd at Heart sentiment just makes me grin...guess that makes me one, eh?!

CropStop Challenge ~ Quotations

This week's challenge for CropStop is to use quotations in our creations!

I have a COUPON CODE for my blog readers: CTMP-2 saves you 10% on ANY sized order! Enjoy!

I used a Picasso quote by Inkadinkadoo and framed it with the fabulous Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents die. I cut the die out of some coated pearlescent cardstock for extra texture and shine.

I wanted an *arty* background for my quote, so I used the polished stone technique with. It is super-easy to do...use Ranger alcohol inks or Copics Various Ink Refills and a touch of Tim Holtz Adirondack Silver Mixatives. Apply the inks to white glossy cardstock with the Ranger Alcohol Ink Applicator and felt. Use Ranger's Alcohol Blending Solution to achieve your desired effect.

I embellished my quote with a rosette which you can create with a Gluber as your base. I scalloped some blanket binding and created my fluffy flower. A vintage button and some Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches finish my card perfectly.

More Winter Wishes!

I had Our Craft Lounge set Winter Wishes on my desk yet....so I decided to make one more winter card with it using the OCL color challenge this week.

This time I added some Prima Pearls that have a silver tint rather than clear. I paired it up with Candi and a SU! embossing folder and bird punch.

I left the card with no sentiment....so it can be used for anything!

We are finally supposed to get SNOW in Wisconsin tomorrow! It's been such a warm/dry winter, and yesterday's near 50* has given me some major spring fever!

Best Friends

Another iCopic post...it's Tips and Tricks Tuesday and I have two little tricks for you today.

Trick #1 - I'm a *flicker* sort of girl! For the hair on my little ladies today I started by flicking the darkest colors, then the medium colors and then just did a slight blend for their hair. I wanted the textured look for their lucious locks!

Trick #2 - fussy cutting is quick and easy and I find myself doing it on many of my images. To get a smooth line when cutting, turn your paper, not your scissors. I take lots of tiny straight cuts on the more detailed areas of the image. Pop your image up on foam and it adds great dimension to your project!

iCopic Blue Challenge - Juliet in the Nasturtiums

We have had such an unseasonably warm winter this year....so I decided to think spring! Juliet in the Nasturtiums is from Stampavie's Sara Kay collection. I colored her with the following Copic Markers:

B97, B95, B45, B21, YG17, YG03, G20, YR24, Y21, E44, E43, E35, E02, E00, 0

For Juliet's top I highlighted it with the B21 marker and then blended it a bit with the 0 Colorless Blender.

I framed my image with Spellbinder's Labels Twenty die , a few prima flowers and Candi centers.
The border punch is by Martha Stewart.

Ellie's Warm Winter Wishes

I just had to color up Ellie Loves to Knit from Your Next Stamp again! You can find Ellie and lots of her pals at One Crazy Stamper.

I colored her up with Copic Markers and then cut her out leaving a small narrow border. I matched her to the KaiserCraft collection called Bubblegum Hills. This collection is fun because it has fun die cut borders such as the one on the bottom of this card.

My embellishment on this card is a snowflake rosette made with Honeycomb paper from Inky Antics. Lora has some on the way....so be sure to keep your eye peeled! This stuff is fun, both in it's traditional use on HoneyPop cards and as fun borders and rosettes such as this!

Recipe for Friendship!

Busy days here working on Inky Antics' deadlines...so thought I would share a previous Inky Antics project.

This is an altered recipe box with a coordinating Friendship Recipe.

Inside I decorated the lid with a vintage cookie cutter. This is an oversized box, so there is room for the cutter to stay in if desired.

Today's card is my first post as a design team member for Our Craft Lounge! I've had the opportunity to be a guest designer from September - December, and am excited to share more Our Craft Lounge creations with you this year!
We saw a bit of snow over the weekend...though not near enough for a snowman. This cool feller is called Mr. Frosty and he comes with the You're Cool sentiment.

I colored my image with Copic Markers: W7, W5, E44, B97, B95, BG10, YR16. I added some pearlescent papers for my frame and Martha Stewart snowflake punches. The finishing touches would be Candi, also pearlescent, of course!!

