For my card, I went with the new pre-colored Cala Lilies with Sentiments set.  I printed the image on matte photo paper so that the colors were very brilliant.  Next, I ran the image through a Xyron sticker machine, burnished and removed the protector sheet.  I covered the sticky surface with You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Hightlight glitter from The Rubber Cafe.  I burnished the glitter into the tape and then fussy cut the flower.
To finish my card, I popped the floral image up on foam tape on a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval Die that I pierced for some added interest.  The embossing folder is Trendy Braiding by cArt-Us and is available at CropStop. Prickley Pear THURSDAY!

It's been a crazy-busy week here....with some CHA and other deadlines looming....but I had time to make some fun masculine cards using the NEW Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps image called Vintage Cars ATC.

For this first card I stamped the image on some GCD Studios Antiquities paper.  I tore the definition of Jorney out of some Hot Off The Press papers from the Classic Creative Pack.

For the embossed panel, I embossed the cArt-Us  Brick Wall embossing folder on some platinum metallic coated cardstock.  I sanded the panel and applied some black ink over the top.

I stamped the diamond design from PPRS and Happy Birthday from the Clearly Beautiful Butterflies 2 set.
Metallic Candi embellishments finish my card.

This second card is similar, except I used an ivory metallic coated cardstock.  When I sanded this after embossing, it gave me a fun sueded look which is really fun IRL.

I embellished with some linen thread and a Making Memories brad.

You can see what the other PPRS design team members have been up to by checking out the Prickely Pear Blog!  Enjoy!

Swinging Shannon

Today I have a fun summer image from High Hopes called Swinging Shannon for my One Crazy Stamper post.

I colored my image with Copic markers and then fussy cut her leaving a narrow white border.  I popped the image up on foam tape inside the frame for dimension.  Sure to put a smile on any little girl's face!

Be sure to stop by and see all of the fabulous High Hopes images Lora has added to the store!

Window Garden

The Rubber Cafe's Window Garden set made it to my house this week....and onto my stamp desk!

I stamped the window image on cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers: W7, W5, W3, W1.  I colored the flowers with the following Copic Markers:  E44, G46, G24, RV66, RV55, V04.

I stamped the widow a second time on acetate with Stazon ink so I could cut out the windows and make my windows *glass*.  I used One and Only Tape for this home improvement!
Check out my lacy sheers inside my window!  I stamped the Grandma's Doilies image with Moonlight White Brilliance Ink onto some green vellum...and got my embroidered sheers!

Flowers are fussy cut and popped up on foam tape for dimension.  I'll save my sentiment for the inside of the card...and am planning on using one from the Friends stamp set.

The embossing folder is by cArt Us and is embossed on some coated pearlescent paper which I then sanded for a distressed and textural detail.

Happy Sunday all!

Yummy Delights

This is one of two posts today, so be sure to scroll for more inspiration!
This card features the new Yummy Delights Digital Papers Set by Bearly Mine Designs featuring Fred, She Said's Digital Images.  This set includes 29 papers around the fruity theme.

I printed my papers out in two different sizes on matte photo paper...this makes the inks very brilliant and beautiful.  I paired the papers up with the pre-colored Blue Jay and Raspberries image which I fussy cut and popped up on foam tape over a frame from the Spring Flowers Frame and Paper Pricking set which I also fussy cut.

Delight in Life is from a Stampin' Up! set and the butterflies are fussy cut from some 6x6 designer papers.  My only embellishment is a piece of seam binding that matches perfectly!

Fred, She Said Designs is sponsoring a challenge on the Bearly Mine Designs blog pop on over there to see more flowery inspiration!

Digital Tuesday - Tag Challenge

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
Today's Digital Tuesday Challenge is to use a TAG on your creation!  This is a fun way to give your focal point a bit more POP!

