Beautiful Mail & Last of the Scrapbook Pages
I just have to share this beautiful card I received today from Jacqueline, who won my last blog candy offering. I love checking out her blog....and now I have a card of my own to admire! Thank you, friend!
This is my last pair of pages for the chipboard album I've been working on. I followed Flaxychick's SCS Scrapbook Challenge for both of these pages. I just scaled it down to my 6x6 album, but I plan on trying this layout when I get to scrapping 12x12 pages. Papers are from Basic Grey's Perhaps collections. Flourishes are from Maya Road and are covered with Art Institute's Baby's Breath glitter. Flowers are by Prima, glitter dots are from Archiver's. I faux stitched around each panel for a sewn/quilted look. Just plain happy stamp is from an acrylic set from Doodlebug Designs called Doodlebug Memories.
The particulars on this page are the same excepting for the hearts which are from Archiver's. Also, the Explore stamp is from Impression-Obsession's acrylic set called Word Frames.
This book ends when my daughter is 8 months old simply because the pages are *chunky* and there is no more room on the rings. I was intending it be just a glimpse of our baby....so I'm happy with the way it turned out. My 5 year old son is asking when I'm starting his...so I'll have to find a line of paper and make one for him as well...those baby years are precious.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! ...may your new year be healthy and happy!
