Precious Moments....

Ok, these little ladies from Stampavie are SO fun to color....I have another card here!

I used American Crafts Designer Papers; Humpty-Dumpty and Jack be Nimble. I like their papers because they are white core and can be sanded to show the embossing. I used Cuttlebug's Paisley Embossing Folder. (NOTE: click on the Embellish-Online.com blinky on my sidebar and check out the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders! They are $3.50 while supplies last!!!! WHOOT! ...have fun shopping! Remember to use GLITTER in the voucher box at checkout and save 20% off your ENTIRE ORDER! WHOOT WHOOT! :)

Image is colored with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens.

Flower is Prima and was stamped with a Prima Newsprint Stamp. May Arts RicRac, Sizzix Flourish Die, BasicGrey Brad and SU!'s Night of Navy cardstock for the card base.

A Cupcake for Debbie!

This is a fun card I made for a swap without a bit of stamping on it. This is a QuicKutz Die I picked up.

Cupcakes should probably be chocolate....so mine was, top and bottom. I ran the top through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for some sprinkles. Then I lightly brushed it with a Memories White Die pad to make them *pop*.

My cupcake liner is SU!'s Bashful Blue that I highlighted with a white gel pen.

Other products:
~Designer Paper: SU! Bashful Blue
~Photo Corner Punch: SU!
~Scalloped Circle Panel: Archiver's
~Ric Rac: May Arts
~Flowers: Imaginisce
~Brads: BasicGrey

So, what is your favorite flavor of cupcake?!

Happy Birthday to me!

A perfect opportunity to make a girly-girl card!

This card uses the Large Swirl Butterfly from The Rubber Cafe. I stamped it on a piece of glossy cardstock that I had done the Smackin' Acetate Technique with. I used SU! reinkers for this technique rather than markers. I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink. It fades out quite a bit when dry, but that is perfect for stamping the image on. I love the soft watercolored effect it gives.

I added some Mark Richard's Crystal Stickers to the butterfly for some added bling. Designer Paper is from BasicGrey's Euphoria Collection. The flourishes are a Sizzix Die I picked up from SU! I cut them in white cardstock and then added some white pearl glitter for some added dimension and bling!

And a bit of fun news that I'll share today! I'm happy to have the opportunity to represent The Rubber Cafe as a Design Team Member for another term! I look forward to working with their original stamps! Thank you Melissa, for the opportunity!

Red, White and Blue Challenge!

Today's challenge at Embellish-Online.com was: Bring On The Fireworks. I had this adorable image from Whipper Snapper handy that just looked to me like the 4th of July picnic! I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored him up with Copic Markers and some Spica Glitter pens.

The cardstock is pre-cut from The Paper Cut. I used American Craft Thickers for my DAD....I love those things! I used Karen Foster's tiniest snap stamps to stamp World's Best. The stars are from a SU! set...I stamped them, cut them out and then used red spica glitter pens on them.

I also created this for the Caardvarks window card challenge. I computer generated a recipe on kraft cardstock. This card opens once to reveal the recipe for the *World's Best Hamburgers* and then opens again for the personal message.

Brown, Blue and Bling!

I had so much fun playing along with the last challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog...... I decided to play along again this week! My images are all digital except for the Wish, which is from SU!

These stamps are Fred's Flowers; Dahlias from Fred, She Said Digital Designs. This time I printed the flowers out on some blue marbled designer paper. I taped designer paper to half of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of designer paper. When I cut out the images....I left the tape on and got two white *ghost* pieces that I glittered and added to my flower medallions for contrast. I used Art Institute's Ultrafine Crystal Glitter and a white gel pen to fancy up my flowers a bit.

Designer paper is from SU!'s Patterns Pack II. Cardstock is Chocolate Chip and Brocade Blue from SU!

Sweet 16!

Yesterday was my 16th wedding anniversary! Wow, how the time flies when you're having fun!

This adorable image is Stampavie, First Kiss. I colored it with Copic Markers and highlighted it with Spica Glitter Pens. This is my second attempt with the Copic Airbrush, and I must say I really like it. I need to cut my masks a bit smaller to avoid the white shadow...but I love the soft look it gives. 1 inch Satin Ribbon by May Arts. Thanks to Julie's color challenge at Embellish-Online.com yesterday...I still had Kraft cardstock out....so I embossed it with my Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder.

I was tickled with my scalloped oval flower center! I used the SU! small oval punch on pink cardstock...then I punched over it with the SU! scalloped oval punch to make a frame! I dotted it up with my Signo White Gel pen and really like the look. I'll be doing that again for sentiments!

