Daisy Do on Acetate!

It's time for a new CropStop Challenge....and this week it was Pearls.

I just received the fabulous Crafts Concepts Daisy Do embossing folder...and it barely made it out of the packaging!  I cut down the acetate packaging and an it through the Big Shot!   I've not seen this technique before, but decided to glitter my flowers!  I added the glitter to the popped up side with Art Institute Glitter/tip and You're So Fine Glitters in Cool Highlight and Blue Skies. Simply color in the indented shapes with glue, glitter and you're good to go!

I layered the dried glitter panel on some Riccio Astrosilver Embossed Metallic cardstock, a touch of turquoise cardstock and finally a panel of fresh green cardstock.

I used a few border embossing folders, the Cuttlebug Measure by Measure for the oval embossed swirls on the bottom and then the Cuttlebug Border With Love for the flowers across the top.

Brown/Purple/Yellow Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday!  This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge was a color challenge...and the colors:  Brown, Purple and Yellow!  I can say you don't honestly see that color combo on my blog much....but here is my shot at it!

I went with the Corner Gerbera Daisy and Gerbera Daisy in a Jar pre-colored images from Fred, She Said Digital Designs.  Paired with some designer paper from JoAnn's, some May Arts Ribbon and Candi, here you go!

I spend the day yesterday in the greenhouses....such gorgeous colors and blooms...I love seeing all of the different blossoms.  I have no luck keeping Gerbera Daisies alive on my deck...but on paper, they never fade away!

Be sure to pop by the Digital Tuesday blog and see what the other ladies have been up to!  Play along for your chance to win some images!

Glitter Glue Stamping!

This is one of two cards today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
It's Prickley Pear Monday....and I have a fun card for you today!

This card features the new Clearly Beautiful Hibiscus 2 set and the Clearly Beautiful Scalloped Oval set as well as the Hibiscus die, the Mini-Hibiscus die and the Scalloped Oval die.

I stamped the oval/sentiment with Stazon ink, but the rest is stamped with Scrap Happy glue and glittered with You're So Fine Microglitter!  This is a fun way to add lots of glitz to a card, yet keep the card light and airy.

The dies make quick work of the fussy cutting....I just cut out the border by hand.

You can stop by the Prickley Pear Blog for some more inspiration!  Have a great week!

I Picked This Flower....

This is one of two posts today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!

Happy Monday!  Today's card for One Crazy Stamper is a cheerful little one featuring Inky Antic's images. The flower is very is popped up with an Action Wobbles!    Keep your eye out for this week's Inky Antics Blog Hop.....we'll be featuring these fun little guys with videos to show their movements!

I used the Pretty Posey HoneyPoP set.  These sets are versatile, you don't have to use the HoneyPoP element on your cards....this one features the Action Wobbles instead!

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol.  This is a fun alternate to Copic Markers.  You color your images with the pencils and use the gamsol to melt the pencil wax for a beautifully blended look.

Other items on this card are Making Memories designer paper and Martha Stewart punch around the page punches.

If you haven't stopped by the One Crazy Stamper store sure you do!!  There is always lots of new stuff to drool over!!

Designed2Delight May Reveal Blog Hop!

This is one of two posts today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
Welcome to the Designed2Delight May Release Blog Hop!  I'm sharing three cards today featuring images from the May release...more to follow in the near future!
Faith will be offering 20% off the new release for 3 days and has offered me the opportunity to  give an image away.  All YOU need to do is leave me a comment... I will select a random winner on Tuesday afternoon.  Faith will post the winners on the Designed2Delight blog on Wednesday morning!  Good Luck!!

If you have arrived here from Pat's are right on track!  if not, you may wish to start at the beginning of the hop on the D2D blog.
My first card features the Tulip Collage image.  I colored the image with Copic markers and paired it with some Echo Park paper and Candi embellishments.

My second card features the Necktie Banner image.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and fussy cut all of the ties.  I popped them up on foam tape to add some dimension to my card.

I used Echo Park designer papers on this project and added Candi embellishments for a final touch.

My final card features the Wild Blueberry Blossoms image.  Again, I colored with Copic Markers and matched it up with Memory Box and Bo Bunny papers.  A touch of Candi and linen thread finish my project.

