Designed2Delight Applique Tree

The freebie image for Faith's progressive challenge at Designed2Delight is this cute Appliqued Tree image! I knew the moment I saw it that I wanted to do paper piecing. As I was digging in my stash for the tree, grass and tree trunk papers I ran across this fun paper that is shimmery blue and and flocked clouds on it! Just perfect for what I had in mind!

I printed the images 3 times, once on each green paper and once on the brown. Then I cut out the images and layered them back together on the cloud paper. I added some gems for an informal frame to my image.

The tiny sentiment is from Endless Creations (CC18). There are four of the tiniest sentiments that are perfect for tight spots!
