All Is Calm, All Is Bright....

Ack, the glitter never made it back to it's home in my studio....I had to make one more shaker card with the Creative Christmas Creative Cafe Kit for The Rubber Cafe!  I fell in love with this designer paper from the Echo Park The Story of Christmas paper pad in the kit.  I was able to use four stamps from the Christmas is Coming  and Home for the Holidays stamp sets.

The blue designer paper is cut to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.  The snowflake designer paper is cut to 5 1/4 x 4 inches.  I cut the largest Spellbinders Labels 4 die from the center of  this panel.

TIP:  To line up the scene on the blue designer paper so it fits perfectly in your window, temporarily lay the frame down onto the panel, being sure it is centered and then stamp your image with black ink.

TIP:  If your scene is not as black as you wish it to be, go over it with a Sharpie or Copic marker so that is is perfectly black.

Next, tape a piece of acetate measuring 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches to the back of the frame. Attach foam tape around the back of the frame, creating your shaker box.

Stamp the snowflakes onto the blue paper with white ink, I had Stampabilities White ink handy.
Add a bit of the You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight glitter to the center of the image.  Remove the foam tape backing and close up your shaker box.
Next I used various circle punches ranging from 5/16 to 1 inch to punch and mat snowflakes from the designer paper scraps.  Some I popped up with foam tape, others I added to the card flat.

TIP:  It adds a fun touch if you add a few of the smallest snowflake punches directly to the acetate, creating more depth.

I added a strip of the velvet white ribbon to the bottom of my shaker window, leaving a bit of of the window exposed below so that the glitter snow can still peek out!

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of the designer paper measuring 2 3/4 x 3/8 inches.  I cut a banner end and then matted the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock measuring 3 x 3/4 inches.  I added a bit of sparkle with a Stardust Pen before tucking it under a snowflake element.

My last touch was to add a silver floss bow to my card...this added some fun sparkle to go with the Stardust Pen detailing as well as covering up a fold mark on the velvet ribbon.
