Box in a Bag
These little things are a fun way to give a little gift...and I was challenged to make one by Debbiedee. She was kind enough to take directions from SCS and downsize them so we could make the small one. I, however, didn't grab the right sheet, so I the tiny one she told me not to make! She got them both!!
Basically all you do is fold a little box and then wrap the paper around it to form a little bag.
I used up scrap designer papers, so I don't have info on those. I used the slit punch from SU! on the larger of the bags and the Fiskars Threading Water Punch on the smaller of the bags. The buttons are Vintage and oh, so fun to tie ribbons through! The SU! punch is used to tie the bags shut. I sorta messed this up too since I locked her out by only using one!! Use one on each side and you'll have little *handles* to tie together! Live and learn!! ;)
I'm lifting this info straight from her blog.....thanks Debbie!!
The original size and pattern can be found here.
A mini size and pattern can be found here.
BUT we needed an in between size so I came up with these dimensions. I used the same technique as the other gals, so check out their blog for the directions:
box: 3.5" x 3.5" (score at 3/4" on each side
bag piece: 4.25 x 11"
very important tip: use tacky tape on all of the steps that you have to tape together. I didn't on the tabs and they kept popping off, so had to add the tacky tape.