I have a clean and simple card for you today using Rubber Cafe products. I've been waiting on using the Warren and Frosty image until we had snow here in Wisconsin...and it sounds like we might get a whopping 3 inches tonight! I haven't minded a snowless winter as far as the roads go...but my kids are itching for some snow to romp around in!

I colored my image with Copic Markers and framed it with a simple pierced border. I kept the embellishments simple and monochromatic with a touch of Candi to finish them off.

Hope your weekend was everything you had hoped. It's been a quiet one for us...hubby has been down and out with a cold and I've been busy working on new samples for Inky Antics' booth for 2012!

Today I'm sharing a few winter cards featuring some other Inky Antics' stamps and some BasicGrey designer papers. My first card features images from Penguin Pals Clear set and is colored with prismacolors and gamsol.

My second card features the Candy Cane Penguin image as well as the Sweet Christmas Wishes sentiment. Christmas is past, but you can switch out the sentiment for a fun winter card!

Falling Snow!

I have a vintage winter card for you today!
I was unable to pitch the vintage music scraps after my Rubber Cafe project last Sunday....and so I sliced them up into strips and made a collage card with them. I had used Scrap Happy Glue to stamp my Leaf Swirls stamp and then glittered it with You're So Fine Silver Glitter.

I added some ricrac and mini brads along with some Sizzix dies, Martha Stewart punches and Candi to embellish my card.

The sentiment is the title of the song I used. The snowflakes on this card are ivory in keeping with the vintage touches.

Quick Gift-Card Card!

Today I have a quick gift-card card to share with you for iCopic. I used stamps from SP & Co and created a quick pocket on the front of my card that will hold a gift card.

Santa is colored with Copic Markers and has flocking on his hat and beard. The background is stamped, colored with a white color pencil and then erased for a soft muted look.

Pyramid Gift Box ~ Rubber Cafe Style!

This week's challenge at The Rubber Cafe is to make treat/gift boxes. I have also gone and gotten myself another addictive hobby....Pinterest! I pinned this Pyramid Gift Box and just had to give it a go Rubber Cafe style!

For this project I used a cardboard base 3x3 inches and four triangles that have a 3 inch short side. You can alter the height of your triangles as you wish, just make sure the long sides are equal in length. I used two sheets of vintage sheet music, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue, One and Only Tape, silver You're So Fine Glitter and Leaf Swirls.

I stamped with glue onto my sheet music and covered with the glitter. Let dry.

Next Tape the triangle bases to the square base and fold corners together. If all fits, use tape or glue to adhere your sheet music.

For this photo, I placed a battery-operated votive and a tiny candle wreath inside...you could leave one side off and make this a cute lantern as well!

Then pop a hole in each of the triangle peaks and thread some ribbon through. I heated the tails of my ribbon with a heat gun to give it a vintage feel. I also added some extra tails and melted those as well.

Here is a close-up of the glitter stamping.

I chose to use the new pre-colored Hat Tippin' Snowman image for my winter tag garland. I used it to spruce up a loaf of Oat Bran Wheat Bread I made for my son's teacher. I used various sized circle punches on my wallet sized images. Some of the snowmen are glittered. Each link in my garland is double-sided, so there is no back if they get flipped around.

Copic Various Ink ~ Polished Stone Technique!

Today I'm sharing some quick holiday cards for iCopic that feature some glittered images from a designer paper pack and combining it with the Polished Stone technique for some quick and easy holiday cards!

Be sure to check out the large variety of designer paper packs in the store....so many to choose from!
For this technique I used a Various Ink Refill (E44) as well as the Copic Colorless Blender (0) solution.

I combined it with some Adirondack Gold Mixatives and applied it to some matte coated photo paper with the ink blending tool and felt. You will not want to use the foam for this technique.
I use photo paper because I like how the alcohol breaks up the ink when it reacts leaving hard marble-like patterns. Just keep puttering with it until you have the look you are going for. The more you putter, the smaller the veining will become and you will end up with a panel similar to mine.

I hope you are inspired to use your Copic Various Inks in this way to create some fabulous polished stone accents for your creations!

