Fred, She Said - Beauty!
Oooh, I had fun making this card! My original intent was to make this card for the Digital Tuesday Challenge 22 ~ Lace and Pearls. I'm late, but here it is!
The flowers are digital ones from Fred, She Said Digital Designs. The Lovely Blossoms were printed out on white paper and then colored with Copic Markers and a clear Spica Glitter Pen. I then cut out the flowers and ran them through the Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder. I love the unexpected pop of texture on the flowers. I printed out some pre-colored leaves from the Faux Foldy Flower Collection to nestle under my flower.
The pink patterned paper is also digital, and is a freebie offered by Tracey at Fred, She Said! I layered that on a scalloped circle panel from Archiver's. I used faux stitching and pearls to dress up the scallops.
I love Martha Stewart's butterfly punches...and picked up two butterfly ones that I didn't have recently. I used them to make a frame of sorts for my card sentiment. I attached them with glue dots. Don't they remind you of the paper doll chains?! I remember a book of my Mom's that I had when I was little, and the illustrations of a little girl and her paperdoll chains always intrigued me!
A fun final touch was to layer the butterfly punches over my SU! photo corner punches. I let the wings spring up a bit on those and used pearls so that they showed up a bit more. Thanks for taking a peek, and I hope you saw something beautiful today!
