Gylden Eagle

gild (gild) v.t. to overlay with gold-leaf or gold-dust; to make gold in color; to brighten; to give fair appearance to; to embellish [O.E. gylden].

That is what I did to this eagle from The Rubber Cafe. I stamped the image on acetate with Stazon, cut it out, ran it through my Xyron Sticker Machine and then applied the multi-colored leafing to the back.

Happy birthday is by savvystamps, the journal block is by BasicGrey. I used a metallic rub-on to make the sentiment panel slightly metallic as well.

The metallic carstock I got from a paper vendor at a scrapbook show, and it looks neat run through the cuttlebug folder. That fellow was quite amazed that all of us crazy women would snatch up his paper like that, guess he wasn't used to scrapbookers and stampers! LOL! I faux stitched to finish the card off.