I'm sharing a card featuring an image from Fred She Said Designs from the Christmas Birds Series pre-colored image and the Paper Pricking Frame.

This time I glittered the frame using the pricking pattern as my guide. I embellished my frame with candi and then popped it up on foam tape for some added dimension.

I sanded some snowflake embossing to make a fun nature-like background.

I have one more card for you today....this time for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!

This card features the Clearly Beautiful Oraments 2 set. I stamped the ornament on acetate with Stazon ink. I ran the ornament through my Xyron machine to apply adhesive, burnished and then cut it out.

I created a window on the front of the card and the top panel. The ornament is actually mounted to the interior of the card. The mat around the embossed panel and the ornament window are also glittered.

I embossed the mat with a Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder and stamped it with Gift of the Season.

I applied a bow to the front of the card and a smaller irridescent floss bow to the interior to dress up my ornament.

Ready, Set, DUCK!

Tee, hee! Today's card for One Crazy Stamper just makes me grin! The image is called Ready, Set, DUCK! and is by Whimsy.

I colored my gal with the following Copic Markers: E47, E44, E02, E00 BG49, BG45, B00, R35, R32. I fussy cut her out leaving myself a *snowbank* at the bottom of the image.

For the background, I embossed my background panel with an Embossing Folder and then distressed it with some Tim Holtz Snowcap Acrylic Paint. For a funky frosty look I did the whole card...the mat too!

I added some glitter to the snow banks and snow balls. I added flocking to the coat cuffs and boots.

The icicles on the card are HoneyComb paper scraps that I stretched out and taped down.

Simple Seasons Greetings Cards!

This post for iCopic.com features some more mostly white cards...they are so refreshing to me this season!

This card features stamps from SP&Co. I embossed the snowflakes on the blue strip with white embossing powder. The focal snowflake was stamped in blue ink and then I added glitter with a metal tip, which when dry, allows a bit of the blue peek through, but gives it a fun icy feel. And you will see another favorite this year....baker's twine for just a touch of color.

This card uses a similar layout, but I switched out the image and color scheme for a totally different, yet fresh feel.

This week's challenge for The Rubber Cafe is to make some clean and simple holiday cards. I had my glitter out yet from the last project I did.....so I chose to go glitzy! Check out the challenge post for prize details!

My first card features the Deck the Halls stamp. I kept the design clean on all of my cards....I used a monochromatic color scheme except for my glittered image and sentiment.

Season's Greetings comes from the Ornamental Holiday set. I popped eacch sentiment up on foam tape on a panel that I edged with glitter.

My second card features Shooting Star Warren.

My third card features Having a Ball.

My final card features Warm and Cozy Warren.

All of my cards feature You're So Fine Glitter and Scrap Happy Glue.

Today's card features an Our Craft Lounge set called Vintage Valentine. I has some vintage images and some nice friendship verses as well.

I stamped the heart with black Stazon ink on acetate and then glittered the back with Art Institute's 8. French Kiss and 268. Pinky Smoothie Ultrifine glitters. I fussy cut my heart and mounted it over the friendship verse.

The doily panel is a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set, the flowers are Tim Holtz/Sizzix, the swirls are by Sizzix, the butterflies are Martha Stewart and the embossing folder is the Victorian from Cuttlebug.

Inky Antics Bazooples!

I couldn't resist sharing a card I made to go with the gift box from yesterday's post! I used the adorable Bazooples Decorated Zac image which is colored with Gamsol and Prismacolor Pencils.

I framed Zac with the Spellbinders Beaded Oval Die and embellished it with Candi and a few Martha Stewart Snowflakes.

Oranmental Holiday Rosette Wreath

I love using the pads for their intended purpose....to add fun embellishments to the insides of your cards...however I hate throwing away my Honey Comb scraps! I used the two shapes shown to create a fun icicle embellishment for my gift box as well as to make the rosette bow on the top!

The box is one that I'm recycling....it was a clear acrylic box which I covered with some festive designer papers and cardstock. I kept the box simple and only used the honeypop for embellishments.

CropStop Honey Pop Tips and Tricks!

