Something New Part 2!

I promise I'm not going all Zentangle doodly here...but after completing the large pieces I shared yesterday I needed to make this new passion fit what I DO, which is to make cards!  I had some pre-cut cards on hand from The Paper Cut which I used as a basis for my card sketch for this set of cards.

They were white glossy, however and that did not look good, so I traced them on black cardstock for the perfectly centered window and then trimmed a bit off of the outside edges so I have a black frame that I can layer on a gray cardstock panel.  I roughed up the edges a bit with my distressing tool.

These cards will be perfect for any occasion.  I could pop a sentiment on them and use them for birthdays or graduations.  Or, I will likely just write or stamp inside of the card to fit the occasion if I don't want to cover up the tangles.

What is so interesting to me is how these tiny canvases (3 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches) and a black pen and a pencil can turn into something that is so interesting to look at!

Also interesting is that there are so many patterns that look so complicated, but when broken down are really not difficult at all!
Thanks for your kind comments on my first attempts yesterday.  And, while I won't be posting tangles every day, they may pop up occasionally.  I have another card style in my head that needs to happen!
