One Last Digi Card...

Ok, so if you live in WI like I do, you're probably shrieking, a SNOWFLAKE?!?!?! End of MAY?!?! But with our cool temps lately, we've had a slow spring. I made three digital cards the other night....and this one is just too fun to hold till snow flies in our neck of the woods again!!

This was another freebie digital image from FredSheSaid...called Snowflake Medallion. I printed it out in several sizes and then used several colors of Copics to color the image. I used Art Institute Crystal Glitter and foam tape to add dimenstion and glitter.

This card was inspired by the quote *snowflakes are winter's butterflies.* I added the piercing/faux stitching using SU!'s piercing template...oh, the possibilities!!!

Other items used on this card:
~white embossed paper (unknown source, but oh, so pretty!)
~Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
~SU! Photo Corner Punch
~scalloped circle panel (Archiver's)
~Signo white gel pen
~piercing tool/SU! piercing template
~adhesive gems
~Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder
~Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Digi Attempt #2! was my second attempt with digital images! I used the same Pink and Mellow flower set as yesterday from FredSheSaid and tried out her Paper Pricking Pattern with it. I love the fact that you can change the sizes of the I could perfectly size it for my card. I pierced it with a pin as she suggests on her site and then faux stitched the pierced holes with my Spica Glitter Pens! I used pink and olive. These pens are so fun....if you don't have on the blinky on my can get them for 20% off with the code GLITTER at checkout!

To change up these flower a little, I used my Zig Pure Pink Dotta*Riffic pen. I used the BIG end for the dots and the small end for the edging. I used the same folding technique as yesterday for the flowers...but for the leaves I pinched them a bit differently. Instead of pinching the printed sides together as in the last card, on this one I pinched just the tips of the leaves down and the base of the leaf up this gives them a funky look!

Other supplies used: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder, SU! Photo Corner Punch, black adhesive gems, black adhesive circles (JoAnns), adhesive pearls, Marvy Scalloped Circle Punch (pink one)

My First Digi Card!

I wasn't sure I was going to like digital images....but I ran across Fred She Said....The Store, and fell in love with her images! These were freebies...and what better way to try them out than to create with her beautiful freebies?!

The images come in a set, and this one is called Pink & Mellow. I used Copic Spica Glitter Pens to bling up the images. I used pink on the pink, lemon on the yellow and orange on the yellow for my flowes. My leaves were blinged up with the olive glitter pen.

I folded the images a bit to add some dimensional interest. To do this I simply used my craft knife on a thick foam pad to *score* the lines and then used my fingers to gently squeeze my folds in.

Other items used:
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (
SU! Photo Corner Punches
Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder (
Hero Arts Stamp
Adhesive Pearls
Piercing Tool/Signo White Gel Pen
Fiber/Scalloped Circle (Archiver's)

Everything Is Coming Up Flowers Challenge!

I guess I took a bit of a blog break there! I've been out playing in my *real* flowers and enjoying my favorite season of the year! I have been creating cards I'll be posting them soon.
It is Cindy's challenge this week at her challenge is to use flowers!
I made this card for my brother & sister-in-law who are celebrating an anniversary this weekend!

Card base is SU!'s Sahara Sand. Designer paper is from BasicGrey's Granola Collection. I re-purposed my Prima Marketing flower I *green* or what?! I was tickled that I was able to leave the lovebirds peeking out since it's an anniversary card and all! I used BasicGrey's chipboard for their initials, and left it *naked* since it matched the packaging and cardstock perfectly. Glittered designer paper is from Prima, as are the collage flowers. Vintage ribbon, mini brads, pinwheels from Paper Wishes and the stamp from Penny Black finish off the card.

We would love to have you join us with your flower card ideas. If you do, you can read all about the challenge HERE. ~michelle~

You may have seen these One Sheet Boxes when I posted the ones I made for my parent's 40th Wedding Anniversary back in December. Guest Names: computer generated

Guest Panels were cut out by hand, colored with Copic Markers and glittered with Art Institute's Crystal Glitter. All box edges were sanded to expose the white paper core for a shabby chic feel.

Friday, May 15, 2009's Friday Challenge

This week's Challenge Hostess was Daniela. She challenged us to stamp on punched shapes. I stamped on the Top Note Die before embossing it....and I stamped on the butterfly punches as well. This was a fun idea I'd like to try in a few more ways.