Today's post for Cropstop features the fun HoneyComb Paper Pads and Inky Antics Clear Honey Pop stamp sets! I also have a special COUPON CODE for my blog readers! CTMP-2 will save my readers 10% on their entire CropsStop order!! ENJOY!

The intended purpose for the HoneyComb Paper Pads is to make a fun dimensional embellishment for the interior of your card, as shown below:

~Stamp your honeypop image, which in this case is the snowman, on the HoneyComb Paper Pad. When you stamp your image, line the arrow on the image up with the lines in the pad, so they run parallel. Then cut out your image as shown.

~Instead of scoring your card once down the center, you want to score twice, about 1/8 to 1/4 inches apart. This gives your card a spine so your honepop element will fit.

~To attach your honeycomb element, simply run a glue stick over each side and sandwich into the center of your card.

I have a cheery little card for you today! This card is completely digital! The image is Valentine Snowman from Designed2Delight and is colored with Copic markers and is accented with a bit of Art Institute Pearlescent Glitter.

The designer paper is digital paper that I printed out as a 3x5 inch photo. You can change the scale of the paper design by the size you print the image! Fun stuff!

Other touches on this card include baker's twine, Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and Candi.

Digital Tuesday - Lights!

Today's Digital Tuesday Challenge was mine....and it is to use lights on your project....think candles, lights, or in the case of this card...I was thinking of the blinding sunlight on the freshly fallen snow!

I went with two digital image from Fred, She Said; a pre-colored one from the Christmas Birds series and the Paper Pricking Frame, which I glittered with pearlescent glitter for even more white shine!

The background snow swirls are on some white coated paper, the snowflake, candi and embroidery floss are also all shiney! The frame is popped up on foam tape for some added depth.

Hi there! It's been a bit of a blog break here ....but I've been very busy with lots of projects that I will be posting this week! LOTS of inspiration to come!

Today's card trio features Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. They are all in the retro theme and feature the Glitter and Acetate technique. Glitter just seems to be the perfect touch on holiday cards...and for these cards I used some suede glitter that Debbie Fisher sent my way in a RAK. This is some fun stuff...love the velvety texture look it gives!

My first card features three images...

~It Came Without Ribbons which I stamped in black ink and popped up for some dimension.

~Ornament Bunch which I stamped with Stazon on acetate. I then applied glue and glitters to the back of the acetate. Once dry, I popped my acetate up with foam tape hidden behind the ornaments and snowflake. It is a floating acetate window, and the shadows it casts are fun!

~Ornaments ATC which I embossed with silver detail embossing powder.

My second card features the Retro Holiday Tag, which I stamped in Stazon ink on Acetate. I glittered the back and used it to frame the Retro Christmas Cat. I stamped the cat on the cardstock and then did up his hat in glitter and acetate as well. The sentiment is from the Clearly Beautiful Ornament 2 Set.

Last, but not least I used the same frame with a different color scheme and a different sentiment from the Clearly Beautiful Ornaments 2 set. I stamped Kitty in Balloon on acetate and glittered it up, popping it up on foam tape for a floating effect as well.

Tis the season...to don all of your fuzzy warm apparel!

This card is for iCopic, and I used this cute little fellow from SP & Co.

Samantha showed you one way to make fur...and I used a different method. I colored my pup with E59 and then applied some 0 Colorless Blender solution to a piece of terry cloth. Dab it on and you get some easy peasy fur!

I colored the hat with R89, R29, R27 and flocked it. Designer papers are glittered!!

HoneyPop Birthday!

Time for some Honey Pop cards from Inky Antics! I used the Cupcake Birdy Honey Pop Set for my card, and colored the image with PrismaColor Pencils and Gamsol.

Papers are by American Crafts, Spellbinders Labels 4 Dies and Imaginisce Flowers. I finished my flower off with a vintage button filled with a pink gem!

I added some silver nailheads to frame my honeypop scene inside my card.

If you just want a quick birthday card....here is a clean and simple one....I used the purple Marvy Scalloped Circle Punch to frame my image. I pierced a hole in each scallope for added interest.
Designer paper is by Making Memories.

Snowflakes!

