Summertime Fun Cards and More!

Summertime.....so many fun images for this season!  I love this little lady, so fun to color up with Copic markers.  I added lots of Stardust detailing on this one...the flowers, border, water and the little cutie herself are all touched with a bit o bling for a sweet effect!
This card is colored with Copic markers on glossy cardstock.  I used a fun Out Of The Box technique on this card to cut down on the white space surrounding this image.  The border down the left side of the card is You're So Fine glitter on tape.

I have a bit of Lilla Rose fun to share with you today as well!  My friend Debbie Fisher is reviewing a Lilla Rose flexi-clip and if you are not a registered customer with Lilla Rose, you have a chance to win one of your very own!!  Check out her post and let her know you are coming from my blog!! Good Luck!!

Come on back tomorrow for some more cards for fellas!!  Happy Tuesday!!

A Super Duo!

I have a few cards of the patriotic sort today.  This first card features an image and sentiment from Your Next Stamp.  The addition of You're So Fine Glitter and sequins is so fun!
The second card features an image from my brother's Draw Me A Daydream line.  I love the Cuttlebug star folder with this.  The fireworks are glittered up with a Stardust pen.

Thanks for popping by, hope your weekend was grand!!

Happy Birthday to me!  Today I'm sharing the day with my niece who is having her wedding shower...so many dreams are wrapped up in an unknown future...but thankful for the assurance that we don't head off into our dreams alone.

Today's cards use an image from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and is done in a variety of different soft and subtle paper.  I love the papers, the distressing and the dimension on these cards.
This car has a totally different feel with the brighter papers.

and finally this card that adds a few border punches and nailheads.

Have a happy day!!

Floral Card Set

I have a fun set of cards today featuring a Stampin' Up set.  I do not know the name of this set....and it must be my mom's because I can't find it here.  I had some bits and pieces stamped up from some long-ago stamp-a-thon we had....and I decided to work them up into a fun set of cards.  The cards have some Sakura Stardust detailing on them that you cannot see in the photo.  I also added some paper embroidery on each card to dress it up a bit.  I also added some iridescent sequins to the large flowers after I took the photo.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

This card also has the Stardust detailing and sequins added to the final card.  The saying on this one is by Penny Black.

...and same for this card.

This card uses a sentiment from Paper Inspirations.

Happy Thursday!!

Let Freedom Ring!

Let there be FiReWoRkS!  Today's card for The Rubber Cafe is a fun one with the pets all dressed up for Independence Day!  All elements on this card are from the Home of the Red, White and Blue Creative Cafe Kit.

The card is based on the silver cardstock in the kit.  The red mat pops nicely.  The fireworks in the paper collection nicely mimic the stamps in the kit!  I stamped several of the fireworks with the Scrap Happy Sheer Glue onto a piece of acetate and then glittered it with Hanukkah Blue and Patriot Red You're So Fine Glitters. I cut the acetate fireworks out and then applied them to the card and then embellishing them with the sequins in the kit.  I also used another element from the paper collection for my America banner.  I covered up the year with Let Freedom Ring for this card.

As a final pop of fun, I cut out a heart element and added a few star gems as well.

I just still love this little image from my brother's line Draw Me A Daydream.  It's the perfect image for the Grandpa's in our lives that still read the newspapers!  I paired it up with some fun newsprint paper and some up-cycled string tie clasps.  I had a few Lilla Rose merchandise bags that were too crumpled to use after a few trips through the mail, so I tore off the clasps and thought they made a perfect embellishment for this card.
The next two cards I made up for Inky Antics...I colored my images using Copic Markers and then paired them up using Darcies papers.  I love the torn kraft paper for sand and the chips Candi Dots as an embellishment.
This card also is colored up with Copic Markers and is paired with Darcies papers and Candi dots.

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Hello Baby!

