Swirled Dove and Floral Heart
This card has been floating around on my desk for a bit here. I saw this awesome tutuorial and had to give it a shot! What a fun new way to use corner punches!!! I punched mine out and embellished it with pearls and black metal dot stickers. The flower portion of each punched image is also popped up on a bit of foam tape for dimension. The Swirled Dove is by http://www.therubbercafe.com/ and has been stamped on acetate and then glittered on the back with Art Institute Glitter. They are layered on some embossed vellum over black cardstock.
The Love medallion is actually the Swirled Love stamp from http://www.therubbercafe.com/ that has been stamped and punched out with a marvy scallop punch on white shrink plastic. I punched 1/4 inch holes for the ribbon, dotted each scallop with a sharpie marker and then shrunk it. I used the dotted swiss Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the black panel, cut out a 3 1/2 inch circle to insert my punched frame into. I *borrowed* my mom's corner punch...I'm gonna definately try out some more of these!
These pieces have been sitting on my desk for a bit too. I stamped the floral heart by http://www.therubbercafe.com/ onto some printed vellum. I colored it with sharpies and At You Spica Glitter Pens and adhered it to a wood and metal plaque that I found at Michaels. I further embellished the heart with half-pearls in various sizes. The bows are vintage and Martha Stewart. (The heart isn't currently on their new web site...but if you're interested, just email Melissa and tell her you saw it here!)