Ok....so it's *that time of year* when if summer can't stay and the skies are gray it might as well SNOW!
...at least if everyone is safely tucked in their homes and there is a warm pot of soup and some relaxing to be done!

Today's card for iCopic features the Snowflakes set from Wild Rose Studio. I stamped these gorgeously detailed snowflakes with Color Box Chalk Ink and framed them with a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punch set. I added some touches of pearlescent glitter to the frame and the stamped snowflakes.

The designer paper is from Prima Marketing. You can check out all of the fabulous 6x6 designer paper pads in the iCopic store. There are a mere 74 6x6 pads...plus the other sizes! ...something for you to do safe from your spot in front of the fire!

Glittered Frame Winter Card

I had fun embellishing the Fred, She Said Paper Pricking Frame for my shaker card last week...and here I glittered it up a bit and framed the pre-colored Winter Emma and the Chickadee! I popped up the frame with foam tape for some added dimension!

I paired it with some glitter-embellished designer paper from my stash and some Martha Stewart snowflake punches and Candi!

It's time for a new Digital Tuesday Challenge...and today we're looking for a touch of GREEN!

I went with Designed2Delight's Christmas Snowman image and used green and white as my main card colors.

I created a little shaker box using the Holiday Circle Labels as my frame.

Finishing touches on my card include a Sizzix embossing folder, SU/Sizzix Snowflake Dies, Candi and green bakers twine.

I chose my colors from the sheet of Bo Bunnydesigner paper from the A Gift of Love collection. The Copic markers I used are pictured below:

I fussy cut my image an mounted it with foam tape. I used some Martha Stewart snowflake punches and embellished them with Candi.

Other items on this card are a metal embossed sticker strip and an edge punch.

Partridge in a Pear Tree

This card is for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and features the Clearly Beautiful Holly and Berries set and the First Day of Christmas image.

I used some gorgeous My Mind's Eye paper for the base of my card, love the glittered element. I colored the image with Copic Markers: E47, E44, E43, E42, YG63, YG61 and fussy cut it.

The sentiment is stamped and distressed with Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. My snowflakes are punches/dies on coated ivory papers.

The final embellishment is a strip of honeycomb paper which I attached to my card as a ruffle.

Rubber Cafe - Stocking

This week's challenge at the Rubber Cafe is *stocking.*

I decided to go simple vintage for my card. I grabbed a stocking template off of the internet and printed it out on some designer paper from My Mind's Eye.

I stamped the image with Pattern Royale and then cut it out. I ran the stocking through my Xyron machine and then applied You're So Fine Diamond Clear Glitter.

I also applied the glitter around the card panel and on the embossed stocking cuff. I used a piece of Candi to *hang* my stocking.

I used the sentiment from the Warm Wishes set.

Other card details: Clound 9 Designer paper, Prima Lace and Pearls, Martha Stewart snowflake punch.

Storytime Inspired Winter Card!

This card features Fred She Said digital images...Emma the Caroler, who is a pre-colored image and the Paper Pricking Frame which I fussy cut to form the frame of my shaker card box.

I decided she needed some real snow...and this turned out very adorable. I embellished my card with a few clear gems, Martha Stewart punched snowflakes, SU! photo corner punches and Cuttlebug's Textile embossing folder.

I love how the snowflake dots are mimicked in the designer paper...how fun is that?!

I added some Diamond Glaze to the ornaments for some added pop. The border is a snowflake border punch by Martha Stewart embellished with Candi! A touch of green/white baker's twine and a SU! snowflake die finish my card!

I stamp the image on ivory coated paper and embellished my card with snowflake punches, nail heads and Candi.

The corners of my card are a cutting/folding stencil...I'm guessing it might be by Lace'.

Reindeer Pair ~ Peaceful Season

Today's card is very clean and simple....seemed to fit this Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp perfectly!
The image is called Reindeer Pair and is colored with Copic Markers: E43, E42, E41, BG0000, BG10.
I accented the snowflakes with a Baby Blue Copic Spica Glitter Pen as well.

Peaceful Season is a sentiment in the new Clearly Beautiful Victorian Ornaments set. This card follows the Prickly Pear Sketch Challenge this month...I flipped things around a bit to fit my image to the sketch.