I went with an adorable image from Designed2Delight called Monkey Around. I airbrushed my tag that I cut out around one monkey image.  Next I stamped it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the SU! Linen Background stamp for texture.  I pierced and stitched the tag border for a bit more detail.

I colored a second monkey image with Copic Markers:  G28, G24, E49, E47, E44, E43, R37, R20, Y35, Y21.  I fussy cut this monkey and attached it over the first monkey with glue dots for some added dimension.

The bananas and sentiment are from Inky Antics and the alphabet is by EK Success.

This little card is for an adorable babe of 1 week who faced a heart surgery today.  Hopefully it won't be long and he'll be swingin' on home with his parents from the Children's Hospital.

If you wish to see more tag inspiration or the details to play along with a chance to win some digital goodies....hop on by the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog!!

Summer's Sweetness!

Today's post for One Crazy Stamper features Summer's Sweetness.  This adorable summer-y image is by High Hopes.
For the background I used the Copic Airbrush and the image is colored with Copic Markers. Love the look of the airbrush on the Nestabilities.  Designer Papers by Cloud9 Design and American Crafts Baby Collection.

And just because she's so is another take:
For this card I used a different color pallet and a touch of faux stitching to add some detailing.  Isn't it amazing what changing the colors does to an image?!
The butterflies are from Flitter~American Craft's Backyard Collection...I love them! The lower border punch is Fiskar's Threading Water Punch. Thanks for taking a peek!

Be sure to pop on by the store to see what's's always a good excuse to grab a cuppa and sit a bit!   Enjoy!

You're Soooooooooooo FINE!!

Today's Rubber Cafe creation is full of You're So Fine Glitters....six of them to be exact!  They are beautifully brilliant and oh, sooooooo FINE!
I covered a piece of the Faber-Castell packaging from our hop last week with some Scor-Tape.  I burnished it with some Diamond Clear Cool Highlight glitter for a fun card element.  You bet you'll see more of this packaging....way too cool for my recycling man!!

I stamped the Lace Flower and Small Paisley Dragonfly images with Stazon ink onto acetate.  The neat thing about that is that you can flip your images so they are oriented any way you wish.  Apply your glue and glitter to the backside of your image and let dry.  Once dry you can cut out the images leaving a narrow acetate border....easy peasy!

I attached my images to my card with Glue Dots which will not show after your glitter has dried.

Our Craft Lounge Color Challenge!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
This week's challenge on the Our Craft Lounge Blog is a color challenge!  Kraft, Light Blue and White would be the pallet!

I used a piece of designer paper I found in my stash that has a touch of light blue with a kraft and white linen texture.  I went with the Thankful Flourishes set which I stamped on some designer paper from Hot Off The Press that is in tones of kraft.  I fussy cut the flowers, and attached them with glue dots and foam tape along the bottom of the card for some dimension.  A touch of white gel pen and a couple of Martha Stewart punched butterflies brings in the white a bit more.   My final touch is some faux stitching.

If you are inspired by this challenge, please join in the fun and check out the details here!

Fred She Said Design Team Showcase

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!

Welcome to the Fred She Said Design Team Showcase!  Tracey-Lynn is introducing the new Fred, She Said Design Team with a fun blog hop!  Check out the details at the end of my post.

For my card I used the Dragonfly Flower Doodledallion Set.  I colored my image with Copic Markers:  RV69, RV66, RV63, G46, G43.

I framed my doodledallion with the paper pricking pattern from the Diamond Rose With Paper Pricking Pattern Set.  Instead of pricking the dots, I simply *dotted* them with the Faber-Castell Green Metallic Pitt Artist Pen.  This is gives it a subtle sheen, and great effect.

My final embellishments are Martha Stewart butterfly punches, Candi embellishments and gems.

Fred She Said is giving away a $25 GC to their store to a random blog commenter :) Please leave a comment on this post for a chance to win. CropStop Banners Challenge!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!!
This week's CropStop challenge was to use banners on our project.  It came at a perfect time since we had a *banner day* at our house this week.  My daughter has been waiting IMpatiently for the chance to head off to school with her brother.   She is enrolled in 3 weeks of summer school before she hits Kindergarten this fall, so we just had to document this big day banner-style!

