Faux Sea Glass

I love the colors of this card....I made faux sea glass!! This is a take-off on the Faux Leather technique. Instead of using the masking tape, I ran a strip of paper through my xyron machine. then I applied torn vellum in white, blue and aqua in a random fashion. I covered the surface with versamark and then clear embossed a few times. This makes it shiny and gives it the appearance of sea glass in real life.

I trimmed it to size and used it as a frame for my sand dollar stamp. This stamp is Sand Dollar Collage by Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The larger image is a retired SU! stamp. The sea tag and star fish stamps are by My Sentiments Exactly! I cuttle-bugged the Soft Sky cardstock. The sand dollars are accented with Copic #E40 Brick White.