I always find it interesting to research my projects a bit...and this one taught me what colors a blueberry blossom really is!  I had it in my head blue...but the photo that caught my eye was this one with the touches of coral!  I'm also the girl who looks words up when I'm playing games....just because it's interesting to learn new words!  Quay is a recent one I you know what it is?!
Your next blog hop stop is Kathy's blog.  Enjoy!

Glitter Landscaping with You're So Fine Glitters

This is one of two posts today, so be sure to scroll down for more inspiration!
My cards today for The Rubber Cafe are of the blingy sort!  I have no idea what this technique is called....but I'm calling it Glitter Landscaping!  I took a piece of wide Scor Tape and attached it to a piece of white cardstock.

Next I removed the liner.  I punched the flower border on a liner piece. (I used a brown one in my stash so it would show up more in the photos.
I applied the punched liner back onto the tape leaving a border as desired.  I poured a bit of the You're So Fine glitter out and covered the exposed tape, adding the touch of green for my flowers.
You can use a swiffer to pick up any glitter left on your card panel after you flick it off.
Again, I carefully removed the liner and cut a wavy line as shown.  I reapplied the large liner piece and then added my pink glitter.

I repeated this process as shown on the card photo and landscaped my tape perfectly.  This card is going to a graduate who likes bright colors!

I stamped the sentiment on the glittered panel with Stazon ink and colored it with Copic Markers.
I embellished the card with Candi Embellishments.

For my next card I switched up the glitter and went for a more masculine effect:
I mounted my tape strip on a piece of white cardstock.  Next I die cut the congrats out of some liner paper and placed it on my tape as well as narrow strips along the edges of my panel.  I glittered the background green, letters white and then edges gold.

I die cut the star and popped it up on foam tape.  Candi finishes this card as well.

I hope you've enjoyed this mini tutorial...the focus is entirely on the awesome You're So Fine Glitters!

Nesting Finches

Happy Saturday!  I have a pretty birthday card for you today featuring images from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps: the Nesting Finches and the Vertical Birthday.

I colored the image with Copic Markers and framed it with the Memory Box Debutante Die and distressed with Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.

The brown scrolled die is also by Memory Box and is similar to this Twirling Vine Die.

Our Craft Lounge Photo Inspiration Challenge

This week's Our Craft Lounge Challenge is a photo inspiration.  I mimiced the background colors and the log is my bench and the butterfly arrangement is my tree!

I used images from the Tweet Thang set. For all of the coloring on this card I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks:  Old Paper, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Walnut Stain and Broken China.  I also used Shabby Shutters and Victorian Velvet Distress markers.  To blend my colors I used some Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist.

The background panel, if you look carefully, you can see images from the Fabulous Florals set.  I added them to the paper before distressing further.  Personalized Designer Paper!!

I added pops of glitz with You're So Fine Microfine Glitters.

I entered this card into the Card Crafter's Circle Glitter Glitter Challenge!

CropStop Masculine Challenge

Thursday and time for a new CropStop Challenge!  This week our challenge was to make a masculine card.  Here you go....this one is all boy!  I needed a 16th birthday card....and though I'm late with my birthday wishes for the birthday boy....I'm pretty sure that gas money never is untimely!!

I used Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous Road Trip Set, Inkadinkadoo sentiment and a Printworks sentiment.

I stamped the tire tracks with Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Inks on Crumb Cake cardstock.  I embossed several images for my focal images and stamped some flat to add dimension.

I used Echo Park's Times and Season's Collection along with some metal embellishments from Tim Holtz to finish my card.

Be sure to stop by the CropStop blog for more masculine card inspiration...who can't use some of that?!  Enjoy!

McMahon Five Designs Card Duo!

Happy Wednesday!  If you liked yesterday's Digital Tuesday may like these as well!
You may know how I get on a roll sometimes...and since I had printed out several of these Scrolled Frames on the 3M Transparency Film for Ink Jet Printers, I just had to pop a few more cards together!

These cards feature more images from McMahon Five Designs.   I colored the Story Time image with Copic Markers:  B0000, B000, W5, W3, R22, R21, R20.

The corners are embellished with Newsprint Candi embellishments and the sentiment is by Wordsworth.