Fancy Pants ~ Celebrate by Michelle Coleman  ~ Make Merry #642
Spellbinders ~ Nested Lacey Pennants
Stampin Up ~ Butterfly of Happiness
Making Memories ~ Simply Stated Providence Alphabet Rub-On Letters
DMC Embroidery Floss
SU! Piercing Template/Piercing Tool
American Crafts Thickers
Sanding Block
White Embossing Powder
Blue Vellum
Stampin Up ~ Pear Pizzazz Cardstock

I was in the mood to stitch, so stitch I did...I bordered my 12x12 sheet with white stitching.  I also stitched around my pennants with blue floss.

Be sure you check out our along for your chance to win some crafty goodness!

Prickley Pear Card Duo!

This is one of two posts today, scroll for more inspiration!
Prickley Pear Monday is coming to your four days late on my blog this week!  A summer cold that won't leave me, doctor's appointments for the kids and some errands have kept me on the run, but I found some time in my studio last evening....and loved every minute of it!

My first card features the Ladybugs and Mushrooms image.  I colored the image with the following Copic markers:  E47, E44, E43, W7,W5, B06, G46, G43, Y38, R39, R37, R35, R22.  I distressed the edges of the image with Tim Holtz' Distress Inks in Tumbled Gleass and Shabby Shutters.  I framed the image with a touch of doodling.

The image is layered on some designer paper that I distressed with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  I did some Paper Embroidery to frame my card.  The sentiment comes from the Clearly Beautiful Butterflies set.
My second card features the Nesting Finches image which I colored with the following Copic Markers:  E49, E47, E44, N0, Y38, Y35, Y32, R39, R35, R32, W7, W5, W3, G46, G43, B91.

I used a more artsy approach to coloring the background on this one and flicked color out from the image in the blues and greens.  After the image was colored, I also used some Copic Colorless Blender Various Ink on a piece of terry cloth to add texture to the entire panel.  This gives it a texutred *painted* look.

I layered the image on a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square die that is layered on some Creative Imaginations Banana Paper.  I added some brown felt flower s along the bottom embellished with Candi.  The tone-on-tone background is the perfect background to make this image pop.  Photographing this combination wasn't the easiest....but IRL it is very pretty.

~Sentimental Flower Doodledallion Set
~Lovely Flower and Butterfly Coulored Decoupage set

I colored my image with Copic markers:  G46, G43, R37, R35, R32, E49. Finally, I embellished with Candi.

Dad's Catch

Today I'm sharing a card for One Crazy Stamper using High Hopes' stamp Dad's Catch.

I colored the image with Copic Markers:  E47, E44, E43, E11, YG97, YG95, B97, B95, R59, R56, W5, W3, BG10, B000.

Image is cut out with Spellbinders' Deckle Rectangle and distressed with Tim Holtz' Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  I embellished my card with some linen thread and Candi embellishments.

I have a Rubber Cafe creation for you today....and I have continued to be inspired by the Faber-Castell/Rubber Cafe combination.

If you follow my won't be surprised to see the Leaf Swirls image in use again. I tried a third technique using the Gelatos...and this time I lightly misted my stamp, applied the Cotton Candy Gelato randomly and then touched the edges of the image with the Grape Gelato.  Mist the image lightly again and stamp onto your colored cardstock.  Repeat as necessary to cover your panel.

Next I ran the panel through the BigShot with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder that mimics the design.
I spritzed my craft mat with water and then dampened my Silver Gelato.  I ran this gently over the embossing to make it pop.
For some added interest, I used a simple Paper Embroidery stitch and some DMC metallic floss to attach my embossed panel to my silver metallic cardstock.  I do not use a template for this...I just try to keep my holes evenly spaced.