Today I have a few more giraffe baby cards to share.  The image is from Whipper Snapper Designs and the sentiments are from Stampin Up!  The papers came from my scrap drawer.  Image is colored with Copic Markers.  A touch of doodling finishes off my card.
The same image, this time in blue!  The papers are from the Deja' Views Baby Boy collection by Sharon Ann.  I added a bit of fun interest to the designer paper by adding faux stitching along several of the stripes.  The collection also had some punch out pieces that I used to embellish my card.

Happiness Always...

Hi there!  Well, seems there was a bit of a blog break there!  Summertime has come and I have been enjoying the days with my kids!  There have been bike rides, walks, family visiting, Father's Day and our wedding anniversary!  Lots of good stuff!  I have been stamping away in the background, but the cards didn't make it to the blog....so I will work on getting them lined up to share here!!

This first card is one that came together out of my stash of images and verses.  I think the image is one by Stampington and Co, but I am not sure.  The verse is one that I typed up on my computer.  The image is stamped on glossy cardstock that I worked up with reinkers.  I am thinking they are Stamping Up's Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst and Bashful Blue perhaps.
This card uses pieces from Stampin Up!'s Happy Harmony and Looks Like Spring sets.  Lots of fussy cutting, but I like the look....and find cutting relaxing!  The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug.

Every Day Is A Picnic!

I have a fun summery card for you today using The Rubber Cafe's Home of the Red White and Blue Creative Cafe Kit.

For this card I wrapped a piece of white cardstock with the star vellum included in the kit.  The top and bottom edges are wrapped around the panel and taped down.

I stamped and colored the picnic basket image with Copic markers.  I fussy cut the image and cut a slit above the sandwich to stick the flag through.  I popped the basket up on foam tape so there was room for the stick behind the image.

For the sentiment piece I cut an element from the paper pad and then popped my image on top of it with foam tape.   I added a few stars and sequins and for a final touch, and ant sticker from the kit.

The Great Outdoors

I have a few more cards today using images found in my image stash.  I am not sure if this is a Stampin Up' image or not.  I applied white crayon to the sails and then used distress ink and masking to color my image.  Some copper Candi Dots, gold embossed cardstock punch and corner punches finish my card.  Paper is from a JoAnn's paper pack I think.

This second card I believe might be a Darcie's stamp.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and layered it on a Cuttlebug embossed panel.  Nice and simple.

Thanks for taking a peek!  Hope you get some time outside this weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

Loving this card for The Rubber Cafe using the Home of the Red, White and Blue Creative Cafe Kit!

The card base is the navy blue paper in the kit.  The camera does not do this card justice, but the metallic silver paper in the kit is absolutely stunning when run through an embossing folder.  I used a star folder from Cuttlebug.  The stars in the kit fit perfectly inside as an embellishment!  I added sequins in contrasting colors to each star for a pop of fun!

I stamped the united states image and then colored it with red, white and light grey Copic markers.  I fussy cut it and popped it up on foam tape to add some dimensional interest to this card.  I love the effect of the USA popped up add floating above the card panel.

The squiggly piece along the bottom was created by cutting along one of the patterned papers in the kit and then flipping it over and using the back side.  It's a fun way to get a *free* embellishment from your paper to dress up your card!

At The Lake....

I don't know who makes this image, but I am in love with it....what a perfectly calm and beautiful scene!    I colored the image with Copic Markers.  Just love the reflections in the water!!  Thinking of you is by Impression Obsession.

This stamp I believe is from Art GoneWilld.  One could easily stamp repeatedly and cut out the various layers and make a very dimensional card, but I just decided to colore this image flat after I embossed it.  The image is colored with Copic Markers.

The sentiment has been floating around here for years, but it seemed to be the perfect fit for this card.
Wishing you peace this week!

About the Dogs....

