Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge!
Welcome to Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp's new monthly sketch challenge! Check out all of the challenge information and inspiration on the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp's Blog. I can tell you that you have until the end of them month to play along for a fabulous prize.....a clear set AND the coordinating die for one random winner!
I chose to go vintage with my take on the sketch! I chose the Old Fashion Sewing Machine and the
Threads of Friendship images for my card.
I stamped my image on white cardstock and cut it out with a circle Spellbinder's die. I then distressed the circle with Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and layered it onto a scalloped circle Spellbinder's die. I hand stitched a delicate frame with pink embroidery floss and accented my frame with adhesive pearls.
I used the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents die for my border strip. I cut off all but one of the Fleur De Lis accents to fit the sketch and accented it with pearls.
What better to use for designer paper than BasicGrey's Sweet Threads collection, prima flowers and vintage buttons. My sewing machine is accented with Spica Glitter Pens.
