This image has inspired me to pull out an old wash tub that I inherited from my grandma. I've been wanting to plant flowers in it for years....about 12 to be exact! Today I dumped the kid's toys out of it and Monday it will be my very own flower tub!! ....did I mention I *love* this image?!
Hope you are all enjoying the Memorial Day weekend.

Happy Friday! It is time for a new hOt SpOt ChAlLeNgE with Studio 313 Creations! Our third challenge focuses on the TOP SELLING ALBUMS OF ALL TIME.
Shawne found the stats on the top 10 selling albums ever. Can you guess them all?!
The challenge is to take either the artist, album, or one of the number one songs from the album and create a card inspired by it!
You have a broad range to pick from and interpret it any way you like! Check out the details here! Be sure to play along....Shawne is offering gift certificates to her store for some lucky players!!! Have fun and good luck!!!
My card details:
I'm using the new Vertie image that will be in the store very soon....this one comes pre-colored and is adorably sweet! I thought it was perfect for the Eagles song *Take It Easy!*
I layered the image on another piece of white cardstock, scuffing the edges to mimic the rug and the bubbles in the tub. I had this designer paper on my desk from a recent project....and it just made me think she might have some pink jammies to *hop* into when she's done *taking it easy!* The ribbon is actually vintage double fold bias tape. I paired it with a felt die cut flower and a vintage button blinged up with a Dress It Up glitter dot. It's not evident in the photo, but the bubbles are glittered up with a clear Spica Glitter Pen.
Thanks for taking a look! We can't wait to see what YOU come up with!

I'm loving the cupcakes that are all the rage this year....this one is from Studio 313 Creations. I chose the vintage papers for this card. I used Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and faux stitching to age my card. The image is colored with Copic Markers and accented with a Spica Glitter Pen.
I had cut the cherry designer paper in a fun shape and *tied* it to the card with faux stitching and a ribbon. The button is vintage and has cherries on it...how cool is that?! I created a fun sentiment tag with Stampin Up punches and a Nestibilities Fancy Tag.

If you can play along with our challenge, check out the rules and prize info here.
I used Emma Blowing Bubbles from Fred, She Said Designs for my card this week. I loved her as soon as I saw her...so nestled her in a pierced frame topped off with some butterflies. I have a little girl about that age....and she loves bubbles and butterflies! (This image also comes in a pre-colored version)

perfect for any occasion...not just a birthday!
I used paper piecing on this card, topped of with a dusting of bugle bead sprinkles! YUM!
Another fun part of this set is all of the little goodies that come with it! You get a little cherry, strawberry, heart, candle, daisy, FOUR types of sprinkles and the little rose that I used here.
Very, very versatile!

I used Tracey's new Emma in the Strawberry Patch digi set. I printed the image on matte photo paper and colored it with the Copic Markers shown below. I airbrushed the sky and ground.
I created a frame for Emma using the largest Label Four Nestibilities Die. I used a Nestibilities Fancy Tag for my A Muse sentiment. The large felt strawberry from American Crafts was the perfect embellishment, and my color inspiration.

It is my challenge this week, and I want to see some
Use Vellum on your card in some way, and you don't necessarily have to print your digi on it.
You may use any company image as long as it's digital!
Our fabulous sponsor this week is
Digital Stamp Oasis
The winner gets to choose 3 digis from the etsy store. You can see many gorgeous cards made by the Digital Stamp Oasis (past) Designers by clicking the link below.
Digital Stamp Oasis Gallery Blog.
I used the Polka-Dot Flowers from Fred, She Said which I printed on Chartham Translucent Vellum which is made for High Resolution Color Ink Jet printers. I printed the images as 2 5x7 sheets and cut the largest flowers out leaving a narrow border. I folded each petal over my craft knife to add dimension and then layered them on one off the flower die cuts from Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals Dies. The element on the top of the card is the end of a Nestibilities Fancy Tag...love the wrought iron look it gives. May Arts Ribbon and Martha Stewart butterfly punches pair up with a Wordsworth sentiment to finish the card. I love this designer paper by BasicGrey that I picked up at Archivers....it's a whole pad of Kraft colored designer papers! Fun for masucline cards OR flowers!!

I had one more of these glittery tulips from The Rubber Cafe on my desk...and I just had to pair it up with cuttlebug's paisley embossing folder. Lightly sanding the embossing makes the design pop. I dressed up my photocorner punches with little punched butterflies! Hope spring is happening wherever you are!!

Psycadelic prints are hot! This week the Studio 313 hot spot challenge is to be inspired by bold color and bold playful patterns, so just be bold! Shawne gathered up some photographs to inspire you and get those creative juices flowing.
Once again there will be a random drawing for 25.00 worth of products from the Studio 313 Exclusive Creations digi store, spend it now or later! You have 2 weeks to play in the challenge, you can combine it with any other challenge, it doesn't have to be a Studio 313 digi (but you can definitely use it if you have one!) Read how to play along in our challenge HERE. Hope you can find some time to play!
I used the adorable Molly Clowning Around image one more time....she is a hoot to color and I immediately thought of this designer paper from BasicGrey's Lime Rickey Collection! Thanks for taking a peek!

If you haven't been to his store for a while be sure to check it out! Lots of new ones added for 2010.
I used images from Shawne at Studio 313. This adorable little lady makes me grin...with all her frills and curls! I colored her up with Copic Markers: E00, E02, E57, E47, B41, R85, YG97.
The designer paper is from Pink Paislee, and it matches perfectly with SU!'s Always Artichoke.

I just received these fun stamps from The Rubber Cafe, which are so fun! This card was a fun Mother's Day card...but it would also be perfect for birthdays or notes throughout the year!
I colored my image with Copic Markers and doodled a frame. The designer paper is from Making Memories. I played with some scoring on the Martha Stewart lace piece so it mimics the stripes in the designer paper.
If you are interested, please email Melissa here, since these images are not yet up in the store!
Hope you mother's out there had a nice Mother's Day yesterday....know I did!

We have another great sponsor this week
To be in with a chance of winning, be sure to check out all of the challenge rules HERE.
For my card I chose to use the new Hey Sweet Thang release from Studio 313, which can be found in the kitchen portion of the store. I used Shawne's Card on a Sheet Template, a quick and easy way to print off the elements you need for a card. I chose to use her pre-colored images, and I used all but one strip of the designer paper provided on the sheet. I accented my sentiment with a Copic Spica Glitter Pen. The white pierced strip in the middle is actually a piece of the border surrounding the papers on the sheet! I love the color scheme and happy feel of this card...hope you do too!!
