Welcome to the Farmer's Market Blog Hop!

The Pick of the Crop is at the Farmer's Market

Good Morning Everyone! ....and a fine morning it it to check out the Cream of the Crop at our Farmer's Market Blog Hop with Embellish-Online.com! Summer is coming to a close and there are lots of new products and ideas to harvest!

At this Farmer's Market the venders are offering up some dynamite designer papers, spectacular stamps, beautiful bunches of flowers, rockin' ribbons and just about every embellishment you could ever want! BasicGrey has Lemonade, and it's wonderful!! Don't forget, the Early Bird gets the worm! Whoo Hoo!

A little gift package has been put together by the various vendors which will be awarded to one lucky person! Nope, its not tomatoes, corn or carrots! It's a special collection of American Crafts, May Arts Ribbon and Thickers!

Here is a little ditty by Cindy to tell you how to qualify:

Hey Diddle, Diddle...
You have to Solve a Riddle...

Hop like a Frog.....
To each and every blog....

Then you can Park It...
At the Farmer's Market....

Put your answer in your post....
And the Winner we will toast!

The Riddle:

What is black, sings at night, the latest rage and ends up glued to a page??

Farmer's Markets are just so much fun....there are flowers....and families....and fun food! I decided to make a cookbook of our family's favorite recipes! What a fun idea to gift a new bride, a collection of tried and true recipes for her to get started with! I'm making some for our children....I'm going to add a little background info about each recipe, so they will not only get our family's favorites, but a bit of their mom's hobby and a little recipe history thrown in there!

This is a Bo Bunny chipboard album that holds 6x6 inch chipboard pages. I altered the cover using Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird Crafting Kit. I used a chipboard sticker and circle-punched some of the designer papers for embellishments. Thickers are are a favorite, and fun to use for part of the title!

I used faux stitching on every page to unify the album. Some pages feature distressing as well to mimic an old well-loved cookbook! I created pockets so I can tuck multiple recipes in each page.

The pocket image is from the Cut-Apart Element Sheet. It is double-sided, so you get LOTS of options! I printed the recipes on Very Vanilla Cardstock, laminated them and left them un-embellished so they will be easy to read.

This page combines the designer paper, chipboard stickers and cut-apart elements. A fun touch is the cuttlebug embossing that is reminiscent of the old tin tiles. I highlighted the embossing with a Fresco Chalk Pad - Medici Marble. The arrow has an ad for an apple corer - how cool is that?!

For this page I embellished one of the cut-apart elements....I added the dots, the faux stitching, distressing and I cut out the litte coffee cups! The recipe tabs are chip stickers!

These cut-apart elements just had to go together....and what better, than with pancakes?! I just love the bird and the sun with the rise & shine!

So, that is what I've got for you today here at my *booth!* I will be posting more of the pages as I finish them....I'll have soups, salads and side dishes soon.

Be sure to finish *hopping* to the rest of the desingn team's blogs! Julie's booth is your next stop!
