Walnut Stain Distress Stickles

This is a card I made using Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain Distress Stickles. I'm not usually a stickle girl....I like my Art institute Glitter....but I must say I had fun using it on this card. I ran my background panel through a cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I squirted huge dallops of stickles on it and with my finger, covered the surface. The nature of the stuff left more glitter here and there...and less other places...but it is a cool effect.

I had picked up these *rusted* metal pine trees from a rummage sale and they looked too faky since they were just painted...but since I liked the shape, I went ahead and covered them with the stickles too. after they dried, they also have a fun distressed appearance.

The image is from Northwoods and is gorgeous colored up in Copic Markers.

Beautiful card, if one can say that of a masculine card, but it really is. It has so much dimension and texture.
