Bloom Arts Clematis

Today's card features the Clematis Vine Sketch by Bloom Art Stamps.  You can find this image set on Patreon.

I colored this image with Copic markers:  B79, FV2, B66, YG67, YG17, YG25, YR16 and E44.
I added some paper embroidery around the edge after distressing the stamped panel a bit.   I love the casual yet pristine look.

I popped the sentiment onto the card with foam tape.
Cardstock on this card are Stampin Up's Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac.

I Miss Ewe!

I have been working on Prickley Pear cards today...and found this one on my desk from the last release that I never shared.  How cute are the Sammie the Sheep and  I Miss Ewe stamps?

I paired them up with some paper scraps from Darcies, a few gems and some Stardust pen accents!

A Cardmaker Magazine and Prickley Pear Blog Hop!

We are blog hopping with Cardmaker Magazine featuring Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!
My first card features the Mason Jar image and Petunia images as well as A Heartfelt Thanks.
I colored the images and fussy cut them before layering them on some dies.  The oval die is from the Riley and Co Nesting Ovals with Pierced Dots set.  The beautiful background die is Our Daily Bread's Majestic Medallion die.

For this card I stamped the Life Doesn't Have To Be Perfect image on blue vellum with Stazon ink
I cut out a frame by using two of the Riley and Co Nesting Circles with Pierced Dots dies.
I stamped the Dainty Dragonflies on acetate with Stazon ink and then did the glitter and acetate technique on the back with glitter and glue.

If you are just starting this hop, you can begin on the CardMaker blog!  Check out all of the inspiration along the way and leave some love.  There is a $20 gift certificate to be won, so be sure to hop along and check out the details on that too!

The next stop on this hop is Kat's blog!

Karen Burniston Flower Pot Pop-Up Die Card

Today's card features the new Flower Pot Pop Up Die from KB Riley!  The front of my card features the flowers and leaves from this set.  I couldn't help but use a few of the other sets as well.
Nature Edges Die set I used for the grass along the bottom of the panel.   I also use the Katherine Label Pop-Up Die as well as the Word Sets 1 and 2.

Check out this floral explosion!  I used washi tape to frame this beauty!

I used sequins to finish off the blooms!  This is a 5 x 7 inch card.

Nuvo Guilding Flake Creations!

Today's creations are made featuring Nuvo Gilding Flakes!  This first card feathers the Catherine Scanlon Heart Flower Set from Art Gone Wild.  To stamp with the Gold Gilding Flakes, simply use a Nuvo Glue Pen to apply the adhesive to the stamp.  Stamp image on black cardstock and let sit aside to dry.  While the glue is drying, immediately wash the stamp with dish soap and Goo Gone if any residue remains.  Then add gold guilding flakes to the tacky image and brush off in a circular motion with a stencil brush.

The sentiment is from the Orb Sentiments Set.

I used the WeR Memory Keepers Geometric Dimensional Embossing Folders on a creamy gold shimmery cardstock.
I used the Sun-kissed Copper Flakes with the Nicole Tamarin Butterfly Kisses Cling Set.  I used the pen to frame the sentiment.  The background is Elegant Eggplant.  I used Copper Nailheads to finish off this card.

I have a few more ideas for the gilding flakes to try out!

Karen Burniston Cupcake Pop-Up Card Meets Zendoodle!

Today's card was a fun one to make!  When I saw the frosting I just new that I had to tangle fun!  This is the new Cupcake Pop-up set by Karen Burniston in Cahoots with Riley and Company!
I love to stitch and I did some paper embroidery by hand to frame my card front. I colored the frosting with Copic markers after I tangled it.

I also used the Katherine Label Pop Up set for the labels!  I used both Word Set 1 and Word Set 2 for my card...I love having options!

...and what is better than one cupcake?  Lots of them!   More tangling and embroidery and words finish off the inside of my card.  I hope you think this turned out sweet too!

Tulip Garden in Glitter and Acetate!

And today's Bloom Art Stamps card features the Tulip Garden stamp which I dressed up with the Glitter and Acetate technique!

I stamped the image on acetate with black Stazon Ink.  Flip the image over and then add glue the darkest areas first and then glitter and move to the lighter colors.  This allows you to keep working though the glue is not dry yet.  When all has been glittered I lay mine on top of my Ott Light and let it dry, though you could just lay it out to dry overnight.   For my card I added the yellow flower centers to the front of the card for a fun dimensional touch!    I cut out the image and then attached it to some shimmery white cardstock with glue dots hidden behind the glittered bits.

Happy Thursday all!!

Beautiful Bloom Arts!

It's been a while since I have had a chance to play with the beautiful images and stamps from Bloom Art Stamps!  I am loving the flowers popping up all over in my flower gardens...and wish I could just hold on to the blooms a little bit longer.   Maybe that is why I like paper art.....I can make flowers year round!

This card features the Allium Spray image and Thinking of You from the Tulip Garden clear stamp set.  The image is colored with Copic Markers and then is fussy cut and popped up on foam tape.

What is that background, you ask?  It is one of the Geometric Embossing folders from We R Memory Keepers' Next Level collection.  The embossing is multi-dimensional....and oh, so fun!

This beauty uses the Embossed Vellum Technique with the Tulip Garden clear set.  I stamped the image onto vellum with Stazon Black Ink.  Then flip the image over and color the back of the vellum with Copic Markers.  You will want to use colors darker than you want.  I used B16, RV66, RV55, V09, V06, G28, YG17, YR18.

Once you are done coloring, burnish the little blue flowers and buds and parts of the tulips gently with an embossing stylus.  Flip it over when you are done.  Then touch up the blue buds on the front of your vellum to bring back some of the blue color.  I also hit the embossed areas on tulips on the front of the vellum so they blend in a bit since the embossing turns the vellum white.

I attached the vellum to my card with glue dots hidden behind the blue flowers and buds.

What is your favorite type of flower?  I do love allium and tulips, but right now it's iris...they are gorgeous and only bloom for a short time!  I have yellow and peach and purple this year!

KB Riley's Katherine Label Pop Up Die!

Congrats!!!  Have you heard?  KBRiley is open for orders!!  I have another sweet card today usingg some of the newly released sets!!

I used several of the dies from the Nature Edges Die Set.  I used the reverse pieces of the cloud die to make a fun card edging...this would be adorable for a baby card!  The strip he is standing on I simply fussy cut an edge to make this grounding strip so Mr Fox wasn't floating in the middle of nowhere!

The fox is from Woodland Animals Die Set.

I love the Katherine Label Pop Up Die Set as well...such a fun shape to embellish!

and here you will see more of the cloud pieces both positive and negative edges to create a fun heavenly boarder.  I used washi tape to dress up the middle of my card. ..and check out the fun pop out!

Finally, my favorite new word dies!  Word Set 1 Greetings Die Set

I will have some more cards featuring this release coming along shortly!  Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

It's Been A Banner Week.....

It's been a banner week around here!  Forty-eight hand stitched banners made from vintage's been fun!

These will go live at the piano teacher's fun!

Last year's project was a fun one too!  Distressed sheet music with various Distress Inks and then she traced all of her student's hands.  I cut out all those tiny and not so tiny fingers!
Made a jumbo flower.  The student's names are on the center of the flower.    Such fun when I can combine both music and paper!!
