Friday Challenge 68 ~ Not Intended That Way

Today's challenge at Embellish-Online was Cindy's and it was to use a stamp in a way that it was not intended to be used. I chose this Christmas Tree by SU! and came up with two totally different uses for this stamp, and neither is for Christmas!!

My first card is a Snow Cone! I recently acquired the BasicGrey Nook and Pantry Collection, and the colors in this paper just made me think of an old-fashioned ice cream shoppe! I am intrigued by this set of stamps....the shapes and lines are very interesting. I decided that it sort of looked like an ice cream cone, so I colored it brown with my Copics. ...and what better for my ice cream image than a snowflake, chocolate of course!! I popped up the snowflake for added dimension and embellished it with Spica Glitter Pens for additional shine.

Other items on this card would be the Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder, Nestabilities and a button from Dress It Up!

I was originally going to make a card with three icecream cones on it...but decided to go with one and the other two were laying on my desk, their points together....and you know me and my medallions! I decided to go with it and create this Prima-inspired flower. I used Copic Markers here to shade my *petals.* For some of the layers I cut a few trees in half for the top layer I popped it up on foam tape. I matched my snowflake embossing with the flower patterns of the BasicGrey Nook and Pantry Collection and it made for a cheery card!

Don't forget that there is FREE SHIPPING, a FREQUENT BUYERS CLUB, and LOTS OF SALE ITEMS at Embellish-Online every day! AND....until Sunday you can get and additional 10% off of Barb's already LOW prices on Stampavie images!! I'll be back tomorrow with another darling Stampavie card! Thanks for stopping by!

Very creative use of a stamp that most people would use in just one way. Great job!!

Oh my - what wonderful ideas to use this stamp. You are so creative. Both are great but I especially like the second one - very dramatic and stunning.

Wow! That looks great. I am not a stamper, but my daughter (9) really enjoys it and I am trying to learn so I can help her develop her skill. Thanks for your blog.
WHOOT!!!! How absolutely clever!