Inspire is from the Words of Inspiration image that I stamped up the other day using the Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen Big Brush in Cobalt Blue and highlighted with the Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen Blue Metallic. To achieve the watery look I brushed some of that Silver Gelato/water over it and it pulled the blues for a very fun effect!

Here you can see the Seahorse With Fish image which I colored with the following Copic Markers:
R35, R32, BG57, BG53, BV04, BV02, T2, G46, G43.  After I colored the image with the markers, I then brushed some of that magical Silver Gelato/water mixture over them, giving the sea horse and fish and grass a subtle sheen.  LOVE!

I finished off my card with some silver Candi embellishments.

Hopefully with all of the lovely creations shared on the blog hop you will be as inspired as I am to play with Gelatos and Rubber Cafe stamps!

Your Friendship Warms My Heart

Happy Friday!  It's been a week around here....caught a summer cold....double UGH!  Perked up enough to go strawberry picking on Thursday, first day of summer vacation for the kiddos....we made 5 batches of freezer jam and about 22 quarts of strawberries!  Yummo!!  Today it was warm enough to hop in the pool for the first time...the nice hot weekend will warm things up considerably!

Today's card features a punch or die cut that I found on my desk...I layered it on some ScoreTape and then covered it with You're So Fine Glitter in Diva Pink.  I popped that onto a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents Die adorned with some Jellie Dots in Diva Pink.

The border of this card comes from my new Inky Antic's Beautiful Borders HoneyPoP clear set, 11104MC.  This is a fun way to add a pop of color to your card that is flat for mailing and fun to look at!  Simply stamp the shape stamp onto the HoneyPoP paper pad as indicated, cut out and spread for a beautiful border.  I dressed mine up a bit more with some baker's twine.

The sentiment comes from my new Inky Antics Simple Sentiments clear set, 11103SC that has 17 phrases that can be mixed and matched for outside/inside of cards and for different occasions from hello, missing you, sympathy, friendship, thanks in a fun font.  They are sized small so they can fit into a variety of  card designs.

Monochromatic Craft Concepts Card Duo!

This week's challenge on the CropStop blog is monochromatic cards.  I have two for you today that also feature the very fun new Crafts Concepts embossing folders.

The first card features the Crafts Concepts Bees Delight embossing folder.  I decided to go *un-bee-ish* for my theme.  I embossed the acetate panel from the packaging and love the alternate design I got...a chevron/diamond stripe!  How cool is that?!

I simply attaced my acetate panel to some eggplant cardstock with glue dots hidden behind the Candi Dots embellishments and sentiment.

The focal image is from Cuttlebug's Mini Embossing Folders - Birthday Jelly set.
For my second card today, I used Craft Concept's Tall Trees Embossing Folder.

I also used the packaging acetate for this card.  First I painted the back with some Making Memories Honeydew Scrapbook Colors paint.  Once dry, I ran the piece through the Big Shot with the paint side down.  I could have reversed this and then sanded the tree's lightly....but for this piece I went for a more muted embossed look, I liked the streaked paint.

This card is embossed with some Candi Dots embellishments and ribbon.  Stamps are from SU!'s Trendy Trees set and went well with this embossing folder.

THANKS! Coupon Code CTMP-2 saves my readers 10% on their ENTIRE ORDER!!!  Enjoy!!

We would love to see you play along with our challenge.  Some lucky participant will receive some free goodies!

~Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft

Today Faber-Castell is world renowned for its high quality, professional art supplies in the Art & Graphic line, as well as its fine writing instruments and accessories. Too see their complete product line, visit Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft today!
This was my first opportunity to use the Faber-Castell's Gelatos.  Gelatos are Luscious acid-free pigment sticks that glide on creamy vibrant color and blend beautifully with or without water.

For my first card, I randomly scribbled Cotton Candy, Grape and Blueberry Gelatos onto my watercolor paper that had been clear embossed with Rubber Cafe's Leaf Swirls image.