For my second card today I used the Meadow's Sunset image which requires no coloring if you wish to go for a silhouette feel.  I kept my color scheme all black and white.

Thanks for stopping by....and if you have not signed up for the McMahon Five Designs newsletter, be sure you do!  You will get to see all of the NEW images as they are released along with a healthy dose of inspiration!

Digital Tuesday Clearly Beautiful Challenge

It's Digital Tuesday and I got to pick the challenge theme this week!  I went with Clearly Beautiful as my theme...I want to see clear elements on your cards...think buttons, charms, acetate!

I decided the other day when I was in Office Max to splurge on some 3M Transparency Film for Ink Jet Printers.  I won't lie....almost didn't do $60 a package for 50 sheets the thought made me shudder...but if I print in wallet or 3x5 helps make the $1.25 a sheet more tolerable... 30 cents for a quarter sheet...less for the wallet size.  See....I can rationalize very well when it comes to my crafty supplies!!  *wink!

I printed the Scrolled Frame image from McMahonFive Designs on the acetate.  I cut it out and attached it to some printed/foil accented designer paper with a glue dot on each corner.  I love the fact I've created a frame for my flower image that allows the designer paper to show through.  I embellished the frame with some Candi embellishments.

Next I fussy cut the Peony Love image after I had printed and colored it with Copic Markers on white cardstock.  Copic Markers:  R39, R37, YG63, YG61, W1, E42.

As a finishing touch, I popped it up on foam tape and added some Silver Medal You're So Fine Glitter.

Be sure you stop by the Digital Tuesday blog to see the Clearly Beautiful card elements by the rest of the team.  Show us your Clear Stuff for a chance to win some images!!

Prickley Pear Monday ~ Featuring Scalloped Ovals!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
Happy Monday!  I have another card for you featuring the 2012 Summer Clear Stamps and Dies with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!

I used the Clearly Beautiful Hibiscus 2 set stamped in Versamark Ink on Watercolor Paper.  I embossed the images with Clear Embossing Powder, colored them with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and then sprayed them with Shimmerz Baby's Breath Spritz spray.  This card uses the Hibiscus die for the flowers and leaves and the new Scalloped Oval die.

I also used the Clearly Beautiful Scalloped Oval set and stamped the sentiment and bird image with black Stazon ink.

The flower center is embellished with Glossy Accents and some clear minibeads.

Just Ducky!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
Just had to share  this cute little spring card for One Crazy Stamper!
This uses the Tulip Duck HoneyPop set from Inky Antics.  I colored my image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The gamsol melts the color pencil wax and blends for a beautifuly shaded effect.

The fun element of HoneyPop cards is that the tulip inside the card is made with a honeycomb paper pad and pops out for a 3D surprise!

Happy Mother's Day with The Rubber Cafe!

Happy Mother's Day!  Today I have a card to share for The Rubber Cafe.  This features a Tea Bag Folding fold called the Dahlia Fold and an image from the Grandma's Doilies set.  I used the lower left doily for my card.

Here is a tutorial in a photo for you!

1.  I stamped the doily with a Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor pad eight times on some lightweight designer paper.  I chose to use one with white on the back because I like the contrast and wanted white to be my accent color.  I punched the image out with a 1 1/2 inch circle punch.

2.  Fold the circle in the same orientation in half both ways. (I drew lines so it was easier to see in the photos)

3.  Then using the same orientation, fold the two bottom scallops up as shown so they touch both the vertical and horizontal fold lines.

4.  Flip your piece over and then fold the straight edges to the center, and your piece is complete.
Repeat with the next seven pieces.  (Erase any pencil lines if you drew them)

5. Assemble your medallion.  I do this on some low tack adhesive at first so you can rearrange your pieces as needed.  Then you can apply a stronger adhesive and attach your medallion to your card.

I added a Making Memories brad to the center of my medallion.  I layered it on a Spellbinders Beaded Circle Die which I embellished with Candi.

I stamped Mom from the Give Momma Some Love set and popped it up on foam tape.

Hug your mommas today if you possibly can.  We never dreamed last year on Mother's Day we wouldn't have another with my mother-in-law.  Treasure every moment!
