Embossed Vellum Butterfly

I'm on a vellum embossing kick these days! I go from one to the next...and this image just is perfect for this technique! I stamped the Large Swirl Butterfly from The Rubber Cafe on teal vellum with Stazon ink. I then flipped the image over on a foam mat and used my embossing tool to apply pressure in various areas. When you rub gently it will turn the vellum white! You will need to play with the correct pressure to be sure you don't rip your vellum. In this case I then also divided the wings into three sections and colored four of the sections with Copic BG39 (on the backside of the vellum) to add some more interest. I then cut out the image and attached it with glue dots.

Designer paper is from BasicGrey's Marrakech Collection. The base cardstock is by SU!
From the Heart is also from The Rubber Cafe. Thanks for stopping by!