~Wildflower by Prima
~flourish by Sizzix
~ribbon by Martha Stewart
~With Love by Hero Arts

Julie's Friday Challenge this week at Embellish-Online.com was a color challenge! We were to use Kraft, dark gray and pink, plus our choice of white or vanilla to create a card or a layout.

To be honest, I used the only piece of kraft cardstock that I own.....and dark gray too, for that matter. I found this a fun color combination though.....so I'll have to find some real soon!

Margaux is Painting For You!

Check out this little cutie I colored with my Copic Markers....Stampavie's Sarah Kay Margaux Is Painting image from Embellish-Online.com. I remembered this paper from BasicGrey's Cupcake Collection, and thought it looks about like the painting abilities of a child that age!

I actually did the *unthinkable* and cut out the image of the bear on her paper. It's cute...but I wanted the option to put whatever I wanted on her masterpiece! So now I can use my stamp either way....I love it! For this card I stamped the *paper* portion of the stamp on the designer paper, paper-piecing fashion.

The flower is by Fred She Said Designs, it's a digital image that I blinged up with Spica Glitter Pens and a BasicGrey brad. For You is by Serendipity Stamps.

Remember GLITTER is the magical code to put in the voucher box at Embellish-Online.com to save you 20% off of your ENTIRE order....sale items too! Just click on the blinky on my sidebar and enjoy your shopping! Check out the Maya Road products...they are 50% off already.....so that would be 70% off ladies!!! WHOOT!

Sweet Wishes!

Today I'm sharing a card I made this weekend....had a girlfriend and her family over. The kids played, the men golfed and we had ourselves a *stampavie* session!
This card all started with the cuttlebugged layered piece in the background! It was from a trial run of a 5x7 anniversary invitation that was an extra. I was recycling pieces of the card and not thinking, tore the panel in half...I like the half clean half torn look!

~making memories shaped pin
~wired ribbon
~SU! Oval punches
~Bazzil Cardstock

Hope you like her as much as I do!

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Since I've been happily coloring my new images from Fred, She Said Digital Designs, I decided to try a challenge by Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog. The challenge was to make a box or bag with digital images. You may remember these little one sheet boxes, this was a variation of the truffle boxes I finished recently that we decided not to go with. I decided to tweek it up a bit and use it for a little gift bag, since I don't throw much away. I'm thinking gift cards or stamping embellishments and the like would be a perfect *treat* to tuck inside!!

This image is the Stained Glass Floral Doodle-dallion. I colored the medallion with three shades of Copic Markers and then highlighted the image with my Signo White Gel Pen. As a final touch I added some gems that I believe were by EK Success. Thanks for taking a peek!

Floral Butterfly!

This card started out for a shaped card challenge...this is a butterfly template that is from looooonnnnngggg ago....D.O.T.S. days! When I got about half done I remembered I recently picked up the Beautiful Butterfly Sizzix Die! I'll have to play with this idea again with that shape!

I also have been cutting out these beautiful flowers from Fred, She Said Designs....and somehow they ended up on my butterfly card!! These beauties come in a collection of *14* colors! These are the Polka-Dotty Flowers, and I love them! I didn't do a thing but cut them out and score and fold each petal by pinching each petal together, and the same for the leaves. Pop them up on some foam for a bit more dimension!

The smaller glittered butterfly is the opening *card.* The antenna are stuck into foam tape that is between the *card* and the larger shaped panel. Thanks for stopping by and takin a peek!

Cardstock: American Crafts, Baby Collection, Little Bo Peep
Glitter: Art Institute Crystal Transparent Glitter
Flower Pins: Making Memories
Glitter Dots: Dress It Up!
Alphabet: American Crafts, Thickers, Sprinkles
Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewart

I'm So Excited!

I have some happy news to share with you....I am now a member of the Fred, She Said Design team! I've long wondered about digital and what it all meant....and recently I posted three of the cards I made while getting my feet wet. I fell in love with Tracy's images, and just had to give her design team call a try! I'm so honored to have been chosen, and can't wait to get busy creating!

On a personal note, I've been getting ready for a rummage sale here this weekend.....so I've been on a forced break from playing with paper! My son's last day of First Grade tomorrow....just where does time go?! Then we hop into a summer schedule of swimming lessons, piano lessons, library trips and rummaging! I'll be back soon with some eye candy...and thanks for sharing my excitement with me!
