Tea Bag Folding for the CropStop Challenge: Bright Colors!

This week's CropStop challenge is to use sunny/bright colors on our projects.  I decided to do both and use Tea Bag Folding as my technique!  My first card is all ivory and gold....so is definitely sunny!

The background is embossed with Cuttlebug Embossing Plus Brocade Window.  I embossed two pieces of cardstock and trimmed them so they would make a square rather than the 5x7 panel they usually make.

Next stamp eight images in metallic gold ink and let them dry.  Trim the pieces square and then using the Kite Fold, fold your pieces and assemble your medallion.

I embellished the medallion with Candi embellishments.  The ivory ones are attached upside down with glue dots.  The metallic gold one is attached with Candi Fix to the center of the medallion.

As a final finishing touch I added some Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Classic Butterfly Punches to the card.

For my second card I followed the same process.  This time it is a Hero Arts flower stamp that has been stamped with a bright Kaleidacolor ink pad.  If your stamped image is not symmetrical, you will want to be sure you fold your pieces all oriented in the same direction...otherwise your medallion will not end up symmetrical!

The background has been embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

This time I wove some embroidery floss around the corner Candi Embellishment pieces to create a frame for my medallion.

And the fun part about this technique is that if you fold the stamped image oriented in a different direction, you get a totally different look!  Same stamp, same colors, different medallion!
