Heart*felt* Hello!
Ok....so this is *SO* not Julie Ebersole...but I'm totally inspired by her simple crisp cards. I try stamping like that and it looks like junk, why is that?! I was going for simple on this one..but somehow I still ended up with 6 layers!!
The card base is bashful blue (SU!). I used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder and large oval punch (SU!) on the white panel. *Hello* is by Stampendous! and is stamped on white cardstock, punched out with the small oval punch (SU!) and popped up with foam tape. The blue circle is actally part of a PIF/DSS gift I received...there were two of these circles on a sheet. Not sure what they were supposed to be for....but I cut them apart and this is one of them! I used the ticket corner punch (SU!) on the corners before layering it onto a bashful blue scalloped square punch (Marvy-the purple one!) and then attaching to a black layer. I placed white minibrads in the circles left by the ticket and scallop punches.
The snowman is also some of that felt ribbon from Queen & Co. I just chopped this little fellow off and stuck him on my blue circle. Then to give him a little punch I colored his eyes and nose with some sharpies.
Thanks to my SBS2 sister, Maria, for the instructions to keep my blog candy post up to the top...but since it's 11:35pm here and I'm getting cross-eyed I will see about trying that out with tomorrow's post! Until then.....scroll down a few to my blog candy post if you're interested in playing along for a chance to win some ribbon! You have until Sunday night at 9:00pm central to post your card!
