Something Old and Something New~

Another dove card....you know me...I get on a roll and then you see a few cards with the same stamp for a bit! This card was for a color challenge....blues, greens, teal and white. We also had to use pop dots...the dove is raised up. And we had to use something *green*....I used several things. My flower is recycled, my button and the seam tape are both vintage, and the netting is leftover from some wedding birdseed thingys. Another fun thing to note is the leaf swirls are actually parts of the dove stamp! I stamped the dove on some irridescent green cardstock and then cut them out...they pop up a bit like a real vine would.

The something new would be From the Heart and the Swirled Dove from The Rubber Cafe....it is so fun to stamp and embellish. This time I used transparent glitter from Art Institute. I'd tell you the color if I could find the container in my mess! The scalloped punch is my Martha Stewart Doily Lace one that I finally found at Walmart. Now I see MORE at Michael's...argh! The little diamond thingys are from Martha Stewart's line as well.

A touch of Faux Stitching to *finish off* the card. The designer paper is by NRN Designs. The blue base of the card is some very shimmery stuff as well. I'm not sure of the source.
Thanks for taking a peek!

I've seen that punch used quite a bit, but I think this is the most effective use of it I've seen. That gorgeous edge really pops on this card. This card is just amazing! Stunning!!

Very pretty. I love the use of the swirls in a different way.
