A Little Inky Antics Inspiration!

It's my day on the Inky Antics'  blog, so I've snitched Jackie's post to share with you! Enjoy!

The holiday season can include wonderful experiences that fill our senses, such as those depicted in 11209MC Christmas Sights & Sounds Clear Set (drawn by artist Nancy Baier):

Can you see the candle flame flickering in the window and hear the jingle bells ringing yet?

Michelle Pearson created a lovely group of cards featuring these stamps, starting with the candle scene:

The oval and scalloped oval are actually reverse frames, layered on top of the main image to provide depth, with the fussy cut jingle bell positioned above everything else with foam tape.

You can also use the same basic layout, but with a saying (instead of an image) inside the oval to change things up:

As you can see, the jingle bell has been moved to the lower right, but the layered oval frames in both cards are identical. A strip of glitter tape along the left side adds sparkle, while a dash-and-dot border around the edges gives definition to the panel.

Or you can use the same white gel pen to mimic a stitched border instead:

The card above is part of the November sample board, which was sent to participating stores, along with the stamps from this collection. Click here for a list of stores who received this shipment.

We encourage you to call ahead to verify they have these stamps in stock, and then please visit them to make your purchase. However, if you're unable to find a local retailer carrying them, you may also order online from us.

Do you happen to know a local stamp or scrapbook store that might be interested in our board program? Please ask them to email me for details. If they sign up for it and provide your name as a referral at that time, I'll send you an appreciation gift!

Oh Michelle you have really made these images sing on these beautiful cards.
