CropStop Challenge ~ Rosettes!
Happy Thursday to you! It's time for a new CropStop challenge....and this week's challenge is Rosettes! Be sure you check out the CropStop blog for all of the challenge details and inspiration from the design team!
I have a special coupon code for my blog followers:
THANKS! Coupon Code CTMP-01 saves my readers 10%!
I bought this beautiful May Arts Sheer Ruffle Ribbon...and when I thought about making a rosette, what could I do but make a froofy one?! To make the base for my flower, I punched a 1 1/4 inch circle out of cardstock and another out of Scor Tape. I attached them together so I had a sticky circle base. I started on the outer edge and continuously wrapped and crimped my ribbon, ruffling it as desired to form my rosette. I continued to spiral inward, ending in the center. I covered my rosette center with a vintage button.
I framed my rosette with a vintage buckle that is shaped like a flower. The papers I used are from BasicGrey's Sweet Threads Collection. A touch of distressing and faux stitching finished my design.