For this card I stamped Rose's Garden from Stampavie with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored her with Copic Markers and highlighted her top trim, hair bow and garden tools with Spica Glitter Pens. The designer paper is from BasicGrey's Urban Prairie Collection. I stamped the die cut with Maya Road Sakura Clear Stamps and then embossed it with Cuttlebug's Diamond in the Rough Embossing Folder.

I'm loving the scalloped oval punch from SU!, it's just fun! Thanks for stopping by!

I stamped SU!'s Print Pattern in white Stazon on Acetate. The liner of the card is from Imaginisce's Fairest Of Them All Collection. It is simply *tied* into the card with the ribbon.
A scalloped oval of Very Vanilla cardstock has been attached to the inside of the acetate to frame the oval on the front of the card.

Teacher Appreciation Day

This is the card we gave to N's teacher this week. The designer paper is from BasicGrey's Recess Collection. I used SU!'s punch to add a notebook paper feel. There are a variety of stamps on this card. The alphabet along the top of the card is by WhipperSnapper. The clock is by SU!, and the rest of the stamps are by Pink Paislee. I stamped the images in Memento's Rich Cocoa ink. The teacher quote is a rub-on, and the alphabet brad is from JoAnns. The regular brad came home from school.

Little details....the school months are showing in the stamped ring to the right of the verse. I covered up June, July and August with the matted quote. The quote is stamped on a stamp of handwriting paper in Baja Breeze ink. Owl is colored with Copics and Spica Glitter pens highlight the owls eyes and beak.

Helter Swelter!

This is the same day as yesterday's layout....different kid and different collection! I used Fancy Pants About a Boy Collection. For this layout I slightly distressed the Peace Paper with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I distressed the Expression paper with faux stitching and a distressing tool. The alphabet stamps are from My Sentiments Exactly! This is the type of photo I get when my son sees me weilding a camera! Nice helmet, son! This sheet is called Expression, and I got a few on this page!! I added additional distressing by stampin the water rings by Impression-Obsession in the center of the page. For a different look, I layered the SU! photo corner punches under the photos. The journal block is from Stampers Anonymous and is stamped on the backside of the Chillin paper. My final embellishment was to use up a TON of eyelets.

Spring Has Sprung!

When I received these fun papers from I immediately thought of these photos I took the other day of the kids playing outside. I like taking LOTS of photos of the kids doing ordinary everyday things....I catch lots of expressions and quirks that make them *them!*

This page features RIBBIT from American Craft's Backyard Collection. I cut out the butterflies from FLITTER, bent the wings slightly and attached them with glue dots. The Journal Sticker is from the TEEN Collection, and coordinates perfectly.

Last but not least I added some Sprinkle Thickers for my title. Thanks to Julie I've been busy collecting them....and now I'm going to start *using* them!!

This page features SNAP from the Backyard Collection. I used more of the butterflies to tie the pages together. I like getting a lot of photos on a page....and I think I'll be using this layout again.

Other info: journal stamp by Stampers Anonymous. Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.

This is such a cheery little card that uses the new designer papers released by America Craft. This features butterflies that I cut from Flitter. The tree is cut from a sheet of Pop designer paper from the Backyard Collection.

The houses are from Midge Gathermore designer paper from the Craft Fair Collection.
I love that these papers have coordinating colors on the back...makes for a quick and easy, perfectly coordinated card!

The image is a Kolette Hall image designed for Studio G...a $1 Michael's stamp that is so similar in style I just had to ink it up!

Friday Challenge 39!

Well...I've been a bad blogger....I've been busy creating things, but none have made them onto the blog yet!! I was away for part of the weekend....I worked at a stamp show in Sayner, WI in the Stamp Shoppe's booth. We had a lot of fun with our make-n-takes and had a great day!

I made this card for Embellish-Online's Friday Challenge last week. Our challenge was Festive Floral Fauna, and our Hostess was Ching!

For my card I used an Artistic Outpost image that I stamped on a piece of glossy paper that I applied alcohol reinkers to. I cut it out and mounted it on a SU! Top Note Die panel that I embossed with Cuttlebug's Script Embossing Folder. For a fun look I used the die with the embossed writing it looks more like a squiggly stripe! I liked the effect!

The delicious ribbon is May Arts, and the flower is by Prima! The designer paper is from BasicGrey's Porcelain Collection and was a perfect match. Card base is SU!'s Chocolate Chip. Congratulations is by Purple Onion Designs. Martha Stewart's Doily Punch and adhesive pearls finish the card.

Thanks for popping by!!
