One of a Kind

Well....now that I've been working with this set for a bit I'm finally warming up to it a bit. I wondered for a bit if I was sorry I thought I wanted it....but I guess I'll keep it!! LOL!

The base is Chocolate Chip cardstock. The next layer is Purely Pomegranite that has been *squished.* That is a technique that I just made up! You see....I don't buy the *in color* ink pads...I only let myself buy the paper and an occasional reinker. So...when I want to stamp with an in color I just drop reinkers onto a wet wipe and make a funky pad. That is what I did to get the pomegranite flowers. Then when I was cleaning up my mess I always hate the waste and tonight I wondered what it would look like squished onto cardstock...so I squished several pomegranite panels and it actually looks a little like suede! I then continued squishing on some white cardstock...and then on my pomegranite flowers. The *stuff* in the wipes kind of gives the flowers a watercolored look. I like!!

The ribbon is by SU! as is the tan designer paper strip. The Marvy scallop circle punch is the pink one. I pierced around the edge but left it with no stitching or distressing this time.
Thanks for stopping by!!

What a great technique you came up with. I love the two colors together. I may have to experiment with that color scheme.
love it!!!! I don't know why I am not getting ALL the updates. It's kinda like blogger is hitting and missing. It's not just your blog though.
Stunning! What a fabulous layout & I love how you did those flowers. Homemade babywipe d.p. is THE coolest idea! You are SO inspiring; you're making me warm up to this set!!! :0)
