Felt Flurries - Takes 1 and 2!
I was on a spree yesterday....ELEVEN projects popped themselves together on my stampin' desk! I started out organizing....a very much needed activity in my stamping studio! Somehow in the midst of all my organizing I found some things that I'd buried! I was gifted these SU! Little Felt Flurries....and they turned up on eight of my projects!
In true clean-off-my-desk fashion, this card uses pieces that were all laying on my desk. I recently showed this fun technique with Tim Holtz distress inks. I inked my cardstock panels with Faded Jeans distress inks. Next I took a large snowflake background stamp and spritzed it lightly with water. Stamp it on your inked panels, and magically the pattern appears! How cool is that?!
Let your paper dry completely, or hurry it along with a heat gun. Next I embossed Tim Holtz's snowman image with white detail embossing powder. Warm Wishes is by Come Clean Designs.
My Felt Flurries made their debut on this card. I love these funky star brads I bought ages ago...I wanted some pewter accents...and these fit the bill. The funky swirls are pieces that I salvaged from some Sizzix die cut scraps...way too cool to toss, and especially on this fun coated paper from The Paper Cut!
This star ornament I unearthed in my digging...I had started it last year....had the Daisy D's paper faux stitched onto the ornament by Provocraft that I had picked up at Michaels a few years ago. I stamped JOY from SU!'s Small Script set and added a few felt flurries and a pewter star brad. A wired ribbon finishes off my ornament!
