Copic Coloring techniques. During the the month of April, I've prepared several mini-tutorials to give you some more ideas on other ways to use your

This is a quick and easy way to dress up your punched pieces using the feathering technique. This punch is the
Martha Stewart Blossom Trim Deep Edge punch. I chose to keep my colors very basic on this card...no additional shading, so I only chose one pink and one green color. I was looking for a more muted feel, so I chose a neutral cardstock color for my base. The feathering technique is a fun one. You start your pressure normally, but then as you make your pen stroke you lift as you go. This gives the tips of your stroke a lighter, more feathery appearance. I started my strokes at the flower's center and at the leaf's base.
You can use your finished colored piece as is, or you can add pearls to the flower centers as I did in my finished card. I used
Cuttlebug's Victoria Embossing Folder for the background panel for my card. The die cuts are from
Spellbinder's Decorative Butterfly Border set. I love the white on white combo! My ovals are from
Spellbinder's Classic Ovals Large and
Classic Ovals Small sets. I glittered the edge of my sentiment die. The sentiment is by Wordsworth.
