Glittery Medallion
I'm not sure what it is....but I love making square cards. Maybe it's because they can be symmetrical and I seem to like that. This card uses a large celtic rosette from http://www.therubbercafe.com/. I stamped it with Stazon ink on acetate. Then with Art Institute glitters (100. Sea Shell, 208. Fauna, 119. Cranberry), I glittered the back of the acetate. This produces a really glitzy card with none of the mess that usually comes with glitter. I glue-dotted the rosette to a circle of ecru cardstock.
The red layer is actually a scrap of photo paper that I applied Tim Holtz's alcohol inks to. (Cranberry and Espresso) I then dabbed a bit of alcohol on it to further break up the inks. I distressed the edge of the panel with black stazon ink.
The white layer has been edged with Fiskar's Threading Water edge punch. Ribbon is by May Arts and is gorgeous!
If you haven't been to The Rubber Cafe recently...check it out....there is a ton of new stuff in the store! Happy browsing!
