Embellish-Online ATC Challenge/BLOG CANDY!
I've fallen behind on posting the EIO weekly challenges....but this one is a *little* project....so maybe you'll have time to squeak one in....we'd love to have you play along!! This sketch is not for a card...but for an Artist Trading Card. These little lovelies are 3.5 x 2.5 inches and can either be traded with other stampers or used as springboards for larger cards....or even as the focal point on a larger card. The triangles can be done simply by cutting a 2 to 2.5 inch square and cutting it in half. Thanks Flaxychick for that handy little hint!!!

The tulip ATC is done using the wet wipes as a homemade ink pad. You simply add a few drops of reinkers to a folded wet wipe. I used Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and Rose Red for this one. Then I *stamped* my image onto my ink pad and onto my paper. You want to have your ink drops fairly close to each other....and using a solid stamp works best with this technique. The patterned papers are unknown source from my stash of scraps. The white lacey layer is a Marvy scallop square punch with 1/8 inch circles punced in it, cut in half. (the purple scallop punch) Ribbon is by May arts, flourish stamp is from Priceless set by SU! Ribbon is by May Arts. Image is cut and layered on black cardstock that has been faux stitched with a white Signo gel pen and popped up with foam tape.
This little lovely uses three types of paper from Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6x6 paper collection. The base layer is Wild Wasabi cardstock by SU! that has been run through the Cuttlebug tapestry embossing folder. Ribbon is by May Arts and Happiness Always is from SU!s Happy Harmony set. The ecru paper is a scrap that has been distressed.
My last sample also uses Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6x6 collection. I've run the pink piece through Cuttlebug's tapestry folder and then used a sanding block to sand it off some for added distressing. The flower is done the same as the first card on this post, however this one is layered on some white glimmer cardstock that has been distressed. The ribbons are by Offray....some I never can figure out how to use decently.....but on these *tiny cards* the tiny ribbon is pretty sweet.
So...hopefully my first attempt at these babies has inspired YOU to give them a try!! They are addicting, as you can see...and a great way to use up stamped images and scraps you may have. Wouldn't they make adorable gift cards?
