Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Challenges Blog!
Cuttlebug Challenges Blog is celebrating their 1 year anniversary during the month of September, and we, at Embellish On-line, are celebrating with them!
The entire month of September, Cuttlebug Challenges is devoted to celebrating birthdays, with themes of all kinds from their DT. Last week, they brought you ideas for all kinds
of invites. This week they bring inspiration for gift bags & cards and challenge you to create your own birthday bag & card.
That's where we come in. Barb has graciously donated a $25 prize package of scrapping
goodies, to one lucky participant, selected from this week's gift bag/card challenge entries!
Now, for my project details! For my bag, I used a chipboard bird box that I found at Micheals. I loved the shape of the bird! I traced it on the back of Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love designer paper...I thought this piece looked like feathers! Then I cut it out, pierced it, faux stitched and distressed it before attaching it with red line tape. I used a strip of nailheads to accent his *wing* and a button/glitter dot for his eye.The entire month of September, Cuttlebug Challenges is devoted to celebrating birthdays, with themes of all kinds from their DT. For the card I scanned my bird and printed it out smaller....just how cool is that?! I added the nail brads and a tiny brad for his eye. The background paper is another sheet from Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love Collection....I just love those little birdies! I went out in the yard and found me a branch for my bird to sit on....it's glue-dotted on. The sentiment is from Inky Antics and I've distressed it with ink and done it as a wavy banner. Flowers are Prima that have been distressed with Tim Holtz inks and a Making Memories shape brad for the center. The swirls are Sizzix die cuts. Thanks for stopping by!