To blend the colors, I used my's messy fun!  The colors blended easily with no water at all.  To clean off my clear embossing, I wiped off the excess pigment color with an alcohol wipe I had handy.  Clean-up of the finger was easy with water!

For the butterflies, I tried out the Faber Castell PITT Artist Pen Big Brushs in SkyBlue, Cobalt Blue, May Green and Cobalt Green on some White Metallic Text paper.   Next, I stamped Rubber Cafe's Large Trailing Butterflies image with Scrap Happy Glue onto my colored paper.  Once the glue was dry, I burnished some You're So Fine Hanukkah Blue glitter to detail my butterflies.

For the sentiment I used a portion of Rubber Cafe's Words of Inspiration image which I colored with the Faber Castell Cobalt Blue PITT Artist Pen Big Brush and stamped on white cardstock.  I accented the word inspire with Faber Castell's Green Metallic PITT Artist Pen.

My only embellishment is a touch of white Candi which is also available at The Rubber Cafe in a rainbow of colors/styles.

My second card today featuring these products is below:
For this card I clear embossed the images as above.  This time I colored some more purposeful swirls with the Grape Gelato, and added in some of the Silver Metallic Gelato, both in the swirls and randomly around the edges.  A touch of the BlueBerry Gelato was also randomly added.

This time I used water and the brush that was included with the Gelato set to paint/blend the colors together.  Again, this was very easy and fun.  I love the more purposeful look of designer paper I achieved on this one....with one stamp and three gelatos!

The same stamps and techniques were used on the sentiment, butterflies and embellishments for this card.
Can you see the sheen on this one that the metallic gelato gives!  LOVE!!!!!

Angry Birds Meet Digital Tuesday!

How cute is this?!  I shamelessly cased this card from one from a tutorial I ran across...perfect for  an Angry Bird lover I know!  This card uses a variety of Stampin Up! punches.  I supplemented Spellbinders Dies for the ones I did not have on hand.

The grass is made with HoneyComb Paper and my new Fabulous Flowers HoneyPoP clear set with Inky Antics. This is extremely quick and easy and is the perfect look on this card for grass!

YES!  I said *MY* new stamp set!!  I am so excited to have had the opportunity to design two new stamp sets for Inky Antic's HoneyPoP collection.  One for Borders and one for Flowers!  I will be sharing more with these sets and the fun shapes they create in the days ahead!

The digital element for the Digital Tuesday Challenge would be the sentiment which I typed up on the computer since I was late for the intended birthday recipient!

Our Craft Lounge - YOU ROCK!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
This week's Our Craft Lounge challenge is Graduation/School is Out, so I made a masculine Graduation card using the Every Heart Beat stamp set.

I stamped the large chevron in red and black ink alternately on kraft cardstock.  I left some spaces where I randomly stamped/masked *rock*.    I fussy cut some stars and added a bit of linen thread.

Be sure to play along with the Our Craft Lounge Challenge for your chance to win some stamping fun!

One Crazy Stamper June Sketch Challenge!

This is one of two posts today, please scroll for more inspiration!
It's time for the June challenge on the One Crazy Stamper blog!  This month we're doing a sketch!

I chose to go with Your Next Stamp's Summer Fun Fhiona image which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with the following Copic Markers:  110, T2, E59, E57, E53, E44, E43, E42, E11, E02, R22, R21, RV55, RV17, B43, B41.

I fussy cut  my images and paired them up with some designer paper from KI Memories Summer Splash collection and a sun I cut out of some 12x12 designer paper which I'm not sure of the source on.  Wish I did the funky suns!  I finished my card with some white Signo Gel Pen detailing.

I have one more card to share that is not the sketch, but uses the same Summer Splash collection and includes the set's sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by....and be sure to check out the Challenge Blog for more inspiration and your chance to win some stamping goodies!  Check out the store for great new products that are looking to come live with you!
