Fred Says Spring is Coming!

Ok, seriously! I think winter has been here about 2.5 weeks and I just couldn't wait any longer to post a spring-y card! I decided to play with a set from Fred, She Said Digital Designs, the Blue Daffodil Card Front Kit. This image happens to come pre-colored in 3 colors...and in the kit you are given a piercing template, and enough pieces to make 3 cards.

I laid the piercing template over the colored image and did my piercing on a foam mat. Next I cut out the image. Next I cut out one of the ovals, leaving a narrow border and applied it with foam tape to the pierced panel. Finally, I cut out one blossom and one flower center and popped each of them up on foam tape. My card has some dimension!

I layered my pierced panel on a piece of white cardstock that I ran through a SU! embossing folder. The base cardstock is SU!'s Brilliant Blue. My finishing touch is a bow.

I'm sitting here with a heater at my feet and my Ott-Lite on overhead...it *almost* feels like spring!