Designer paper is from Bo Bunny's Gift of Love collection and is paired with some dark grey metallic cardstock and sheer ribbon.

Today's CropStop Challenge was to make a thank you card or layout. I decided to go with the card.

I used the Sizzix Branches, Swirls and Ribbons embossing folder on kraft as my base. I embellished my card with a strip of glittered designer paper and some vintage lace.

I added some glittered flock to some Scor Tape to frame my paper panel. I punched snowflakes with various Martha Stewart punches on coated paper. The snowflakes are embellished with Candi and some twine.

I chose to go with images from the Autumn Garden set.

I couldn't resist some fussing cutting on this...the fence is colored and cut out and popped up on foam tape.

I colored and cut out the scarecrow and sunflowers and placed them behind the fence. The fence door opens to reveal the scene beyond!

I had to add a bird to the fence with a glue dot. Love that he is demensional and you can see his shadow on the card!

Finally, the card is colored with the Copic markers shown above.

Other items include misc ribbon and some vintage lace.

Today's card is for iCopic.com and is by Wild Rose Studio, called Pickle with Present. I combined the image with several glittered designer papers...of which there are MANY in the store!

I colored my image with the following Copic Markers: R29, R27, G07, YG17, YG07, W7, W5, W3, W1, W0, YR16, Y38. The present is accented with a Green Spica Glitter Pen.

Happy Tuesday! Today's Digital Tuesday Challenge is Sparkle and Shine.

I chose to go with a McMahon Five Design Vintage image called Happy Holiday Puppy.

I have some glitter accents on the blue designer paper as well as my snowflakes which are punched/die cut out of some coated ivory cardstock. My final shiny touch is the pearl accents on each snowflake.

I colored my image with Copic markers: R39, R37, E47, E44, YG95, YG93, E43, E42, B00.

Happy Monday! It's time for another Prickley Pear creation...and this one features three of their red rubber images.

I stamped the Retro Holiday Tag in Versamark ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut out the center to create the window for my mini shaker box!

I colored Ellie Small with the following Copic Markers: R39, R37, B97, B95, B93, B0000, E43, E42.

I stamped the verse Play and Make Good Cheer on the Cosmo Cricket Be Good Ornaments designer paper.

Snowflake embellishments are a mixture of punches and dies on various coated papers.

Holiday Gift Set ~The Rubber Cafe

Here I am with another card set for The Rubber Cafe...today's set is a boxed set of A2 cards. I followed the tutorial on SCS for the A2 Card Box.

My first card features the Winter Bird image which I colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut. I layered it on a Spellbineer's Beaded Circle and embellished it with some embossing folders and snowflake punches.

My second card features images from the Christmas Tidings set. I added a ribbon rosette, some gems and some glaze to the holly berries.

My third card features another image from the Christmas Tidings set. I added some You're So Fine Diamond Clear Glitter.

My fourth card features the Pine Wreath which I colored and fussy cut. I layered it onto Spellbinder's Labels Three.

And finally, here is the gift box with the cards/envelopes enclosed. I stamped the cardstock with the Pine Bough image which I inked with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

I went with a clean and simple card featuring images from the Christmas Poinsettia Lantern set.
I printed the script images and then I overprinted the lantern image. This gave me the beautifully pre-colored background and candle glow. I then fussy cut a lantern and applied it over the *scripted* lantern...this adds a touch of dimension to the card.

Finishing touches were photo corners embossed by the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder, some Martha Stewart Snowflake punches and gems/pearls.

Inky Antics Blog Hop ~ Holiday Card Pouch

I used Penguin's Pal HoneyPop Clear set, Ornament Birdy Honey Pop Clear Set and a peppermint candy stamp from the Candy Cane Reindeer Clear set to create this project, which you can find on this page: http://www.inkyantics.com/november2011hop.htm

I chose to make the Card Pouch that is found in the tutorial section of SplitcoastStampers.