Got a request recently for a card with a blonde dog....so this is one of them...an adorable Whipper Snapper image all colored up with Copic Markers.  The card/frame are by The Paper Cut.  I used a Dotta-riffic pen in black to further frame the oval window in the card.  The image is matted and mounted on the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from From The Heart Stamps or Designed 2 Delight.  The embellishments are Newsprint Candi Dots.
Same pup, different color scheme.  This card is Chocolate Truffle and Garden Green.  The dog is colored with Copic Markers, but I applied some of the Blender Solution to the image with a washcloth to give the fur a mottled effect.  Not sure of the origin of the bones and birthday sentiment, but they were handy and went well with this image!!

Happy Tuesday, y'all!

You Touch My Life and There are Days....

I am on a Masculine card kick this week and this is an image from my stash.  I have no idea what stamp company this sentiment and image are from...if you know, pop it in comments for me!  I used masks to ink the frame and center of the image with Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold.  The paper is from a JoAnn's stack I think...it was in my scrap bin.  I matted the images on brown which matches the swirls in the paper.  The sails on the boat and clouds I hit with a white crayon before inking to keep them nice and white.

I think these images are by Whipper Snapper.  I colored them up with Copic markers and hit the scrap bin for this watery background piece!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!!

Time for some Fabulous Flowers!!

Thought I would share a few cards made with my Inky Antics stamp sets for making HoneyPOP Fabulous Flowers.  You can check out the video on YouTube to see how easy these flowers are to make! The first card uses my Simple Sentiments set as well!  Love the chalk designer paper by Darcie's Papers!!
This flower was made using the Rainbow HoneyPOP pad and I paired it up with a fun stamp from my stamp collection from childhood for a sentiment that perfectly matches!!

Let Freedom Ring!

What a fun kit this month from The Rubber Cafe!  Home of the Red, White and Blue is packed with fun papers and embellishments that compliment the stamp sets.

For this card I picked some of the fun paper included in the kit and layered it on the Navy cardstock.
I stamped the girl with Memento Ink and then colored her with Copic Markers.

You know I couldn't make a card without a bit of the You're So Fine Glitters....and so I framed both my image and my sentiment with the Patriotic Red glitter!

To frame the image I applied Scrap Happy Sheer Glue around the edge of a circle die cut just a bit larger than the image circle.  Glitter the edge and you have an easy instant frame for your image!  For the sentiment you could do the same.  I actually had a scrap of two sided tape that I used in place of the glue.

I wanted to use some of the fun glitter mesh included in the kit and I fan-folded it and attached it to my card with double sided tape.  Then I wanted my image to dance over the fabric fireworks, so I used an Action Wobbles to attach my image to the card over the mesh.

Tip:  want to change the color of the clear gems sent in the kit?  Color them with Copic markers like I did on her adorable pigtail holders!

I added a sequin over the sparkler that I touched with some of the Stardust Gel Pen.  Stars are attache to the card with pieces of Foam Squares to add a bit of dimension.

You're Grate!

How about these fun cards featuring Inky Antics stamps?  They are so fun for this time of year, perfect for masculine birthdays or Father's Day even!  This is the 10973SC BBQ Time clear set.
I colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils and blended them out with Gamsol.
The designer papers are from Darcies for both cards.
Hope you are having a great week!

Pops of Pink!

After a few days of fella cards, I had a pop of pink hit!  Funny how I tend to create in streaks!  I took a few days to play in my real flowers, think I am about set for summer here finally!  This is my favorite time of the year....grin!

This first card features a Stampin Up stamp set and the Top Note Die. I just love the springy feel with the blossoms and leaves.  I added a few iridescent sequins for a fun touch!
This card features the same set with the addition of the little black bird.  I did some doodling around the edge, added a computer-generated sentiment and embellished the card with some tiny Prima flowers with Stampendous Sparkle Heart stickers.
Finally this card features a From The Heart Stamps digital image which I colored with Copic Markers and then I dug out some Dotta Riffic pens by Zig and created this adorable dotted border to frame the image.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a fabulous week!
