Tangled Up In Blue

I made this card for Fred She Said Designs using the challenge at Stampin' For The Weekend as my inspiration. We were to use a song title as our inspiration, and one of the suggestions was Tangled Up In Blue, and though I don't know the song, I love the ribbon feel of Tracy's Stained Glass Floral Doodle-dallion design.

I colored the image with blue Copics, B23 Phthalo Blue and B39 Prussion Blue, to be exact. Then I cut out areas of the medallion so I could layer it on glitter paper and have more contrast.

A Martha Stewart butterfly punch and the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder dressed up the center of my medallion. Adhesive pearls are the finishing touch. Base cardstocks are black and Ballet Blue by SU!

Wow Michelle, fab card using Tracey's medallion. I've not used that one yet, and the butterfly certainly sets it all off too, love the dark contrast of the glitter paper behind it and the addition of the pearls in the corners. Thanks for taking part this week at Stampin' for the Weekend.

OMG!!! Michelle this is so lovely, the colours are very striking, fab layout and how much patience you must have to cut out parts of the flower, cutting out isn't my strong point but you have done a fantastic job. I love the lil butterfly in the centre and the pretty lil gems on each corner. Thank you for taking part with this weeks challenge over at SFTW, good luck xx vicki xx
