Sneek Peek and Magazine Challenge
This card is a sneek peek of our EIO Design Team Gallery that opens for viewing on August 5th.
The card was inspired by one of my SBS2 Blog Sisters, Jenn, who challenged her blog readers to make a card/layout using a magazine photo/article. I have had this photo around for quite a while with the thought to make a card for my brother. We've had some rowdy games of Monopoly and I thought it would make a fun birthday card to bring back the memories!
The cardstock is from Basic Grey's Boxer collection and is perfect since it is already distressed a bit. The Birthday stamp is by Stamps in Motion. The chipboard arrows are from Boxer's Chipboard Sticker set. I used Basic Grey's Insignia stamp set to stamp on the Bosher from Bazzil. The r is off of an alphabet paperclip I picked up at JoAnn Fabrics. I used faux stitching and the distressing tool to age the layers. I sanded the magazine photo and then applied Time Holtz's Distress Ink in tea dye to tone down the sanding and age the photo.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