Supplies/Cost:

1 sheet of 12x12 paper (minimal)
2 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper (minimal)
Scor Tape (minimal)
1 embossing folder (approx $5)
1 punch for the handle (or cut with a knife - FREE)
1 package of Candi ($3.99 gives you about 400 embellishments - or use a hole punch FREE)
4 white envelopes (minimal)
3 sheets of white cardstock (minimal)
1 length of ribbon (minimal)
1 bit of Honey Comb Pad for tree ($5.95 for a whole pad)
pearl glitter (minimal)
Nail Heads ($2.99)
1 edge punch (approx $15 ~ or use decorative scissors for less cost)

Total: $32.93 however you will have an embossing folder and punch to keep for yourself!

Adjusted Total: $12.93 however you will have plenty of Candi and Honeycomb pads left for additional projects!

ReAdjusted Adjusted Total: $2.99 for the nailheads which you could omit!

So now you see how I justify, justify, justify! The cost is minimal if you look at it my way!

These are the four adorable cards that are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. I made coordinating envelopes using another SCS tutorial.

My envelope flaps are stamped tone on tone with the ornament stamps. I colored parts of the images with white color pencil and then erased for a subtle white accent.

Other details you may not have noticed:
*There is a tiny strip of glitter along the scalloped pieces as well as the narrow border on the envelope...a very fun and inexpensive touch!
*The candy pieces are stamped in red ink and then coated with a glassy glaze/crystal effects so they shine!
*Faux stitching on the candy panels to frame them.
*Penguin images popped up on foam tape.
*I used an embossing folder to decorate my pouch...once purchased, cheaper than buying designer paper!

White Winter Wishes!

It's time for a new CropStop challenge! This week the challenge was to make an all white card!
I always love all white cards....they are so pristine and pretty...like fresh fallen snow!

I decided to make some ribbon rosettes with the May Arts Sheer with Ruffle Edge and the Sheer Satin Edged Ribbons. You can use a Gluber and simply wrap your ribbon from the outside edge in, crimping and pleating as desired. Each ribbon has it's own personality as you can see on these rosettes.

Other items on this card are the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl Embossing Folder. I think this was one of my first embossing folders ever....but it's still fun on snow cards! I stamped my verse on a Spellbinders' Fancy Tags Two die.

Autumn Mums ~ Designed2Delight!

I framed my image with Spellbinders Labels Three Dies, the larger of which I glittered with Art Institute's Ultra Fine Twig Opaque Glitter. I fussy cut the image and popped up the smaller of the Labels Three die cuts.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Martha Stewart Flower Border Punch and aged copper brads to finish my card.

Digital Tuesday Christmas Time Challenge!

Happy Tuesday! It's been a while since I've shared some Fred She Said projects on my blog, so today my Digital Tuesday Challenge card for our Christmas Time challenge features Tracey-Lynn's new Christmas Poinsettia Lantern Set.

This is a pre-colored image which I used Martha Stewart's Punch Around The Page punches to frame. I placed a slightly smaller black panel behind the image top pop the image and the lacey border a bit.
I used SU!'s embossing folder to mimic my poinsettia in the image. A few Martha Stewart snowflakes are dressed up with some white Candi to finish my card.

Prickley Pear - Poinsettia Bunch

I chose to color the new Poinsettia Bunch image with Copic Markers. I went with R89, R29, YG97, YG95 for this card with a touch of Y38 in the centers of the flowers.

I kept this card clean and simple, stamping the Poinsettia Postage in Cherry Cobbler ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The card base and mat are Chocolate Truffle.

The Spirit of Christmas image is stamped on the bottom in black ink. I added some snowflakes embellished with Candi.

Gift Box and Holiday Tag

This week's challenge on The Rubber Cafe's blog is to make Holiday gift wrapping and a tag.
I went with the SplitcoastStampers tutorial for a Treat Box Card. This little goodie holds five Hershey's Nuggets and a tag. Package it up in a cello bag and you have a fun little gift!

I used the following stamps: Christmas Tidings (Happy Holidays) and Ornamental Holiday (sentiment) and Winter Fun Labrador and Kitty.

You could just as easily tuck a gift card in with the tag...the options are endless! I used the Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug on this project.

