Winter Wish
A winter wish to all for a Happy New Year....Hello 2008! This is the first card I've made this year...and yes, I'm working on my New Year's Cards on New Year's Day....how tardy am I?! Another goal for this new year...the cardmaker should be *on time* making and sending her cards! Not sure if I can keep this goal...but it looks good in writing!!
The embossed paper is some pretty stuff I found at a local stamp store several years ago. I hoard things forever and finally decide to use them....I love the soft look...it has a tissue/mulberry feel to it. I tore it and ran it through my Xyron machine before attaching it to the pale blue cardstock (unknown source). The ribbon is from May Arts. The flower is by Prima...I *love* these ....can you tell?! The pale blue snowflakes are buttons (unknown source) and the diamond gems are a PIF or DSS gift I rec'd. The stamp is by SU! and is stamped in Versamark and then chalked. I cut it out leaving a narrow border and then layered it on glimmer paper. I faux stitched with a white gel pen which may be a little hard to see, but is a nice subtle look in real life. Wish is also a SU! stamp in black ink. I love the chilly crisp look of this card...but hubby thought it looked like a wedding card!! Oh well.....

This is a beautiful card. I love how "wintry" it looks. Is that a word? LOL
The bling on the snowflakes is perfect.
I love the soft blues and textures of this card!!!
