With Sympathy

I'm working on a Sympathy Card workshop and this is one of the cards I came up with. There is something about the monochromatic color theme that I find very simple and elegant. The ecru piece is run through the script folder from cuttlebug and layered on ecru cardstock. The tulips are by Printworks and are done with the watercolor crayons on ecru watercolor paper. That panel is layerd on another ecru panel that has been faux stitched with a white gel pen. The With Sympathy is printed on vellum using my computer. I need to remember to do this more....it gave me a long narrow senitment that I needed to tear and attach to the card. I attached it with a single mini glue dot on each side....and if you really look you can see it...but I like the way the edges curled upwards a bit and gives it a bit of dimension with out adding bulk or do-dads of any sort.

This is very soft, pretty, and perfect. The monochromatic design really works, especially for a sympathy card. Very nice.

Very beautiful card! You are brillant printing the "with sympathy" on vellum! I've printed on vellum before for scrapbooking, but never for card making! This will be great when I need to do a card and don't have the appropriate sentiment!