I modified the box a tad and added a snowflake border because I wanted to decorate it with Candi!
I used Spellbinders Dies and Copic Markers on my project: W7, W5, W3, R89, R29, YG95, YG93.

Walk In My Garden...

I made two cards today using McMahon Five Designs' If I Had A Flower image and following SCS's Free For All Challenge which was to make a thank you card and to use one of the embellishments you are thankful for. I am thankful for lots of things....but for this card I chose flowers...but it could just as easily be embossing folders, twine, or any other thing that finds it's way onto my cards!

I used a soft color palette on my first card using Copics: B0000, R02, E43, G12.

For my second card I chose a brighter collection of Copics: E47, E44, E08, R29, R21, YG17.

Our Craft Lounge ~ Fairy Tale Challenge ~ Frosty Fun!

Today there is a new challenge up on the Our Craft Lounge Blog...and it's Fairytale Week!

I chose to go with Frosty The Snowman for my card.

I was asked yesterday what inspires me...and I honestly don't think about it....but when I did...I guess it's the images, then the papers, then the copics or coloring medium, then finding the perfect embellishments to make the images pop. I also realized I AM inspired by the workshops I teach. Often I'm asked to teach cards that I've made long ago and it makes me remember things I have in my stash that I've not used in a while. Yesterday I explained the Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punches...and looky here....it pops up on my card today! We were also talking about the gorgeous coated papers...and looky here...my snowflakes and swirly frame are a mixture of different coated and plain papers...no two snowflakes are the same you know!

It's always fun to mix in favorite techniques now and again...and glitter and acetate was one we revisited in the workshop yesterday....and I just had to try it on this adorable imae today! And finally new embellishments. I'm lovin Candi...and I'm liking it for embellishing my snowflakes this season...a step away from gems and pearls!

From Our Family Tree To Yours....

It's time for a new challenge on the CropStop Blog...and this week's challenge is to use the colors of your country's flag. For me that would be red, white and blue!

I decided to go with a HoneyPop card featuring Inky Antics' Ornament Birdy set. I colored my birdy with the following Copic Markers: B97, B95, B93, B0000, YG97, C1, YR16 and Copic Spica glitter pens in red and silver. This designer paper is from Bo Bunny and punches are from Martha Stewart.

I used the white HoneyComb Pad for my tree, however then I used the Copic Airbrush and YG97 to add some coloring to my tree. I've never seen this done before, but I love the shaded look I achieved with this technique! I also used a star in this kit to make a Honey Pop star on top of my tree...how cool is that?!

Lawn Fawn 2-5-7-10 Treat Box

Today's post is for iCopic.com, and I'm sharing a 2-5-7-10 Treat Box from the Splitcoast Stampers Resouces.

I used Lawn Fawn's Winter Fox image and colored it with the Copic Markers shown below.

This image is quite wide if you include his tail on it, but I made it smaller by framing my fox and letting his tail lop off of the panel.

Peaceful Wishes and the dots are rub-ons. Snowflake punch is by Martha Stewart. Velvet ribbon is from May Arts. I tied my box with RicRac, and left the tails long so that the box can be filled and tied. The snowflake center is Candi.

Snowman Card Trio

It's Digital Tuesday today....and our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps. I love these snowmen...they are a hoot to color with Copic Markers.

My first card features Snowman Snowflakes, candi, bakers twine and a sizzix embossing folder.

This card features Snowman Snowballs, Bo Bunny designer paper, candi, and a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Snowflake Edge Die.

My final card features Snowman Bells, candi, bakers twine and a SU! snowflake die.

These are the Copics I used for this set of cards.

Grateful For You - Prickley Pear Monday

I colored my image with the following Copic markers: E27, E43, E42, E41, YG97, YG95, YG93, YR16, Y38, Y35, Y32.

Orament Cards...

Today I'm revisiting some ornament cards that are perfect for the holidays. I love the clean and simple simplicity of the cards.

I used Ornamental Holiday on the first two cards...using embossing for the red ornaments and using the glitter and acetate technique on the second card.

I used the Chili Ornament on this card in two different ways. I used it tone on tone for the background and then colored it with Copic Markers for my focal point. I embossed Brushed Borders to frame my image.
